It is up to you to provide proof of your claims, not up to me to provide proof of the opposit of your claims.
This is the 4th time I am telling you this, are you well in the head ?

OrisaEsu:

You want proof?

Read Clapperton’s journal.

Read Landers’ journal.

Also, apart from the Europeans reaching Yoruba land. The Hausa/Fulani up there told the Europeans about Yoruba. You want proof, read.

If your proof is to show you the Europeans’ path, place & time of conversation then I am sorry for you.

KUBA1987:
I already explained all this to you.
You are a very bad student.

If you claim that the Oba of Benin said something to Afonso around six hundred years ago, then you must back that claim with a six hundred year old document in which your claim is made. It is as simple as that. If there is no time travel involved then that is the only manner truth can actually be conserved through time (only manner except archeological discoveries which wouldn't make sense in this context).

Dude you are slow and mischievous.

I already cited the 600 year old document.

Go find it.

And by the way, I have it.

OrisaEsu:

How illogical is your thinking?

I did not arrogate a claim to myself. I made a statement and pointed out its source. You want proof? Study the bibliography of my reference and continue to go back till you find the origin. At least that was what I did till I found Pacheco’s work referenced in one of the books in my study.

So you took time to respond and all you could say is that you have already "cited the 600 year old document", and I should go and find it.
A more logical person would actually give the name of the document in that same comment.
And knowing how much of a 419 you are, it is not going to suffice to just give any 600 year old document. You have to actually show that this claim is made in the document. If not it would be very easy to just type "600 year old portuguese document" on google and then find one and have me wasting my time looking over it.
It is you who have to look over it and come only when you have actual proof.

yoruba 419 historians making everybody waste their time.
This is one of the reasons european researchers have difficulties relating to yoruba so called scholars.
The yoruba never prove their claims.
Instead they ask others to either accept the yoruba claims, either provide proof to the contrary.

Professional goalpost mover, you are.

1. Show proof - I cited references.

2. These are not proofs, give me proofs. - I cited references again.

3. Show me the 600 year old document - I cite the title alone.

4. Show me the document - I provide the reference and share a screenshot to show it is accessible.

5. It is a loose allegiance - all sources and authorities agree it is Ooni/Ife and Egharevba an Edo man indeed referred to Ooni ife as Oghanne Nuhe.

6. Show me where it says it in the document - cheesy

Now, dude after I point out where it says it in the document what happens next? You’ll then ask me to provide pictures of Oba Ozolua and the guy having the conversation?

Wow, so you actually think the year 1892 is 600 years ago ?
This explains a lot about you.
So your proof is the first page of a book written in 1892 ?
On that page all that is written is the title of the book.

You don't need to proof anything to Edos because facts are there as a foothold.
Some of the sculptures are in England. The ‘Ori Olokun’ head was chosen as the logo for the All-Africa Games held in Lagos in 1973 and has been adopted as the logo of numerous commercial, educational and financial institutions. The images which has become universal symbols of African heritage. Below are pictures of Ooni done via sculpture. One of it was dug out of Bini Palace. The other one was Ooni lafogido's. I wonder if Bini was that relevant that even Portuguese Explorers didn't consider having his sculpture beimg casted via the method learned at ILE IFE ? What I have asked you from the beginning has always been the same:

in order to prove your claim, you must show a 600 year old document in which the claim is made.

Now, understanding that you are doing everything to go arround this simple task, I precised to you that just showing any 600 year old document was not sufficient and that you needed to prove that the claim was made in the document. The only way to do that is to show the passage in the document where the claim is made.

I never asked you for references, you brought that out of your own volition rather than actually proving your claim. And I objected to that and reminded you several times that you still had not provided proof.

To which I have already responded by saying this:
KUBA1987:
No, I will not debate him because he is not the one whom I am talking to.
I am talking to you and I am Edo and you are not.
And I am telling you that he is wrong.
If him being Edo (as you claim) gives him authority in making that claim, then my being Edo gives me the same authority.
this puts an end to you brandishing your hero's claim as biblical truth.
The crux of the matter is that you personnally have no say in this and your claims are still unproven.
Re: The Ogiso Of Bini & Ijaw Came From Ile-ife by Nobody: 9:28pm On Jan 17, 2018

Re: The Ogiso Of Bini & Ijaw Came From Ile-ife by Nobody: 9:34pm On Jan 17, 2018
So now you want to enter a debate about "academia" ?
Wouldn't it cost less time if you just proved your claim rather than going around it and claiming "hey this is how it is done in accademia" which by the way is totally false. I know that because i have actually done research and I even knew that before ever doing any research.
The matter in question is not to prove that someone else made the claim, it is to prove that someone made the claim 600 years ago, and the only way to prove that is to provide a 600 year old document in which the claim is made !

Let them rain curses, we are their father. This is the reason they tried so much to create a different identity, yet they couldn't do without Yoruba's oranmiyan. Either folklore or myth, at least an Ooni sculpture was dug out in the heart of Bini palace. Yoruba history can continue naming 1000 Yoruba relevant people without mentioning anyone, so proud, who claims or claimed representing Bini cum Edo's version. And they are the ones that ruled all southern Nigeria ,including Onitsa. Yet, Ijaws are right there at their backyard .What a pity!

You keep making frivolous claims about conducting research and helping bini bourgeoisie professors YET you do not know once reference is provided it behoves the reader to dig into the reference if anything is in doubt.

I provided several references but you are in doubt. It is now up to you to vet my references till you lay your hand on the 600 year old document.

This is how it is done in Humanities.

Now, I went out of my way to send you a screen shot of the 600 year old document which I should not have.

Thank you for taking the diligence to explain to those perpetrating novel theory of Bini, simply because they have to pay rent or lease land from Ogiso each time they are crowned in a new land they established. If they had done their research, they could have told Ogiamen that even Ogiso dynasty came from Ife.

The Yoruba Oba, son of Owomika or Eweka dynasty was a Yoruba himself. What an irony that a Yoruba, fluent in his Yoruba language wanted to be part of Ogiso so much, he questioned the lineage of the most respected Bini historian. Isn't that funny on his face?

The amount of evidence in history, archaeology, anthropology and common sense is enough to convince a dense brain. But for a long time, many historian laughed at this fraud of novel history from the fear of Ogiamen, that the lie would go away. But if you tell lies many times unchallenged, fool will start believing themselves. This matter should have been dismantled along time ago as it surfaced.

They are just ashamed now to accept reality. Now these ignoramus claim they have nothing in common with Yoruba. That is not the perpetrator from his book claimed, he claimed to be the father of Yoruba. If you claimed to be the father of your own great grandfather, does that mean you have nothing in common with Yoruba? A river that loses its source will dry up. Who even know about Ogiso until Oba came?

In my area, it is enough to work with. No one asks people in my field to provide proofs beyond citations in their bibliography, sorry.

There is no doubt about it. Even if we have issues within our Yoruba enclave, it is not their cup of tea. We open their eyes, exposed them to good things of life and because of Yoruba's shrewd secrecy, they want to take advantage of it. Sorry is their case!
