Sunanul Fitrah (innate Practices) by Lukgaf(m): 4:13am On Jan 05, 2018 |
Sunanul Fitrah (Innate Practices) _Alhamdulillah wasalatu wasalaam ‘ala rasulillah_ Fitrah means the design of Allaah according to which He has created mankind. It is that when they are done, it is in accordance with the natural pattern on which Allaah made mankind and urged them to follow, so that they will be better and more perfect. This word (fitrah) was mentioned in the Quran and Hadith. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “So set your face steadily and truly to the Faith: (establish) Allaah’s handiwork according to the pattern (fitrah) on which He has made mankind: no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allaah: that is the standard Religion: but most among mankind understand not.” Q30:30. Al-Tabari (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in his Tafseer: “Fitrah: the deen (way or religion) of Allaah.” - Al-Tabari’s tafseer (commentary) of the aayah (interpretation of the meaning): “[Iblees said] ‘…and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allaah.’” Q4:119. Abu Hurayrah said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Five things are part of the fitrah: removing the pubic hair, circumcision, trimming the moustache, plucking the armpit hairs, and trimming the nails.” al-jamaa’ah. And it is reported on the authority of Zakariyah ibn Abi’ Zaa’idah, from Mus’ab Ibn Shaybah, from Talq ibn Habeeb, from Ibn az-Zubayr, from Aa’isha (Radiya ‘Llahu ‘anha) that she said “Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “There are ten things which are part of al-fitrah: Trimming the moustache, growing the beard, using the siwaak, istinshaaq (sniffing water into the nostrils for the purpose of cleaning) with water, clipping the nails, washing the finger joints (and in between them), plucking the armpit hair, shaving the pubic region and cleaning the private parts after excretion.” Zakariya said: ‘Mus’ab said: “I have forgotten the tenth thing, unless it was Madmadah.” (I.e. rinsing the mouth with water). Muslim, Abu Daawood, Tirmidhi Nasaa’I and Ibn Maajah. *Do you know that… * Fitrah is the ancient sunnah (way) which was followed by all the Prophets and which was enjoined by all the laws they brought. It is a natural and innate way. (Al-Shawkaani, Nayl al-Awtaar, Baab Sunan al-Fitrah). And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “… it is the religion of your father Ibraaheem…” Q 22:78. He also warn those who disobey His Messenger, saying: “Let those who disobey his command beware lest they are subjected to a Fitnah or a painful torment.” Q24:63 * Forty days (of the last cutting) is the specified a time limit within which people should cut their nails, shave their pubic hair, pluck their armpit hair and trim their moustaches. Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him), who was the servant of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “He set a time for us to trim our moustaches, cut our nails, pluck our armpit hair and shave our pubic hair; we were not to leave that for more than forty days.” Narrated by Imaam Muslim in al-Saheeh (258). It was also narrated by Imaam Ahmad (11823) and by al-Nasaa’i (14), Majmoo’ Fataawa wa Maqaalaat Mutanawwi’ah li Samaahat al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him), 10/50. * Clipping the nails is one of the Sunan al-Fitrah, as is indicated by the saheeh ahaadeeth, and it is mustahabb to start on the right, because it is proven in Saheeh al-Bukhaari (163) that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to like to start on the right when putting on shoes, combing his hair, purifying himself and in all his affairs. al-Majmoo’ (1/339), Sharh Saheeh Muslim (3/149), Tarh al-Tathreeb (2/77). And there is no proven hadeeth about the order of fingers when cutting the nails. … Ibn Daqeeq al-Eid rejected the order mentioned by al-Ghazaali and those who followed him, and he said: There is no basis for any of that, and to suggest that it is mustahabb when there is no evidence for that is abhorrent in my view. If anyone were to suggest that it is mustahabb to start with the right forefinger because of its honourable status, there is no basis for the rest of this sequence. Yes there is a basis for starting with the right hand and the right foot, which is “he liked to start on the right.” Ibn Hajar said in Fath al-Baari (10/345). * Circumcision is an obligation for men and an honour, not an obligation, for women. Al-Bukhaari (6298) and Muslim (2370) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Ibraaheem (peace be upon him) circumcised himself when he was eighty years old, and he circumcised himself with an adze.” And Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) said to His Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam): “Then we sent the Revelation to you [O Muhammad, saying]: “Follow the true Religion of Ibraaheem…” Q16: 123. Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in his book al-Mughni: “Circumcision is an obligation for men and an honour, not an obligation, for women.” This is the opinion of a number of scholars. And it is preferred that the circumcision be performed on the seventh day after the birth, according to the hadeeth of Jaabir (Radiya ‘Llahu ‘anhu), where he states that: “Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) held the aqeeqah of Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn and circumcised them on the seventh day.” At-Tabaraani – Al-Ma’jam as-Sagheer * Growing the beard is obligatory and shaving it is forbidden, because it entails changing Allaah’s creation and it is one of the deeds of Satan, who said: “And I will surely order them to change the creation of Allaah….” Q4:119. The Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) indicates that it is obligatory to let the beard grow and that it is haraam to shave it or cut it. It was narrated in al-Saheehayn that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Cut the moustache and let the beard grow; be different from the mushrikeen.” al-Bukhaari, al-Libaas, 5442; Muslim, al-Tahaarah, 382, Kitaab al-Libaas wa’l-Zeenah, 2102). It is also the sunnah to take care of the beard. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recommended combing hair, and said, “Whoever has hair, let him take care of it.” (Abu Dawood, Kitaab al-Tarajjul, 3632. Al-Albaani said in Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawood: it is hasan saheeh. Hadeeth no. 3509). Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah, 5/133 * The Siwaak means cleaning the mouth and teeth with a siwaak (a stick or twig used for this purpose). Siwaak is a method of cleaning the mouth which also earns the pleasure of Allaah, as is proven in the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) who said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘Siwaak cleanses the mouth and pleases the Lord.’” al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh, 2/274, Ahmad, 6/47, and al-Nisaa’i, 1/50. Its isnaad is saheeh, see al-Irwa’ 1/105). Use of the siwaak is repeatedly encouraged, as in the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him), who reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Were it not for the fact that I did not want to make things too hard for my ummah, I would have commanded them to use the siwaak at every time of prayer.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 2/299 and Muslim, 1/151). According to another report narrated by al-Bukhaari, he said: “…at every time of making wudoo’.” It is recommended at all times of night and day; when making wudoo’ and at times of prayer, when entering one’s home to be with one’s family, when getting up from sleep, when the smell of one’s mouth changes, when going to the mosque, when reading Qur’aan etc. al-Bukhaari, 1/98, 2/299 and Muslim, 1/220, 1/151. http://fiqhclass.org/index.php/2017/07/03/sunanul-fitrah-innate-practices-2-of-2/ http://fiqhclass.org/index.php/2017/07/03/sunanul-fitrah-innate-practices-1-of-2/ May Allaah grant us understanding 3 Likes |

