Congrats on your admission, I assume it is 26thFebruaryl 2018 precisely. based on calculations, it is late, but apply straight away because processing times keep increasing very now and then. Recently, letting your wife stay in Naij has become evidence of GTE, some people ha wished they were married at the time of visa applicatiln so they could score that GTE points. Apply alone, if youc have kids, better. They can both join you later. However, make s,ure your application is decision ready before applying and anticipate supplying updated CoE for a later start date.
Hope this helps
Good Morning house, Please fobak203 am waiting for your response on this, or any body in the house to guide on this? "application is decision ready before applying".

Hello house
Big congrats to those offered visa recently. And to those still expecting it will surely be a positive outcome.
Going to 5 months now since residing in Melbourne, Australia via student’s visa. I must say its been challenging and as well worthwhile.
When it comes to work, it feels easy to travel hundreds of kilometers for a good paying job but difficult to travel 15mins to see a friend and hangout. Every minute counts here, you would want to make the best of it. You have to be flexible and proactive.
the weather? i say great. Spring is my best. Its summer now, the weather is like an average Nigerian’s but could go higher or lower in just few minutes. A joke says if you dont like the current weather wait 5mins..lol.
Food is good could get ample amount of nigerian foods to cook and store in fridge. Best way to save your money. If you like continental dishes too, you will find lots around but could be quiet expensive.
One thing to note. Funding studies through income from jobs you do could be the hardest thing though possible. You would need to do atleast two jobs working almost round the clock esp if you are enrolled in a high tuition uni. That could make you lose your sense of existence. Better still have 2 out of the 4 semester tuition fees ready or atlesst a semester and a half, that would not only give you a relaxing mind when you come but also give you enough time to get job and save for semesters to come. Half to one semester fee out of four might constitute you a nuisance or make you eventually change school which i think is becoming a risky step to take now.
Overall. All is welcomed. Australia is the place to be. Just plan ahead so you wont suffer too much while studying.
Ps. If you are coming in to melbourne this January, PM me, could refer you for a job opening in a warehouse. Not the best of pay.. but would contribute a great deal to helping you to start. Thanks guys. I dey go work now grin
Bro how far? Did you still take up project mgt? How is the course work in general? Have many questions to ask but don't wanna bombard you

Hello House..

I've been in Adelaide for a week now and still trying to settle down. I've gotten a place to stay for the time being close to Flinders University and I'm trying to look for a Job. Please if there's anyone currently staying here in Adelaide who has an opening somewhere around, please holla at your boy. I just need something to keep me going till school starts in Feb. We Nigerians here should try and help each other. I've tried gumtree, seek.com and indeed.com but nothing is coming forth. A helping hand would be nice at this point. Thanks in advance

Hello house,

Please what is the implication of going for a post graduate diploma instead of masters ?

I have a Bsc in Computer Science and I am looking into going for a post graduate dip in information technology and network security.

Can I use my pgd to progress to a 1 year masters degree ?

Thanks.

The days of 450k is over bruhhh. Now you have to pay around 800k and above for a flight to Australia. Unless you want to wait till like Mid-February....Stay woke
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Albion05: 11:43am On Jan 10, 2018
There is no really fixed prize or best prize for flights.
In booking flights you have to consider the airlines involved and the one you can afford.
Basically, there are things one should always have in mind when searching for prizes of flights.
1. Peak periods...... when school normally resumes academic activities and students are returning back to their various destinations including the new students that have just been newly admitted. Between Late August, the whole of September and beginning of October airlines fares are always high. Also late January and the whole of February!.

2. The airlines in question: the services, the technology and the routes these airlines ply. They are all class on their own depending on your budget.

3. Number of stop over involved.... 2, 3 or as the case may be.

4. The taxes been charged by these airlines. If you look at the break down of the prizes you will see how much you are paying for tax.

5. Always look for airlines that can accommodate your luggages. Possibly........ handy luggage 7kg, and 23x 2 or in some cases 25x2.
Because in the bid to look out for cheap airlines tickets you have to look at the "Itinerary" of the flights, that helps you in making decision.

These are factors that affects flights fares but are not limited to above mentioned factors.

You can always look out for better deals for flights fares..... with these Travel Agencies...... TripAdvisor, Cheapflights and Travelstart. There are other ones which you can check out. You can visit some of the airlines or agencies by your self and verify.

You need to have an open mind in terms of flights fares because it can go up or it can come down considering some of the factors highlighted above.

The secret is always keep on checking and monitor these agencies or airlines for better deal as their is no fixed prize for flights fares.

Find below the prizes on TripAdvisor, Cheapflights and Travelstarts for 21st of January, 2018.

Yes you can get for US$1200 https://global.cheapflights.com/flight-search/LOS-SYD/2018-02-06/ff01c8e2ad54eddef31d5b7872e1337ec

From my research during the long layover at Turkey You can get a transit visa at the airport for $40 and leave the airport to go on a tour around the city which is free and organized by Turkish Airline This is the link to know more about the tour

Thanks for the reply, but what do you mean by "application is decision ready before applying".
It means you should make sure a decision can be made by the Case officer without further request of documents to suppport your claims.
