Dear Fellow Nairaland,
Please help a brother, i bought a toyota camry 2001 model, and i noticed that the engine jerk when ever i try to engage the gear to drive, the engine also jerk when ever i engaged it to reversed, the jerking is intense such that the complete car jerk as well.
you can observed the engine practically jerking forward and return as i tried the engaged the gear to drive or reverse, please advise what is the solution and what is causing this jerking.

Change ur Engine Sitting

have changed the engine sitting and the jerking continues

Tell your mechanic to check the engine seating for you
Probably coil and plug or clogged nusles could be the possible course

Tell him to check the camshaft sensor as well
That one can only be check by hooking up diagnosis tool
If you live near ikeja agidingbi side i can do that for you freely

I totally agree with you I handle similar scenerio for a customer few days ago.the camshaft sensor was the problem revealed by machine though.
