This is correct. Average cutoff for the 1st half of 2017 was 417.

Who knows their strategy towards meeting the higher 2018 target? Keep the faith!

lovetree:
Just to encourage people still in the pool (still in the pool as well)....crs score for Jan 2017 was also high and it started dropping around April or so....so I'm positive it may follow that trend....Just be hopeful and keep praying.
Our desires wont be dashed.
Congrats to those who received ITA and PPR

Good afternoon my people. Biko if someone decides to print 9 months statement of account, will CIC frown at it? Or must it be 6 months only? And for an account where I want to show the source of Tbills investment, must I print 6-month statement or maybe 1-3 months showing the debit for the investment? Thanks

Are you sure you really need the source of your T-Bills investment? I submitted T-Bills Certificate, reference letter (standard Nigerian Bank format) and letter of non-indebtedness. No statement of account.

Plz guys, should I modify the POF figure or my EE profile to reflect the newly increased CIC POF figures since it was created before the increase? Will it affect the eligibility of the profile? Please guys, I need some answers. Thanks

I'm to apply for ECA via MCC.Please is there any medical doctors here who have done this? How did you go about paying to physiciansapply using credit card? How to get a credit card to use is a problem. How do you do this? Someone was telling me I can only pay by using a credit card from someone in the US or Canada. Is this true? Are there other options? Thanks.

Open a domiciliary account with GTB and get their dollar master card. Fund the card and pay with it

Don't know jare. Just that if they do 6month average balance on my account on the reference letter, it wont show much cos I always reinvest in Tbills once the previous matures, the funds never gets to the end of the month.
So end of month acct balance never amounts to much. I was thinking adding statement would help.

Hello @Kontagious, I remember you posted a while ago that you submitted Tbills and 6months SOA. Did you also add bank reference letter or did the other 2 suffice for you? I am asking cos my funds are in 3 Tbills and in some mutual funds. Do I need to submit reference letter? My 6months average balance won't show much cos my savings are always in Tbills or some other investment.
I am thinking of adding 9months statement cos the last time i booked 2 out of the 3 tbills was almost 9months ago. If I do 6months SOA, it might not show the debit. The 3rd one was booked this month, I intend adding 3 months SOA for this one. I don't want a bulky upload, so I am thinking of how not to include too many docs. I already have to add reference letter for the mutual funds & hubby consent letter to use his own mutual funds. Or can I add only the Tbills certs and reference letter, and then my mutual funds letter? I no wan make mistake abeg.

Anyone else with advise can chip in please. Thanks.

Update it.

"Updates to fund requirements: We update the proof of funds numbers every year based on 50 per cent of the low income cut-off totals. The changes are small but there is a chance it could affect your eligibility. Be sure to check the new numbers to your own once they’re posted". Keep your funds up-to-date in your profile. Bolded not true.
You can use your debit card just choose credit card and put in your debit card details as long as its adequately funded you won't have any problem

There is hope. But you have to develop patience. A lot of it. Check out ways you can improve your scores. If you have maxed out your scores, check PNP routes. If that is too expensive or you don't like the idea, sit still and wait.

We will be able to know more with subsequent draws being done. Factors that can help include
1. Increase in number of people being invited
2. Regular draws being done (every two weeks) or even fast track (one week interval)
3. Low number of people joining the pool with "high" scores

So like Abraham, let us keep hoping against hope that the scores will drop

Thank you. I have to wait like four months to evaluate the M.SC when it is out so that CRS score will be 459.

Hello good people.

A friend got ITA and has gathered his documents. He just got married and wants to land canny with his lovely wife. He wants to update his EE profile and include his wife, but the challenge here is the wife's int'l passport is still bearing her father's name. What are the best possible ways to walk through it?

Thank you.

@newmum0615, am sorry to ask you question on your questions.

The reference letter you got for your mutual fund, what and what was stated on it? Was there any statement showing inflow and outflow or it's just your total balance as at date.

I wish you speedy PPR.

Thanks

Good day house, a quick question.
I forgot to edit the amount in my profile from $19,000 to $19,092cad. Do I need to raise a CSE, my AOR was yesterday. What do I do? Thanks

Ok. My bank didn’t issue the reference letter in CIC format, it was the standard reference so didn’t have average account balance.

I started writing this in faith on 22 Aug. 17 when my application was just 21 days cos I wanted to highlight the grey areas in my application. Plus, I didn’t want to forget anything when the joy and excitement of PPR set in.
1) Date of Birth discrepancy on Transcript and WES – I got an Affidavit to explain that the discrepancy was an error from the University and that my correct date of Birth was clearly stated on my Birth certificate and Int’l passport which I attached.
2) Various names used on my documents i.e. maiden name vs married name – I had done a newspaper change of name after marriage but I never got around to changing the name on my int’l passport because the process was longer when I got married. I got a one and the same Person affidavit to clearly state that the both names should be considered as variations of my name and not name changes.
3) My passport is in my maiden name and had exactly 6 months validity at the point of submitting my application. I applied for a new one (still in my maiden name Cos I didn’t want any delay) and uploaded to CIC via a CSE
4) Details entered for Education and Work History for my spouse before ITA were moved to Personal History post ITA – I moved it cos I didn’t do ECA for my spouse plus we didn’t bother to get a reference letter from his employers. I included in my letter of explanation that the required documents were not available currently
5) Proof of funds was in a joint account – I attached a letter of consent from my spouse
6) Birthday occurred between ITA and AOR. This should have taken my CRS score below the minimum score for the round i got ITA for. However, It didn't affect our application, I guess they applied the exemption policy here
7)Asides from my Letter of explanation, I Included a cover letter for the various sections I felt needed some explanation and also to make it tidy e.g. proof of funds, work experience, education (cause of 2 above) etc.

Finally, I would like to say that no two applications are the same. What applies for one may not apply for the next person. Feel free to ask me questions I will answer to the best of my knowledge

Am having similar case of date of birth issue and the year gap is about 2yrs. Am considering using IQAS since the evaluation report does not carry DOB. Please what's your advice
