Today the Myth of White superiority is greatly perpetuated by the illusion that whites are primarily responsible for most technological advancements that we now enjoy. The technological industry is designed to perpetuate the myth of white intellectual superiority even when the technology is coming from the genius minds of Black people. For black inventors to get their invented technologies mass produced and marketed, they have to go before white companies. These white companies then acquires the rights to these inventions, and then places white faces in front of the technology. This scenario literally allows whites to continue exploiting the intellectual genius of Black people while maintaining the appearance that all technological advancement are the result of white intellectual superiority. However, the reality is that despite cultural traumas wrought by the injustice of racism and slavery, Black people have made significant contributions to society and, indeed, to the world through advances in technology, medicine, science, arts, and the humanities. The following is an incomplete list of some astounding contributions made by Black people:

Dr. Thomas O. Mensah is a Ghanaian born chemical engineer and inventor. Is the inventor of fiber optics and nanotechnology. He was awarded 7 USA and worldwide patents in fiber optics. In all, he has some 14 patents.

Dr. Mark Dean, the Black Inventor/Computer scientist and engineer responsible for developing a number of landmark technologies, including the modern color PC monitor, the Industry Standard in 1981. In 1999, Dean also led a team of programmers to develop one of the stepping stones of modern day computer technology— the first gigahertz chip. The CMOS microprocessor chip is remarkable because it processed a billion calculations and large amounts of data in a second. Dean hold 20 individual patents.

Philip Emeagwali, a Nigerian computer scientist, is regarded by many as being the father of the Internet. He invented the super computer in 1987. It was his formula that used 65,000 separate computer processors to perform 3.1 billion calculations per second in 1989. That feat led to computer scientists comprehending the capabilities of supercomputers and the practical applications of creating a system that allowed multiple computers to communicate. Philip Emeagwali also invented the accurate weather forecasting system in 1990. He also used his mathematical and computer expertise to develop methods for extracting more petroleum from oil fields.

Jesse Eugene Russell is African American inventor and electrical engineer. He invented digital cellular technology. He pioneered the field of digital cellular communication in the 1980s through the use of high power linear amplification and low bit rate voice encoding technologies and received a patent in 1992 (US patent #5,084,869) for digital cellular base station design. Jesse Russell holds several patents and is a key person to the invention of the modern cell phone.

I think it's the mentality. It's not that we aren't as intelligent as the whites- we just don't believe in ourselves as creators, we believe in being the best servants.


The same phenomena is to be observed among the Indians; they have so many graduates of what we refer to as good courses- medicine, engineering, computer science e.t.c but one still wonders why their economy is much worse than China where every one studies to become a business man.

Many of our graduates go to school with the thought of becoming employed and serving someone while most whites are encouraged to dream and a child from such environment goes to school with the intention of learning more to achieve his/her dreams.

We celebrate mediocrity and showoffs and we live life like it's going to end in a minute.

I once watched a movie set in a time of war and slavery still existed. A white man had come along a couple of blacks running away from the war. Can you believe that there had been a man among them with a big overturned four-ended iron rod, with spikes at each end to pierce his skin in the case he attempted removing it and neither him nor his fellow blacks had seems it as a priority to take off his neck. The white man comes along and upon noticing the inconvenience the man was experiencing, he proceeds to help him figure out how to take off the rod the next day.

Why didn't his fellow blacks think of it as the priority rather than eating and sleeping in pains? Why would anyone spend a million naira on a wedding and yet not have running water in his/her house?

I agree with you on every point except these ones.

We also need to stop believing we are intellectually inferior to whites. A child gets told several times that he is stupid and after several failures, he starts to believe it to be true even though he could have achieved the same dream even with the same amount of failures provided he had good motivation.

We need to start believe we can and that we would achieve the same feats and even bigger ones than the whites have.

White men love their women how they are, we also need to start loving and encouraging our women to be more productive.

Their men love their women as flatchested as most of them are , the main attraction is the intellectual capability. On the other hand, our men love based on what they see and a few black women may have had to appear a little less nerdy so they can get attention of men.

We just have to change our mentality and encourage our women to set goals and dreams for themselves to achieve not minding whether or not they aren't the main provider for the family.

Oh, it is relevant. Because at the time of the rennaisance, Asian lived in bamboo houses as Africans. Some parts of Asia were also colonised by the British and Dutch but today, their economy is fairing pretty better than ours.

Were it not for the fact that iq tests became popular in China, we probably would have continued believing Europeans were the ones with the highest iq.

I believe someday we are going to discover some genius among us Africans too , that is when we also start making use of technology .

bro, read my original post which you quoted first. Your last paragraph is a paraphrase of that. I define intellect as not having a good brain, but using a good brain. From this it's obvious that blacks are intellectually inferior NOW.

I even used an asian country to illustrate my point, which is that any observed intellectual superiority amongst races is a result of differences in effort. Let us first accept the problem and then find a solution, as opposed to denying that a problem exists.
