nezzar:wee u keep shut! One scummy was even posting stats comparing Pogba with De Bruyne. While De Bruyne was pulling strings against teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, Yawnited, Spurs and Chelsea, we should fry custard cos 90M Pogba made assists against Relegation bound Stoke. Later y’all will be shouting big club upandan. is this what ur so called mates are celebrating? Mediocrity at its peak. Spits on thread. |

Leyqute:You just can't write him off, he is not Rooney. You can't choose to focus on the negative aspect (age) while completely ignoring his footballing talent. Giggs played into his late 30's, Ronaldo won the Ballon D'Or at 32, Lampard, Xavier and so many others have played at the top level until about 34-35 years, so Sanchez should be given the benefit of the doubt. |

kokaneprodigy: When Mikitaryan or any half descent player refuses to go to Arsenal so we can take your best players as usual, you know you are a disgrace of a club. Please just find anybody to replace Sanchez with so we can collect our man.. Go to Japan, there's one Inaumukoro Takinashi Waiting to replace Sanchez. He won't cost upto £200k and Assnal makes more than 30 million + profit. |

patrickmuf: We got Ibrahimovic for free. How much is Sanchez commanding? How many 29 year-old forward signings continued to play at the same intensity for years in their new clubs? |

Leyqute:Robben is still Bayern's best player, Suarez is still firing, Ibra until his injury was still scoring. At the current market where a relative unknown, Malcolm is priced at 40m, Auba at 70m etc The total page for Sanchez believed to be around 103m sounds like a steal to me. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MoR2(m): 8:10am On Jan 16, 2018 |
Leyqute:top players like sanchez can keep it steady for the next 4 years. some forwards experience their best years in their 30s |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nezzar: 8:12am On Jan 16, 2018 |
MoR2:lol, It's quite unfortunate Schurrle, Renato sanches and Xherdan Shaqiri ain't lucky |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 8:25am On Jan 16, 2018 |
patrickmuf: Robben joined Bayern aged 25. Suarez joined Barca aged 27. These examples don't fit the description. How many years did Bastian give us after joining aged 31? Ibra is the only person you can argue who joined a team at the top at that age and gave years of good performances. He joined PSG at 30 and dominated the league. However, it is arguable that PSG had it easy and Ligue 1 isn't a top top league. Most new forward signings older than 29 years usually give two or three years of top performances before they become useless, and that's even if they give you top performances. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 8:26am On Jan 16, 2018 |
MoR2: Yes, that's possible but I'd prefer getting a 26-year-old Sanchez over the current one. |

I have this got feeling people are only against this Sanchez deal because City and Pep have pulled out, if we had sat in the sidelines and watched City get Sanchez, I'm sure most folks will be here castigating Ed, Mou, the Glazers for not doing enough to get a player who would've seriously improved the team. If Messi becomes available now, we y'all suggest we shouldn't go in cos he is 29/30? Dayo don make guys de write off players (30 and above) based on his well cooked excuse for Pep last season 1 Like |
