I got admitted recently into a university, and av resumed lectures but my problem is that I fail to understand all I read or study and even if I understand a little it evaporates in no time

Row with brilliant students or you form a group study.


Buy testbook and other materials or you download related topics online with examples for easy understanding.




Bear it in mind that you are representing your family. So you have to work hard.




Avoid girlfriend for now as a fresher cus you have a lot to do, girlfriend shouldn't be among your needs as a fresher.



Attend tutorials for easy understanding.


And finally pray to God for success,good grades and not to have missing script

2. Guard your thoughts to be focused during lectures and while reading....work against distraction of minds with great seriousness and attentiveness

3. When u r taught a topic ..don't procrastinate....read and review

4. Make sure you make other research about a topic u are being taught from different
Website's and textbooks.... To get more ideas and facts.....d more u do d more ur brain gets familiar with d desired topic.....

5.Don't be excessively active.jovial....social.. or playful ..be moderately reserved a bit when u are in academic environment

Push away all thought especially negative thoughts when you are reading, then read a particular sentence two to three times if you don't understand.

Peak! It's in YOU!!! All you need and all you were is still inside. All you should focus on now is to build a positive energy and allow yourself grow out of your present fear of failure. When I was in 100L I suddenly found out after a while that I was forgesimple trigonometric stuff. I felt devastated but gave myself a break for about some days. It was like a miracle, I was back like a reset. God won't let you down if you continue to tell yourself who you are. May God help you

Read over and over again.... Reading a book three times before exam is not bad.

I read one of your replies that you are studying Economics. I will like to let you know that I recently graduated with a first class degree in Economics, so you might want to listen to me or probably follow my instructions.

I am not an expert on education matters, however I have written numerous articles on education that could help you and some other people on this thread succeed.

Secondary education is distinct from tertiary education. Some of the methods you used in studying in secondary school might not help you in the university. You don't just study. There are ways you read and assimilate faster.

Are you comfortable with mathematics? If you are not, it is better you start learning to be comfortable with it because it is a necessary evil in Economics.
