OK! It may interest your to know that for every public recruitment there is a time table agreed upon by the recruiting agency and FCC,at 1st its a draft time table after they agree it becomes official time table and DPR is not an exception to this rule! All you need is to b privileged to see d time table, infact you can even see d names of successful candidates from FCC if u know sm1 from d chairman's office let alone time table! I don't think information should be a problem all u need is to know sm1 from FCC,senate committee on character, house committee on character, kai to crown it all every DPR staff knows when d recruitment will end Cuz they had a meeting with the union and the union told them when it will end Cuz they complained of grossly being understaffed and they told them they will have new colleagues b4 match! The successful ones should get ready for their 5dyas induction in Lagos! I wish every1 d best! I believe we are here to help out each other that's exactly what I'm doing!
. Yes I think you are Wright, in the sense that a DPR staff confirm to me yesterday that the whole Recruitment exercise will be concluded by March. May Allah in His infinite mercies and wisdom make us among the successful ones. Ameen. We Trust you oh Lord.

If u understand the mysteries of this world;
u should know that answering all interview questions correctly does not guarantee getting the job
... Also being grounded more than ur interviewers n asking them intimidating questions as being purported is never a criterium
...
Most pple did well, but the final selection will be determined by God almighty

I did not at any time say my answers guaranteed me the job. Till tomorrow, I will repeat that I was more knowledgeable than “my” panelists in my area. Most often, those in the private sector are more grounded than those at govt regulators. Just like someone discussing Mercedes V-boot and talking about front-wheel drive (I didn't go to tell them that though). However, correct your impression, I didn’t go to tell them I know more. In fact I said what my questions were, they are not anything technical. It is the interviewers work to ask technical questions not mine. The first question I asked was how a typical career projection would be for someone of my qualifications and experience. They somehow dodged it. The second question was about how DPR would have personnel in almost every state capital yet petrol is hoarded and sold above pump price. I twisted it and made it look like some of their top officials take compensation from marketers and look the other side (that’s the one that made the FCC person laugh, and it is true).

Leave all this God talk all the time, human beings make final selection not God.

OmaniPadmeHum:

No one will offer him a job that he isn't interested in taking, or that he feels he is too good for. Even if you are Albert Einstein, you can't go to an interview with the mindset that you are all high and mighty and your goal is to show the interviewers that they are dumb. Such body language and smugness is your loss. Then why are you job hunting? Luckily this is the civil service, so who knows, good luck to him. In a private organisation I wouldn't call him back. I can't call you to offer you a job you feel (within the fantastic figment of your imagination) that you are too good for, while there are other highly motivated applicants. I can't offer you a job that you feel I should beg you to take. Secondly, such a person may come with a " know it all", "I am better than you" and, "I shouldn't be here with you fools but let me just manage" mindset and be a problem with the existing team(s), even as an experienced hire.

You wonder why some staff are good choices when companies are downsizing.

You are free to talk your own. I just made an elaborate post of how my interview went, anything you make out of it is your own cup of tea. My interview session was very friendly and everybody (myself inclusive) had a good dosage of laughter. I do not think anyone picked offense in the room. If you are on Nairaland picking offence for them, goodluck! In a matter of weeks, I believe we shall know. I had been out of job for over a year and DPR is not more than some other opportunities I had lost. So my life doesn't and wouldn't depend on a bribe-infested, money-calculating, salary-speculating, largely-idle government department.

. But, do you know a total of how many of both GT. And EH invited for interview please? I ask you this, in the sense that your narration is in line with what a DPR staff told me that, the whole recruitment process will be concluded by March. And that we should pray patently and faithfully put our trust in Almighty Allah the merciful, because a lot of pressure is on DPR now than the previous employment. Quick question guys, if you had a foreign job offer of let's say 900k per month after taxes and besides benefits. I know the money looks big but consider feeding, accommodation, transportation and etc which should be about 250-300/350k monthly and you had a job offer from DPR, which would you take? Just curious and at least it gives us something to talk and debate about. Ehm, as we dey talk, no insults biko, lol. Happy new year peeps.

You are still making same mistake the guys above are trying to correct you for...
1. Human makes the selections, yes, but their selections are totally based on God's decision.
We toss the coin, but it is the Lord who controls its decision... Prov. 16:33 TLB
2. If you know DPR is idle and infested with bribery, excuse me: why did you apply?

If I were you, I will not even follow any public thread to stay updated with the recruitment process. You shouldn't even be part of this thread. Just seat in your house since you are special, DPR will send a driver to deliver your appointment letter and then drive you to your executive chair at DPR headquarter.

Please calm your pride.

Thank you! 300 for both Trainees and experience hire and 100 for OND making it a total of 400!

But Bro. the OND applicants have not been called for interview... Will they still be called or not or should we the OND applicants be expecting documentation stage as you said the successful ones has already been selected... Should we just be expecting appointment letter together with the GT/EH... Thanks

each department in each region may have been briefed on the total number number of candidates needed. They can therefore make their selection/recommendation immediately after the interview and forward to HR-Lagos Headquarter for vetting/approval.

Mind you that the merit list is the one that requires little more work since the man-know-man list (we pray there is nothing like this) is automatic.

My point exactly is that it is possible because my department at the university organized a Post graduate examination for a very large number of candidates and released the score in 2 days time and the final selection was done the next day.

Why did they spend much time before interview?

I may be wrong but my instinct tells me that CBT performance coupled with God's grace is still the rate-determining step.

DPR is a great place particularly on the long-term. Barring any personal issue at work, you can be there till retirement.
