They produce more saliva at this stage so it is normal.
As for the sucking, stop him oooo. Whenever he puts his thumb in his mouth, take it out. Wear mittens for him. My baby tried to suck in fact i think all babies at some point just try to enjoy the sucking feeling but i didnt allow him, i will always take it out and wore mittens for him too. I sha succeeded in taking it from him.
One woman even told me to let my baby suck bcoz babies that suck dont disturb, i told her to leave my baby to disturb me abi which work did i sign up for again?


P.S i think this babycenter app helps with baby developments and milestones. There u get to know what is normal and what is not. What you should except from ur baby as they grow on a daily/monthly basis.

Hold on Mama, had same issue but now my son is almost 3 months and i am doing well..
Try as much as possible to get your son to suck, breast milk obeys the law of demand and supply, sucking triggers the hormone for milk production.. (Your baby might be having bottle preference cos its easier to get milk from bottle than your breast)
If you have a breast pump, try to pump often even if its just a few drop that comes out dont give up continue, if you dont, use your clean hands to express milk (at this point postpatrum i only got very little milk), use warm wet towel to massage the breasts often especially before feeds and pumping.
Take loads of water, eat food
Check around for fenugreek capsules (2caps 3 times daily) it worked wonders for me or you can try the seeds if capsule is not readily available..
I am away from my son 8AM-4PM (work) now and i pump and put in the fridge for him. I go through 4 pumping session now and each session is about 250ml even though he sucks when we are together.
BTW the first 900g formula i bought for him is still lying around so even with a rough start i still had success with breastfeeding

Then keep putting him to your breast. As you have started him on formula, your production of breastmilk will reduce if you don't put him to the breast often.

If the texture of the poop is like his used to be normal poop, then no need to panic. Meanwhile, try and keep his hands away from his mouth as much as possible.

Colic, it's normal you can search the thread for more info. Just burp him immediately after each meal then cycle his legs when it seems he's straining, no medication. It will pass by 3 months or before

A calm but firm "no/stop it" and remove the boob each time he does it

Gradually he will learn that it's not acceptable behavior

My baby quickly realised if he wants to suck he must not try it otherwise owner of boob will collect her property, chikena

Yes the texture is still like his normal poop. @ bolded, This has been a concern to me. His mouth's best friend is his hand. Do you know even while breastfeeding him, this boy will still manage to slide in one finger and be sucking both brwess and finger I just came in now from more mitten-shopping. I will wear it for him religiously now. Put him on your shoulder to burb, he will find a way to leak your neck, I just tire

Exactly how it happened to me. AF returned 6 weeks post pregnancy on top EBF It even lasted for complete 7 days me that my normal cycle lasts for 4 days. Finished one pack of always on d first day . But it normalised on the second month & it was exactly 28 days after the first. So hakuna matata
