Oga there is nothing to flaw or argue with freeze. If you are looking for men's wisdom or philosophy to back up your Christianity, then you really don't understand what Christianity is about. Apostle Paul wrote and said "for we came not to you with enticing words of man's wisdom......". Christianity is based on faith and obedience to God. Paying of tithes and giving offerings alone will not make you rich. I pay tithes and give offerings, but I am not under any illusion that they are the ONLY keys to prosperity. You cannot prosper without producing something or rendering a service. It is what you do that God would bless to make you prosper the more. I pay tithes because God commanded it in Malachi 3. Even if there is no prosperity in it for me, I will still pay tithes as long as God commanded us to do so in his word.

Remember it was also Jesus who said "give and it shall be given unto you, good measure pressed down shaken together and overflowing shall men give back unto you...." If Jesus believes that we can be rewarded with more prosperity when we give, then who am I to say it's not true??

well said...most people especially the unbelievers approach the bible prior to the words seen and not their spiritual meaning. I remember somewhere in the bible where Jesus said “i shall destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days" but still yet, the pharisees and others didn't understand the spiritual meaning of what he said.

Education and or status in the society is not an assurance of overall knowledge. Reno is an intelligent man and mere mortal but not in the things of God. Apostle was actually a tent maker, he even though was a Lawyer, chose to make tents because he doesn't want the profession to become an obstacle to his ministry and he doesn't want to become a burden to other people, he even worked as a tent maker alongside Aquila and his wife Priscilla. Pastors don't get paid for preaching the good news, if he is being paid, the he is not a pastor but a peddler of God's word.

Why is it that it's only when it comes to religion that we don't make use of our brain? For instance, u want to cross the road, your brain tells u that there's an incoming car, u stop. U want to drink, u see dirt inside u don't drink again. We make use of our brain always and it works, so why shouldn't we use it to understand religion. Doesn't it give u a warning sign that there's something wrong?
Walking on water? Getting money out of the mouth of a fish? All these unverified stories in no way helped humanity, Thomas Edison, Michael Faraday etc has better, verified and helpful stories. We would stop building churches when all the existing churches can contain all 180 million Nigerians, till then we continue...

Whose fault is it that the country is poor? Did the Church choose your president? Did the Church assemble the Economic advisory board? Is national asset used in funding church operations? How is church a burden to our economy?
