Amen by fire.

My morale just weak. Didn't know the back page of writing answer sheet was also available to be written on. I went on struggling to squeeze my 250 words on the front page only. It was just too late when I realized. I feel so depressed, hoping for a miracle nonetheless!

What of the work reference addressed as just TO-WHOM-IT-MAY CONCERN or must it be specific to the Visa office?

Post your JD. Let's see how to help.
1.Regulate and control the importation, exportation, manufacture, advertisement, distribution, sale and use of drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, packaged water and chemicals

2.Conduct appropriate tests and ensure compliance with standard specifications designated and approved by the council for the effective control of quality of food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, packaged water, and chemicals.
Undertake appropriate investigation into the production premises and raw materials for food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, bottled water and chemicals and establish a relevant quality assurance system, including certification of the production sites and of the regulated products

3.Undertake inspection of imported foods, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, bottled water, and chemicals and establish a relevant quality assurance system, including certification of the production sites and of the regulated products.

4.Compile standard specifications, regulations, and guidelines for the production, importation, exportation, sale and distribution of food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, bottled water, and chemicals

5.Undertake the registration of food, drugs, medical devices, bottled water and chemicals

6.Control the exportation and issue quality certification of food, drugs, medical devices, bottled water and chemicals intended for export

It is well with you, be positive. You will be pleasantly surprised.

For those preparing to write, dear all, while preparing, I came across a name from this same Nairaland site. [b] IELTSLIZ.
Someone had passed and used her teachings. I took note of her name and went to find her. She has a blog and Youtube channel.

Download the IELTS paper here https://www.ielts.org/-/media/pdfs/general-writing-answer-sheet-task-2.ashx?la=en

It was from this lady I learnt to practice the writing test on the actual IELTS paper. These papers are freely available online to download and practice with. I used them to practice as it will teach you how long your writing should be and make you very comfortable with the paper on the exam day.
I advise anyone planning to write to seek this lady out (please there are very many others like her that you can also follow) i'm just showing what worked for me

Thanks to everyone. The test went well except for the listening sections - though not because of my state of mind. It was a bit difficult listening to the audio via speaker instead of headset (wrote @MOD Center) so i missed out some answers.

@ the end, it will end in praize.

This MOD IELTS partner doesn't seem to be the best choice. I remember someone here mentioned their cost of applying for EOR is more than twice that of BC. Also, a lot of folks here will agree with me that listening from a speaker can hamper concentration and sound filtering as opposed to using a wireless headphone.

Referring to your speaking experience, I can relate to that. I didn't perform well by my own judgement as the examiner dozed off during part 2 and the topic in my cue card was not a familiar subject so I was scampering for the right choice of words. In all, I still had 7.5 in speaking. So relax!

Wish you all the best in your result. Cheers! kiss

Sorry about your experience, but may I categorically say that you didn't practice your writing or if you did, you used plain or notebook paper instead of using the sample answer sheet? If you had, you woulda become familiar with writing with it. I pray you come out successful in the end. Awaiting your testimony.

Let's start from 2263 Inspectors in public and environmental health and occupational health and safety and then keep looking for a more appropriate one if any. Remember the classification says 'perform some or all of the duties' So maybe you don't have to have done everything listed under the main duties. Just ensure they match to a reasonable extent. Others can help with better suggestions.

Hello everyone. Stumbled on this thread when it was in part two and I've been following, though not avidly but would try to read up all (from part 1) soon. But before that, I have a question which might have been asked before but I'm going to ask anyway. I'm in my final year studying for a degree in Business Education. Normally, since acquiring the ACCA is quite expensive in Nigeria, I plan on doing my ICAN upon graduation and then apply for exemptions in the ACCA which from my research could be used in acquiring a CPA/CGA in Canada due to the Mutual Recognition in place. Do you feel it is necessary to go through all that or I should just try to acquire accounting related experience and then apply for the EE, then maybe fortunately if I get to travel to Canada through the EE program, do the CPA itself in Canada instead? Please I need you guys help on this. Thank you

Thanks Threadstone, i appreciate your response. Please what dimension did you use for both- 50mm x 70mm or 35mm x 45mm?

