For the person that says the list will go through NASS, and for the people that support that, I have just one question for you.

What will the national assembly do with the list?

Are you saying it going to go to the senate or HOR or both have a joint session just like when the president is presenting the budget, so as just to pass the list of successful candidates?

Why dnt you just say they will invite the 400 successful candidates and screen them one after the other just the way ministers are screened?

National Assembly has nothing to do with the list. Not even the house or senate committee on petroleum.

The only way they can get involved, is request / beg the authorities in DPR that their candidates be taken and those ones have the right to refuse, especially if it's just a mere senator or HORM and not a ranking one.

Your best bet of getting in is knowing someone in authority in DPR, NNPC or MPR. Offcourse the presidency included.

Guys, this might be a little off-topic. But I just want to use it to pass a very simple message which is get yourself busy instead sleeping and waking up here as most persons do.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaROWTtI4OE

Try something new, go beyond and above your limited. Don't let this recruitment be the all and all for you. I'm trying to achieve two things here;
1. To encourage all of us to start looking beyond DPR while we wait and pray, instead sleeping and waking up here
2. To share and promote my new efforts and developments.

No Critics People

grin grin Did you just say NASS has nothing to do with the list? Ok, let me "come and be going".....I'm sure even if I explain some things and even give evidence, some will still doubt. Let's all just wait for the final outcome.

Good morning fellas, in as much as I appreciate the ongoing debate, I beg to disagree with the statement above that the DPR list will be forwarded to the NASS, this is not true. From my experience as an intern in the NASS, the agencies where recruitment lists are forwarded to are FCC (to ensure that Federal Character is applied in the selection process) and the parent Ministry in this case Petroleum (For approval). Also, from my findings, the list has left the Department for the Minister's approval and in a couple of weeks APLs will start dropping.

so reality is beginning to set in. I remember how some people bashed and cursed me with a particular person wishing me death indirectly all because I said the Nigerian system will never change. lol! how can you even believe so much in Nigeria. there are people whose list will over rule a god damn merit list except specialised courses and Nigeria I know will put a square peg in a round hole self meaning if you have worked in government service, your boss in account the department can be a graduate of Islamic religious studies while you working under him is an accountant. lol. so your boss will always get you to do the job while he takes the glory or recommends you for promotion. which means a specialised department is not so specialised after all.

I will say again, I don't understand when people talk about merit o. lol! it is an unspoken rule never to tell anybody that you were helped by a politician. its even forbidden not for the politician but for you the hopefuls because it can be used against you as soon as the politician is no more in service. if they find out or you're bragging to be a powerful man's baby, just wait till the man is no more or has no mouth, the first thing is to transfer you to sokoto or a place where you will be forced to resign. it happened in my fathers time and its still happening. so tell me how anyone is damn sure that 70% of federal government jobs were gotten on merit. in the history of Nigeria, 70% of the masses has never and till thy kingdom come will never get a federal government job on merit and you can take that to the bank. nobody talks everyone keeps quiet and form I did not no anybody. a nairalander who would see my comment and laugh also says he doesn't no anybody when ogbeni made a phone call to his powerful senator when his portal refused to open, he was among the last to do interview long after y'all did your own. he is here and i m sure he is laughing. just a phone call and his portal opened . anybody that gets fg job on merit is extremely lucky. such luck is not common and that person must be extremely good that you cannot tamper or overlook his/ her performance. that person must also be lucky not to come from the state of a powerful politician if not Bleep your performance. walush and the rest are 100% correct! no more no less. one thing is sure Gods grace but all of you cannot get it at this time because time and chance happen to people individually so what ever comes out take it and move on.

my dear hopefuls, if you have the opportunity to live this country, do so and never come back. and I am certain a lot of you will not accept the offer letter, or you think your state of residence is where they will automatically put you. pray they don't carry you to boko haram state. i think dpr is in every state. that is another avenue to weed out people from the south. I rest my case.

Walush:

I understand your ignorance here, lemme bring you up to speed with what you don't know.

1.i have years of experience with DPR and it's modus operandi as regards recruitment, salaries, upfront up till its pension for retired staff.

2.recruitments have always been the same pattern since 2000/2001 batch, politicians have always influenced it either internally or externally.

3.there is really no much pressure here like the last recruitment where appointment letters came out a year and some months after the interview. Interview was 2011, APLs came Jan 2013,so pls tell me where is the pressure here.Alhaji Shakur happened to be the head HR then while Mrs Khalegha was head CS.

4.Now, I don't just know a handful of them, both serving and retired , I am privilege to know over 60.% of the staff in HR (head quarters). So when I say the list is out believe me it is out.

5. What u need not do is wrapping your brians around what you are not certain about (speculations) but believing and praying that your name or names don't get switched or replaced.. If the formal directors daughter can be replaced under his rule then who are you?

6.Now you should know by now that, I did not just cook this up, I am not new there, I ve got personal experience with em.

7.for the feeble hearted, pls don't let all this rubbish I wrote down here scare you o. Keep the hope alive - goodnight.
lol @ being naive..let me burst yur tiny bubble again.. i was 95% sure no list was out yesterday. Today i am 1000% sure. I'm not going back and forth on this. Pls go back to your source and ask explicitly what list they told yu about. Peace out

From my own findings or rather my own "sauce" as we speak the list has left DPR.

the other information i got is in tandem with walush own, hence no need to repeat it here.

however, merit is still the key requirement for EH and for people who applied for technical positions.

As for the timing of issuing out APLs, first quarter is still the target.
