Hello gazzuzz,
The battery of the smart key (key fob) for my Toyota highlander 2008 keeps draining. I first changed the battery after driving the car for about 2 years. Recently, after about a year, the battery was flat, i got a replacement, it drained after few days. I got another type of battery which also drained after few days
i did the same and got the same result.
I have checked online and saw that it is a common problem but i couldn't get any tangible solution.

Scrap engine is normally around 15k. You can get higher bargain up to 20k if you negotiate a running engine before removing. That way they test the engine and know what is usable and what is not. Sometimes they buy the running engine, fix the issues after hearing it run and sell to an unsuspecting customer after they make it appear like toks.

Pls my Lexus is250 is giving me an issue, my radio works fine, but anytime I accelerate or brake the volume of the car reduces by itself, once the car is in one place the volume doesn’t reduce at all, I don’t know if it’s the acceleration or braking that causes the volume to reduce but once I’m in motion wahala, it was working perfect until yesterday, I gave a mechanic to service and since yesterday it’s been this way

Ask your engine supplier to get you one. An engine seller would get you the best person so that he sells his engine. The last 3 engines i sold where bought by the seller of the engine am buying or the seller gets me a good deal.

as my oga explained to me, what you are experiencing is an effect, not the cause of the problem.

Plates will not wear prematurely unless a defective part is causing it to die out quicker than usual.

Solution is overhaul transmission (full rebuild)

Or replace with a used one.


Cost of proper rebuild plus labour will cost more than 2wice the amount of a used gearbox.

Used gear is about 45-50k.

Decision is yours.

Now about my 2001 Honda accord, had my car scanned. First had the codes cleared, after driving for a day, had it scanned again. Two codes came out: P0141 - oxygen sensor 2 and P1738.

Already googled both. First is the oxygen sensor attached to the catalyst. The second is the "2nd Clutch pressure switch" which I believe is attached to the gear.

Please, have u changed the "2nd Clutch pressure switch" before. Have an idea of the cost. Could this be the thing affecting my gear and causing high fuel consumption.

I read that bad oxygen sensor can also cause very high fuel consumption.

Mr gazuzz I have a VW passat 2005 with a v6 engine, it only moves after running the engine for at least 5mins in the morning, if I put it in drive or reverse immediately after starting it in the morning it will only rev but not move. The same thing when I close from work. My mechanic says I Should replace the gearbox, but apart from the 5min delay if it cools it drives perfectly sir. What suggestions/solutions do you have for me?
