24 - Tyronne Ebuehi completed more dribbles than any other @ADODenHaag player this season, while only three Eredivisie defenders had more. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Ebuehi is going through medicals at Benfica according to some reports. I hope, it is a wise move. World cup year, we need him playing regularly. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Michael Bailey BREAKING | Full-back Tyronne Ebuehi has joined Benfica, with a loan back to Dan Haag. Norwich City's interest was as strong as you can get - but a bit tricky when you're competing with a club like Benfica. #ncfc #otbc 4 Likes 1 Share |

Hopefully we will have more MFMs, UBAH etc in the NPFL in the next 5-10 years. Once we have more private owners in the league, things will get more professional just as we have it in the banking and telecommunications sector BascoVanVeli: 1 Like |

joseph1013: Good news for him with caution. These are Portuguese clubs, I wonder what the transfer fee is that will give us an idea what value has been placed on him and the level of opportunity he will get. He should have waited till after the World cup possibly if he has a great World cup then his value could go right up. On the other hand he could have a poor one and value goes down. The club is irrelevant it's the opportunity to play and progress. Better to be first team choice at a lower club than a bench warmer in a top club. |

joseph1013: I love the idea of a loan back.. He can continue with his work at ADO and start work with Benfica at Pre-season. He can then fight for a right back spot. |

Yusuf, Ezenwa: Home Eagles Ready For CHAN, Cold Weather Can’t Stop Us By James Agberebi: Home-based Super coach Salisu Yusuf and skipper of the team Ikechukwu Ezenwa have both expressed confidence they will not disappoint at this year’s Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports. The Eagles will kick off their campaign at this year’s edition against Rwanda in Group C on Monday in Tangier. They are also drawn against Libya and Equatorial Guinea. Speaking in a press conference ahead of the clash against Rwanda, Yusuf however stated that they will treat Rwanda and other teams with respect. “We respect all the teams present in this tournament,” Yusuf said. “You have to be very careful with all the teams. All teams have equal chances in this tournament. We do not have a specific goal. We will tackle the games as and when they come. We will play well to reach the next round, and see what happens after that. We will put in our all to do better than in previous editions. We are prepared for that.” On his part, Ezenwa admitted that the Eagles are in a tough group but they will do everything possible not to disappoint. “First of all, there are weather conditions that are completely different from Nigeria. Here (Tangiers) it is very cold, but we have been able to adapt during the first four days of our stay here. The Rwanda match will be difficult, but we are here to achieve a good result. We have already forgotten our disappointment in 2016. It is now in the past, even if it allowed us to learn. We are in a difficult group but will try to give a good impression. https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/yusuf-ezenwa-home-eagles-ready-chan-cold-weather-cant-stop-us/ |

Akanji Shuns Manchester United To Sign €21.5m Deal With Borussia Dortmund Switzerland international defender Manuel Obafemi Akanji has signed a four and half year contract worth about €21.5 million with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund. The 22-year old was a reported transfer target for Manchester United but Dortmund made him their first signing of the January transfer window and he’s contracted until June 2022. The player, of Nigerian parentage, was in Dortmund on Sunday to witness the club’s goalless draw with Wolfsburg and a day later put pen to paper on his contract. “With his performances, Manuel appeared on the radar of several European top clubs,” Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said on the club’s official website. “We are delighted that he opted to join us. “He’s shown for his national team and in Champions League that he can play at the highest European level. At the same time, we believe he’s a defender with still a lot of potential for development.” He said: “I felt good in the talks with the BVB hierarchy. And thus, my heart decided. I have always liked the football played by Dortmund. I am looking forward to my time here, and will give it my all.” The four-cap Swiss International who impressed during Basel’s Champions League campaign this season is expected to help bolster Dortmund’s leaky defence which shipped 22 goals in just 10 league games until the winter break. https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/akanji-shuns-manchester-united-sign-e21-5m-deal-borussia-dortmund/ |

tbaba1234: If he is a quality player, it's a great position to be in that means he is free agent. All the money comes bto him it makes him even cheaper and more attractive to clubs. As a free agent I expect him to be on a minimum of £15-25k a week. It's the situation Arsenal find themselves with Sanchez a player who would be upwards of £35 million can leave for nothing. Defoe is on £100k plus ➕ why he was a free agent when he left Sunderland. Years ago JJay came to Bolton as a free agent from PSG. Again no expensive transfer fees. If he has a storming World cup then his rating and therefore value will rise astronomically. |