I did not measure. I walked in to take the passport and they asked if it was for canada pr or us application. I mentioned canada and they snap pishure and delivered. As said in here earlier, You can use the hardcopy dimensions (ppr) for the softcopy then you may resize if you want. But i submitted just the way it was sent.

Hello All,

I just got PPR and I was told my passports should be valid for 6 months. My current passport expires in June 18th 2018 which is now less than six months.

I have an option to take the risk and send my passport or renew .

Now the question;

I am given 15 days to submit my passport, how do I ask for extension to renew my passport?

CC: cochtrane

I know this is late and you have probably taken a decision on what to do but the info can help others in your shoes.

The validity of the visa is usually the earlier of medicals taken date or the passport expiry date. CIC requires that your passport should be valid for more than 6 months at the point of application i.e. AOR. So, instead of giving you a visa that expires after 1 year of medicals taken, they would have given you a visa expiring as at the date of your passport expiration date.

I hope I wasn't too confusing.

Goodmorning house,
Please I want to enter the pool but I need some clarification with the pof.
I have a landed property which I have gotten a buyer ready to pay for it.we agreed that he waits a little while before paying. Now I want to put the cash in a fixed deposit but the period of the fixed deposit will be for 2 months.would that be acceptable as a pof?
My bank account is not healthy at all.

Kindly advise thank you.

Please go ahead, but ensure you have the documents showing former ownership, the sales agreement e.g deed of sales and transfer evidence from buyer to you to back up your POF. Good luck.

Does validity expire from the day of medical passed or date of upfront medical test?

It expires a year after the day you went for your medicals... not when you passed it.

Good day E-family

I want to ask some questions for a colleague who is worried about his past condition. When we did the calculation together, his CRS is 454 together with his spouse
The question is PCC related, his predicament goes thus:
He applied for a South African Visit Visa in 2005-2006 with his real name, his application was rejected, the first application was with his real age, He then did another passport with an increased age with different name(though were his other name and his mother maiden name as surname) and got the visa.
When he went to SA, he was convicted for fraud spent 6months in prison and deported home, When he came back 2007 he turned new leaf, went to school, took up a legit job after graduation and worked till date
He doesn't have possession of the old passports with either name
Meanwhile his finger print were taken in SA when he went to prison.
1. Would he need to get PCC from SA considering its a different name ?

2. Should he be silent about it during the application for the EE?

3 is there any stage during the EE application that he needs to send his finger print to CIC?

4. If he decide to be silent about it, would CIC know he ever live in South Africa?

Gurus, I told him all these questions are beyond my knowledge, I also a newbie just learning the rope but promised to help him ask and research, pls your contributions is needed

Thanks in anticipation.

If he’s over 29 years in age, He would not even need PCC from SA since he got back in 2007 (over 10 years already). The requirement is for countries you have visited within last 10 years or since 18th birthday, whichever is more recent.

I'm curious about "ielts writing" and I had thought to ask for a while now.

If they test says 250 words, am I to write 250 words and maybe a little spill over of say another 30 words extra OR I can write as much as I want insofar it is not below 250 words?

Is there a penalty for writing waaay above 250 words...say, like 500 words?

Thank you.

It will surely end in praise IJN!

Good morning,

The instruction only says at least 250 words. I feel like if they wanted a maximum number they would have added that too. So if someone can write 500 words in 40minutes and it makes sense I don't see any problem with it. However, I think btw 251 and 300 words should be good.

It says at least 250 words. You get penalised for writing below not above. But try to keep it past 250 and not much more than 350. Believe me,
except you just want to start writing off-point, I believe you should practice to stay within the 300 limit. Time may not even allow you to write plenty stories. The important thing is to make sense and ensure you answer the question,
provide examples and use a range of vocabulary and grammar to ensure you get good marks in each criteria. Your introduction, body and conclusion must be on point.

You need to show proof of funds either in cash or instruments (travellers cheque/ bank balance etc) at the airport . If you're using a landed property, that presupposes that you will actually sell and use the proceeds as proof of funds.
