tbaba1234: My team is a delight to watch at nest of champions. I don't know about other teams at other venues. As per poor quality, even some premier league games are poor in terms of play. Officiating is fair at some venues due to a lot of factors chief of which is safety of officials. Poor marketing: there's improvement. You too can help by following and retwitting LMC post on Twitter and Facebook. If we promote our league on social media, more people would be willing to go and watch. That will mean more money to the club. The club can buy better players. Agencies would be willing to advertise during matches and there will be more money in TV right. No matter what LMC does, without our support there's a limit to what they can achieve. Home teams win because of psychology, officiating(see above). Again, almost all the teams have almost same financial clout and hence are at par in terms of coaching and quality of players. Thus with little home support, the home side wins. 2 Likes |

Joebie: Joebie: If KC is not doing well in his club but he still gets the chance to play for the SE and 'performs', how do you know Kayode will not perform better in GWG if given the chance though he has not scored 'this' season since club performance is not the yardstick for call into D SE? Joebie: You claimed in your first post that Kelechi is perfoming in the GWG hence he deserves to be called but I asked how do you know Kayode will not perform better if given the same CHANCE in the GWG? Unfortunately, you began with an attack instead of given a more cogent and reasonable answer. Now, let me ask you, with all the his performances that earned him goals and individual awards that he won last season how many chances was he given to play? Someone even said Onyekuru performed better than Kayode with the few chances he got. Perhaps, we have forgotten so soon how Kayode snatched the ball and gave a through pass to free Iheanacho on one on one with the goalkeeper against Senegal that salvaged a draw after Iheanacho scored that penalty. That was even his first match in GWG and he didn't spent up to 15 minutes to rescue a point as a SS. Is that not performace? Based on your first question, the reality on ground never favored Kayode because when he performed he was NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVEN A CHANCE and that has rendered the second question inconsequential. EOD However, where did you read me make case for Kayode to be called? I hope u no dey drink maya dey take read my post oooo? 2 Likes 1 Share |

I grew up in Benue state during the heydays of the BCC Lions and Lobi Stars but I never caught on with the local league and I doubt if I'd ever get on with it because my programming makes me strongly disinterested in the league. Try as I could, I just am not interested in it. But I want to say something encouraging especially to guys like BascoVanVeli, danycrusoe, somehow etc: remember that in the late 90's and early 2000 Nigerian music was not a force to reckon with even though it had enjoyed great home patronage from early independence till the early nineties when most recording studios packed up and left Nigeria. In the 90's and early 2000 Tupac, biggie, Dr. Dre, p. Diddy, Master P, DMX, Sisqo, Wyclef, Mary J Blige were dominating the airwaves in Nigeria. But there were lone voice in the wilderness: Tuface, Plantashun boiz, African China were carrying on doggedly improving and becoming better. Fifteen years on ook at how the tide has changed. People hardly listen to foreign music now. Nigerian musicians are even getting international recognition, winning awards. I see the same thing happening with football. The most important thing is make sure the word about the league is put out there. Keep the league in focus. It will get better. This is based on a simple psychological truth:we perform or keep our best for the public eye. So if the league is put into focus and continously so it would improve. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

forgiveness:I don't need to watch the match, the coach that put him there watched it and so did some sports journalists and the reviews were nothing stlellar. Whether I watched or not is inconsequential, I rarely watch our games sef cuz I'm in school 90% of the time....but he was given a chance and has had others since then. You are not being logical. There are many what IFs. It makes no sense to drop a player who is performing for your team just on the ground that he is not performing for his club. If we go by club performance, we will not have a team. However a player have to earn his invite either by club performance or SE performance. Kayode is a striker. He needs to score first. Today I don’t support Tammy because he is not performing. KC is ahead of Tammy, because he is in the team and has shown he is relevant. You can as well make an excuse for every player with your What Ifs forgiveness: |

forgiveness:it is you who should keep mute rather than littering this thread with idiotic comparisons. Kayode was given a chance EOD. If you are now basing chances on whetger it was watched or not, na you dey change narrative. Long and short is: did he play? Yes, did he make any impact? No. He has racked up at least 120 minutes with the Super Eagles and 0 goals. Please, this is 2018, stop crying about things you cannot change. Now, why are groaning, gnashing and cursing Guardiola, Leicester city's Coaches, Fans and even the whole club for not given Iheanacho chance if you had answers for one you don't call your brother as seen from the bolded ? Don't you think you have lost it if what is bolded up there is also applicable to Iheancho before you just open your mouth and start yanning anyhow without thinking? At least, use your brain small. However, if You assume Kayode is my brother because he is YORUBA and you think you are superior to that particular tribe. Girl, you must be an ignoramus. 4 Likes 1 Share |

terzurum5: This is a a very critical question that may take something akin to writing a monogragh to answer. I will try keep it as brief as possible. To bring fans to the stadium and encourage league patronage, the right structures must be put in place, from bottom up. Club structure Looking at the organogram of our league clubs, its quite sad what you have is an elaborate civil service and political structure. Yiu basically have the potus like CEO who is in charge of virtually everything about the club (transfers, players/coaches recruitment, salaries, scouting, marketing etc). I will be hard pressed if any Nigerian club have a director of football, media consultant, head of operations, chief scout, brand manager etc. Club CEOs are like sole administrators in Nigeria. If I wasthe CEO of an Npfl clubside, my first appointment will be a director of football and brand manager. Without structures like these anchored by an active board, our clubsides won't have the human resources to drive home any clear cut vision. quality of the football This is a broad topic. Many things c8me into play to have an improved level of football. Facilities, technology, coaches, agents, players, renumeration .... I will pick on Nigerian players and their agents. The lack of professionalism by Npfl players and their agents stinks to high heavens. Npfl players sign contracts wuth the caveat that they can leave anytime an offer for trial abroad comes up. The clubs themselves are handicapped , they cannot plan for a season depending on any player because he can leave for trial any minute. How can you have decent football standard if you can loose a key player on your way to a crucial game? Stephen Obey nearly snookered Mfm last season when he disappeared suddenly. Branding Npfl clubs must get their branding sorted. People should start thinking outside the box. Mushroom companies buy slots on radio to advertise their agbo and jedi jedi bitters. But big Npfl clubs are not heard of in their states. No radio/tv programs to engage the fans . I was passing through a particular stadium the other day and I noticed they wrote their fixture list in the up coming season on a chalk board. No brand appeal whatsoever. A freaking chalk board? How much is an electronic display board? Oh my goodness. Let me stop before I totally loose it. 3 Likes 1 Share |
