It really looks like pictures taken with expensive cameras and it works with most phones. I tried it on redmi note 4 and my mi 5s plus, its the bomb the attached picture is one of the samples from the redmi note 4 photography group on telegram taken on a redmi note 4.

Yea, you can flash the camera2api with twrp, use camera2api enabler magisk module or the build.prop edit method.

it's not hard if u are rooted. With root and redwolf recovery self u can still get software updates so it's like enjoying best of both worlds.
