Please i need a clarification. Do i need assessment for both BSc and MBA. will i earn points separately. or the points for MBA covers for the BSc ?

For people already in the pool with the old POF rate, is it better to update the profile to the new POF figure or just leave it at that? I hope it doesn't affect ITA

Its advisable to only evaluate the highest qualification if its just BSc and Msc/MBA. If you evaluate the two you will only get point for one certificate.

Evaluate either your OND+HND or BSc+OND or BSc+HND. Any of those combinations will give you the needed “2 or more degrees“ points.
Thanks a lot. I will do as advised.

I'm to apply for ECA via MCC.Please is there any medical doctors here who have done this? How did you go about paying to physiciansapply using credit card? How to get a credit card to use is a problem. How do you do this? Someone was telling me I can only pay by using a credit card from someone in the US or Canada. Is this true? Are there other options? Thanks.
And may God bless the creators of this thread.

Good afternoon my people. Biko if someone decides to print 9 months statement of account, will CIC frown at it? Or must it be 6 months only? And for an account where I want to show the source of Tbills investment, must I print 6-month statement or maybe 1-3 months showing the debit for the investment? Thanks

U can definately use ur naira debit card or a dollar debit card from a NIgerian bank. GTB naira debit card has a $1000 pos atm limit so u can use it.

I started writing this in faith on 22 Aug. 17 when my application was just 21 days cos I wanted to highlight the grey areas in my application. Plus, I didn’t want to forget anything when the joy and excitement of PPR set in.
1) Date of Birth discrepancy on Transcript and WES – I got an Affidavit to explain that the discrepancy was an error from the University and that my correct date of Birth was clearly stated on my Birth certificate and Int’l passport which I attached.
2) Various names used on my documents i.e. maiden name vs married name – I had done a newspaper change of name after marriage but I never got around to changing the name on my int’l passport because the process was longer when I got married. I got a one and the same Person affidavit to clearly state that the both names should be considered as variations of my name and not name changes.
3) My passport is in my maiden name and had exactly 6 months validity at the point of submitting my application. I applied for a new one (still in my maiden name Cos I didn’t want any delay) and uploaded to CIC via a CSE
4) Details entered for Education and Work History for my spouse before ITA were moved to Personal History post ITA – I moved it cos I didn’t do ECA for my spouse plus we didn’t bother to get a reference letter from his employers. I included in my letter of explanation that the required documents were not available currently
5) Proof of funds was in a joint account – I attached a letter of consent from my spouse
6) Birthday occurred between ITA and AOR. This should have taken my CRS score below the minimum score for the round i got ITA for. However, It didn't affect our application, I guess they applied the exemption policy here
7)Asides from my Letter of explanation, I Included a cover letter for the various sections I felt needed some explanation and also to make it tidy e.g. proof of funds, work experience, education (cause of 2 above) etc.

Finally, I would like to say that no two applications are the same. What applies for one may not apply for the next person. Feel free to ask me questions I will answer to the best of my knowledge

Hello all,

I did my Postgraduate Diploma part-time (Friday noons and Saturdays) while working full-time.

Can I get points using this work experience or it's not acceptable by CIC? If yes, what documents do I need to convice CIC my programme was indeed part-time? My ECA from WES doesn't mention full-time or part-time.

Thanks.

Congratulations to all ITA recipients.

This one we've now had back-to-back 446 draws sha. It is well

I believe it is because of the three week period. I believe it will drop in a two week period. Somehow, I am still hopeful for three draws in January. That will mean a back to back draw and will drop CRS. Prayer is that they also increase the number of people they invite and stop this their bad behaviour of only 2750 people.

Some of us need those draws to drop like lead mehn...

Algbenguze:
These CIC people are beginning to vex me. They must be smoking something. So they make us wait 3 weeks only to still invite just 2750 people again even when they have higher targeted for 2018. It’s like this talk of CIC being unpredictable is getting into their head. Na by force to be unpredictable? SMH.
It’s a little annoying though when some of us don nearly drown finish inside pool waiting for life jacket (ITA); whereas some others just enter pool and catch ITA same day even before their cloth wet. Issokay!
Anyway, Congrats to all ITA recipients; and please, I’m not beefing o. Safe journey from here on!

Bro, cool down. It will change and the draws will drop. They just want you to develop patience ni. Check James 1: 2-4. Lol. We plenty wey dey wait for the drop.

Whats the hope for CRS score of 424 with this high ITA scores?

There is hope. But you have to develop patience. A lot of it. Check out ways you can improve your scores. If you have maxed out your scores, check PNP routes. If that is too expensive or you don't like the idea, sit still and wait.

We will be able to know more with subsequent draws being done. Factors that can help include
1. Increase in number of people being invited
2. Regular draws being done (every two weeks) or even fast track (one week interval)
3. Low number of people joining the pool with "high" scores

So like Abraham, let us keep hoping against hope that the scores will drop

Remember that time your parents asked you to study Medicine, Pharmacy or Law? Ehen, this is the price of that disobedience grin grin. You for don wear life jacket before you enter the pool sef.
On a more serious note, I think the scores would likely drop towards the end of the first quarter. Something tells me so. Anyhow sha, the scores suppose reach that kind 420 or less this year. Somebody shout hallelujah

Hallelujah, I join my faith with yours o. That would be a welcome development

Congratulations to all those who just received ITA. PPR and COPR. Wonderful new year presents. May it all end with praise