جزاكم الله خيرا I want to ask 1 question and it goes like this i wnt quick respond. It is mentioned in d above hadiths that we should trim our mustach pluck our ampit hair but if someone now shave both without leaving behind any hair has such person gone against the prophet and become a sinful somebody? because it is clearly stated trim and pluck not shaving. |

abatisegun:Plucking and trimming is the best. You can shave them if plucking and trimming is not convenient. |

Why does anyone in the 21st century CE, astonishingly, still give any credence to the writings of a delusional 7th century ignorant goat herder who claimed an angel spoke to him in a cave? Apparently there are still approximately 1.5-billion or more Neanderthals out there who still "believe". Beats me!!![/quote ] while it also beats me that a certain man named paul who was noted as a prosecutor of jesus christ and hated him so much while he was alive, could come around after the death of jesus christ to write the bible about jesus and give you senseless people to believe and follow.i just cant imagine beign as senseless as u people |

Gbemishile1: a small boy of 21 that will have his Beng at 22 is matured enough to talk in the league of sound minds. I am an atheist and I know for sure that anyone who believes in religious doctrines doesn't have sound mind and wails to one imaginary being for solution to his problems. Islam is a religion of paedophiles |

iamgenius: lol. bros the difference BTW both of us is that I discovered that I can control my destiny. the solutions to my problems are around me and I can achieve anything I want through smartness and hardwork. I don't need prayers to solve my problems, I confront them, analyze them and use my brain to proffer solutions. religion is a limitation and a scam. religion only solve the problems they create |
