The reason why Nigeria isn't developed is not because of how many people go to church or mosque. It is because Nigeria's economy is heavily dependent on revenue from exporting raw materials...and on importing stuff.

That is what we inherited from the British, right from the time we exported slaves in exchange for weapons, alcohol, etc, then palm oil , cocoa in exchange for industrial goods....to the point that we have become so dependent on imported rice, imported biscuit, imported ceramics, etc...which we can produce at home.

Daddy Freeze, why don't you set up your own factory? Why must it be the Church? And even some chur have set up factories and employed hundreds of Nigerians.

Even RCCG...has set up many employment generating agencies...like universities.

And what is all this talk about free education? Yes...the church should sponsor education for indigent students....but let's be frank, education is expensive.And the church does help indigent students too....

Look.....if you want to start blaming unemployment, and lack of factories on churches...look at youself first. Do you buy made in Nigeria stuff? Or you buy imported?

Daddy Freeze, I appreciate your critiques.As a evangelical Christian, the church has not done Nigeria well enough. But China, UAE, etc got to where they are not because of, or the absence of religion, but because they promoted policies that did not let them rely on importation. Chew on that.

OAP Freeze never left any stone un-turned when it comes to the way he feels about Nigerian pastors and RCCG church is indeed the one dearest to his heart. He never hesitate on any opportunity he has to throw tantrums against the church and its pastors, owning to the fact that they are the No. 1 in tithes and misleading of the "sheeples".

In a post he shared on Instagram, Daddy Freeze requested that RCCG should remove him from their mailing list as they send him the prayer point for the "Day 2" of their 50 days fasten and prayer continues.

He also advised the church to teach their members how to work hard and make money rather than telling them they can pray their way to wealth.

The time we spend hunting for miracles, we should rather use that time to make our country a better place. People need tinknow that things don't happen magically. Even the bible noted that faith without works is dead, its a combination of a faith as small as a mustard seed and a whole lot of work. While you are busy praying to get a car magically, do you know the average citizen in the west and far east are sweating it out in a factory somewhere? People are in labs doing active research on how to improve, guys are working in the harsh winter weather developing apps, the IT personnel are busy developing intelligent computers, while you have already spend 50 days out of the lil time you have hunting for miracles. Prayer is powerful but more work is better!

Again.....countries that are super developed are that way because they promote policies that encourage dependence on exporting manufactured goods.

Nigeria is not developed because we prefer to discourage local industries in favour of importing stuff..not because of religion or its abscence.

What encourages the deceit is the abundance of raw material in this country....which fools us into thinking that we can make billions from selling them, and importing stuff.

Change that mindset....and we will develop well well.

Assigment....point out any pastor that forbade his members from developing a factory!

I thought Jesus said you should pray for your enemies and love your enemies? In fact, he mentioned it as one of the most important commandments.
That being said, read his words and reflect on it, check where he is wrong and where he is right and take corrections. Even Paul criticised many fellow apostles even peter, the rock on which the church was built.

Yes, I was once in an RCCG church in Europe and I left in shame. They still cater to people with some kind of mentality, 101% Africans. People were giving testimonies about how they got asylum through devious means, how they didn't merit their papers but by passed the system. Pastors were enticing the people to come to the church with promise of arranging illegal marriages. You won't see a single white soul in the church, most of those churches still cater to Nigerians and may be some Africans. Still same ole same ole. Don't learn from working countries... Just stay there, your miracle is on the way....

Prayer is very important. We can't do away with it.

The problem is that we have not learnt the balance between faith and works.

We pray all the time and even when we should act, we keep on praying. God ain't gonna do anything unless we move.

After you have prayed, take a step and if need be, pray along the way too until you accomplish your objective.
