All this tithing, first fruit, brouhaha of a thing make me understood the average IQ of Nigerian Christian This set of people (pastors) since they established themselves from the first church ,took advantage of the poverty in the nation and promise miracles of prosperity instead of salvation, and making u to pay a compulsory offering, tithe, first fruit, seed, special seed, prosperity seed, categories of donation etc as a conditions 4 harnessing ur glory and even a gateticket 4 heaven Their church branches increase by thousand per annum building mansions home and abroad, private xpensive uni on the run, series of xoensive cars ,multi billion building project here and there, series of private jets at their disposal all with the gullible hard earned money and they simply tells u to wait for a miracle of ten fold returned ,but more we go, more poverty increase, on the other hand ,the more the church pastors net worth increased Nigerian Christians (in most cases) is the most gullible, humans on earth 2 Likes |

MuttleyLaff: people still need to be taught on the importance of giving. nobody should be made to give under compulsion. teach the word to inspire and leave it there. at the same time it is error and antichrist to criticise giving. giving opens the door to receive. the mana which a man gives determine his receiving. thats what satan is trying to use the anti church ,anti MOGs anti giving movement is trying to destroy in the life of people. |
Re: Please What Is Wrong With Christianity In Nigeria by Nobody: 10:03pm On Jan 09, 2018 |
petra1:What constitutes compulsion lol. Go to the foremost Pentecostal Churches and see how many people pass the plate without dropping anything yet the Church isn't going to close the door on them. |

petra1:Then why not do just that? Why do people still need to taught using scaring tactics? petra1:Why rather than using fear tactics, is it not taught this way? petra1:At least we agree on this much Teach the word, to inspire, not to cause despair petra1:It is error to praise giving that is of any form of imposition It is antichrist to celebrate giving that is demand of which the giver has a choice of abstaining from at the expense of a curse, threat or misfortune petra1:Some giving are redundant, have gone past their "Use-by" date and have fallen off the rungs of giving hierarchy ladder petra1:When one has arrived at the Promised Land, one ceases to eat manna In local parlance: "Tabati gbọse da, a maa nfi igbẹ lẹ fun agbepo ni. MuttleyLaff: Deal with the so called tactics that's if you think you're right but don't try to destroy institution. God will hold you for that . what we see here is general condemnation of giving . Portrayal of a satanic ideology that what christians give is to pastor and not to God. also portrayal of the idea that people give to lose and not to receive . its satanic. Satan tries to desecrate the sacredness of giving which is spiritual oblation. it is wrong to sow such evil idea to christians. It's God that sees the motive and sincerity of every man's heart . That's why he says not to judge . At least we agree on this much everyone communicate differently according to understanding of scripture. the word is clear enough. "NOT BY COMPULSION' we cannot destroy entirety of institution because of the communication of a preacher. someone preach salvation to share Gods love another preach it to warn of Hell . why destroy the ministry of preaching because of the two different way of communication? what we see from fellow believer heroes just that. they violate every word based Gospel principle. Philippians 1:15-18 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached Did Paul have to condemn evangelism because some preached with wrong motive ? You don't destroy institution because of your perception of another ,. Dont try to give Satan more credit than Satan deserves Don't be ignorant of the word of the enemy . He uses Gods own people Voluntary giving has no inducement, no baits, no carrots, no fear tactics Jesus and Paul should be guilty then if your guilt and carrot principle Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. 2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Nothing' is |

petra1:What we see here is the general lack of will to preach and teach voluntary giving petra1:What is satanic is sidestepping, over stepping and overlooking the poor and needy, instead giving to already rich people It is wrong to sow ideas to believers that if you dont comply ecclesiastical monitised tithe tax giving, financial misfortune shall befall them petra1:Why dont we use Oshogbo as a faith test case? Teach for about three months, on the principle of giving, bar ecclesiastical monitised tithe tax giving Teach on caring response to need giving and see how the reliance on ecclesiastical monitised tithe tax giving, will turn out to have all along been a false idea and/or belief Further see how Yahweh Jirer will provide from voluntary giving Voluntary giving has no inducement, no baits, no carrots, no fear tactics It simply is, decide in your heart what really excites you to give Don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure You shouldn't be sorry that you gave or feel forced to give What good are wings without the courage to fly Petra1 do you think Oshogbo can go wrong, with this leap of faith? MuttleyLaff:Why judging others concerning the poor. Is it not voluntary? Hope you can see the anti church sentiment instead giving to already rich people Who are these rich people ? You don't supplant one giving for the other . We do all . Giving to the poor . Giving to a God . Giving to parents etc . Judas was rebuked for it . It is wrong to sow ideas to believers that if you dont comply ecclesiastical monitised tithe tax giving, financial misfortune shall befall them I don't know if anyone use such extreme language . There is blessing for different giving . Tithes offering ,alms ,parents ,MOG. fellow brethren Etc . If you don't give for a particular one . You miss the blessing that goes with it. For example if you want to live long . Take care of parents. It's a principle Ephesians 6:2-3 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. If a man doesn't honour his parents . And a pastor teaches the consequences. What do you say ? He's manipulating them? Life Is based on cause and effect sowing and reaping principle . We just don't want to hear the truth. It covers very things from givingbto living righteously even to prayer . Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. . . . Why is it when it comes to giving that use extreme language such as coerce . All over scriptures warmings were given . You mat call it coercion but that's the word of God Galatians 6:7-8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption Proverbs 21:13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard. It's all over scripture . But men seem to be clouded with the anti church ,MOG sentiment . There is no stick in Luke 6:38 and 2 Corinthians 9:6 Are you a teacher in Israel and you don't know these things? Jesus said if you give , God will cause men to give to you. Is that not carrot ? If you reverse it you get the stick ! Men won't give. Same thing with Paul he said if you "SPARE" in giving . Those who would give to you also will spare . 2 Corinthians 9:6 (AMPC) [Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. 2 Corinthians 9:6 (TLB) But remember this--if you give little, you will get little. A farmer who plants just a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much. Isn't that carrot and stick ? |
