sorry how is it the norm? I know during weekends and public holidays all profit accrued would be paid on resumption. But in this case i have not received any benefits from the 4days in question.

I opened the account online and paid since Wednesday
aren't they supposed to have sent me feedback or something?
Or do I still need to submit evidence of payment again?

Have you gone to the bank to submit evidence like utilities, ID card et al. It shouldn't take long.

I don't think I have to do that for the online account.

They asked for my bvn, which has all my details in it.

Someone however told me that I have to wait like 5 days

Is that true?

Go to the bank with your ID, utility bill and a passport to regularise your account

please explain naira cost averaging

You can Google dollar cost averaging. That's where the concept is gotten from.

So basically let's say you have N50,000 to invest in an instrument (equity) that the price changes daily. If you decide to buy at once at the day's price of say N5 you get 10,000 units.

But with cost averaging it recommends you buy a little over a period of time because of the changing price. It could reduce and you get more for less over time. Tomorrow it might be N4 and N6 the next and then N4 again. If you buy at N5000 quantities over time your average price would be lower than if you bought all at once at N5 and you may get more units than 10,000.

A tip: be disciplined with your money. As you are investing a ĺittle at a time it would be tempting to spend the remaining on something else.

I hope this helps. You can learn more by googling dollar cost averaging.
