Rates might not likely go up to the 18% and above days anymore since govt has cut domestic borrowings.

Good evening to you all...

I am a 22years Nigeria old lady who live and studied in Uk ...I have about 6m I want to put in investment for like 4years,,what type of risk free investment can you advise me to go into ?? Thanks in advance sir/ma

I'm I the only one seeing this as a classic 419 post?

* unnecessary personal information
* 'live and studied' in UK but grammatical errors in post.
* can such extreme naivete and N6 million coexist?
* wife material, very polite sir and ma for everybody lol.

@goodness29 in the 1% chance you're genuine, no vex sha. Carry your money to the thread on bonds they will have better advise for a 4-year investment.

many thanks sir, please again, is this equity mutual funds samething as the usual MMF?

They’re both mutual funds. However, MMF is a low-risk investment, while ETF is a high-risk investment.
There’s an in-betweener medium-risk investment that balances the two ends of the spectrum tho. You can enquire from your investment relationship manager, and make an informed decision.

Many thanks. However, I don't do investment relationship managers at all. I do a research and due diligence on any investment before throwing in my money.
I cannot allow anyone to feed fat on my funds.

Understood! I actually meant you enquire from them about the structure of funds their firm offers, not for investment advice.
Like who takes the advice of relationship managers that almost always scream bias?!!

Goodness, as you mentioned, risk free investment, the only one that I know which can still give you between 8 and 15% depending on variations but very surely and at almost 0 risk is Treasury bills, FGN bonds and mutual funds. Personally take time to study them. Nairaland has done justice to whatever you need to know so just look for the necessary forum and study, you can then ask questions.

Please note, many people will post several stuffs to convince you but many are high risk, don't allow greed to push you to loose your hard earned money. My simple advice

Many thanks sir ...I really appreciate your advice,,I will take my time to study more

Invest half in Treasury Bills, get a good asset management company and invest N3 million in an equity mutual fund.
Most equity mutual funds gave a return of 40% or more in 2017.

Many thanks sir ....I really appreciate your advice sir ...I will look into the treasury bills and the most equity mutual funds ...thank you once again sir

I know that many people finish novels in one week or even less especially if it's an interesting one like this thread

I am very sure that by the time you finish, you will not need to ask questions again except maybe few ones to clarify cretain things-I started that way and i have every reason to be very very grateful to God. You will be so informed that you would not need anyone to advice you on where to invest your money with almost zero % risk if you are not greedy.[/quote

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by amjustme2: 6:27am On Jan 12, 2018
These name callings, abuses and evil prayers is totally unnecessary and does not have a place here.

Until now, this thread have earned a 'No BS' reputation on Nairaland. Let's not ruin it because of N6M post.

If you have good advice offer, if you don't, read and pass.

This is Treasury Bill thread. It's completely irresponsible to start talking rubbish here.
