There's something called freedom of worship. If anybody wants to pack his life savings and give his pastor cos of his beliefs that's his problem. If you don't like the way things are going in some churches, air your opinion & suggestion & quietly walk away. You can't be shoving it down the throats of everybody everyday. Go and read Acts 4:34-35. There, they sold, laid at the Apostles' feet and distribution was given to every man according to how he had need.

So many questions about this first fruit thing and most pastors don't clear their congregation over that. How does the whole thing work? Cos by my own understanding, fruit is not just cash. It encompasses all including agric proceed and so many others. Take for instance, I am a worker and collects about 50k monthly and also make about 20k from farm as may be a farmer. Am I expected to hand the whole cash over to church after going through the hardship of January, that is the most difficult month?

Tithe is a command from God but as a result of ur inability to read the bible, Ur pastors have been deceiving u.

God clearly said that tithe is to be paid to widows, orphans, fatherless, levites, foreigners who have no land, Etc. Tithe is for the poor. Try n develop the habit of reading ur bible, stop following pastors.

If you earn ten thousand a month, giving God one thousand won't stop you from assisting your parents financially wen the need arises

Hmmm sometimes these topics (tithes and first fruits) tend to put one in absolute confusion. Your parents are the ones that took care of you right from when you born.
