BS BS BS!!!

first of allcongrats to all Jan mamas that have put to bed.. Thank God for safe deliveries so far..

Lemmi quickly drop it before I forget.. Well I wanted a DEC 27th baby as per my anniversary but as God wld HV it baby at exactly 40 weeks 2days despite all the pineapple, staircase climbing, walks and all that...

After one session if stair case climbing on d 10th jan, at about 10pm I noticed blood on d tissue àfyer peeing, told my mum immediately as hubby wasn't in town and we rushed down to Isalu Hosp at Ogba(I must really say that I enjoyed their services, though I din't really enjoy the ANC with their MD/gynii cause I felt he was too straightforward.. U ll have to ask him questions if not he won't really give u details.. But their nurses and midwife and d doc that eventually handled my delivery were all God sent.. Very patient and sympathetic)

Got to the Hosp arnd 10.20pm, the doctor that examined me said I was just 1cm gone but I ll have to be admitted to avoid infection cuz I had already lost the mucus plug.. I Was there feeling reluctant and shy when he wanted to do VE, unknown time that he ll be the same person o handle delivery and stitch me in d end sef lolzz..

I was checked all try d night for fetal heart beat, blood pressure and VE.. As at 12 noon the following day that's 11th Jan, I was checked again and was just 3cm gone that was how d MD/gyni came to check me himself and wrote out drugs for the nurses to administer since i wasbt dilating fast enough. and DAT was when d real labour started.


I was given castor oil mixed with milk to drink, oxytocin, cyclogest, another tablet was inserted in my VJ, anther in my anus , anotuer injcted drectly in my veins all at once and within 20 mins I started having slightly painful contractions on d bed but kept bearing it and saving my energy for the real deal..unknown to me that that was the real deal (because the lady I shared d room was really screaming and shouting and displaying when she was just 6cm and as at then I tot I was still at 3cm so I was just trying to hold myself, unknown to me that I was already close to being 10cm as well) when It became really serious I had to tell them yo remove the drip.. I stood up to pee and threw up the castor oil and milk , felt a li relieved but just kept pacing up and down...after 1 hour felt pressure in my anus and VJ at same tome... Started crying cldbt bear it any more.. The nurse came around again to check and noticed I was fully dilated..she call d doc, he checked and at that point he burst my water... Was so happy when i heard the midwige say bring out ur baby clothes( i knew the momnet had finallycome to meet my long awaited baby) i was sent to the theatre and that thats where part 3 began..

I was still on drip and dey injected some other things directly in my veins and felt the contractions come mor quickly...
Was asked to push with each contraction which was the hardest part for me cause I was so weak with each contraction that hit me but I just had to push and after the fifth push I was cut and my baby emerged...he was placed on my tummy and taken away to be cleaned... Moments later the olacenta came out and I as stitched... The pains were something else but all in all it was bearable which was my prayer to God from day 1 that he shld pls make it bearable for me..

Still feels like a dream that i m now a mummy..breastfeeding, changing daipers and all.. I'm grateful to God for His mercies and I wish all other mamas a safe delivery, Amen!!!

Ad she said 6cm i felt she was joking(i dnt know why i felt she was joking but it wasnt a joke!
Then they asked me to lie on my left. I turned left oooooo but couldnt bear it again then i got up nd said nurse why must it be left nd not right? She didnt answer. As d contractions began again i started screaming: i want to face right o nurse right plz nurse lemme face right, i beg u nursebjust allow me face right small even if na 2minis. D nurse now started explaining jargons couldnt comprehend. Later my mind just reminded me i wasnt in chains na so i change position to right. When contractions came again i turned to nurse nd said nurse dont be offended plz i want to go back to left. I turned again. The third time i told the nurse say nurse Kalu i cant beg again o i want to face up. She was jus looking at me. After like one hour she left to rest her head. I was alone. I just jump down from bed lije wrestler, went to the ward. I met one oda nurse there, i tapped her nd said madam plz pray for me, am dieing. She was shocked nd escorted me back to d labour ward. She prayed after sometime she slept off na so i waka go meet nurse Kalu nd started to quarrel with her abt me being alone in labour ward. Na so anoda contraction come. I didnt know when i entered akanchawa nd started to sing it. They took me back to the labour ward. Anoda 2minis contractions came again i enter Yoruba songs. As the labour proceeded i started shouting waiyo allah waiyo allah. The nurses were confused larer i entered my dialect nd started asking God to help me. Then one of the nurses now said ehen thats how u shld do be calling Jesus. I entered anoda round of shouting this time it was yeparipa oluwami o

They had to administer ox.y.to.xin as they fixed d canula immediately i aensed what they wanted to do i opted to use the toilet. I went n nd locked the toilet door they started begging me to come out. They had to goan bring dh to coman help dem beg me. After a while i came without the canula. They had to fix a new one nd boom they started d drip dat was how the madness increased. I started shouting my fada nd moda to no avail i superfly from the bed to the ground nd said i needed space i wanted to run. The nurse was like run as how? I said i have strength i want to run intothe bush plz allow me. As i turn see dh na so i use force turn hold his shirt nd started tearing it and was saying look at what u cosd if i were single this wont happen. The man just stood there begging me to cooperate. I turnwd to nurse Kalu nd said plz hold me, am in pains who asked to agree? Na so i start to dey break d nurse finger with all my strength. I left her nd faced bedspread na so i shout i want to tear something i just hold d bedspread tear an into two. Again as d drip progressed i started saying sojo(army doc) plz help me. D doc said cooperare so we can help u na so i spark o because am in ur hospital, ordinary yeye soldier is trearing me anyhow. You are wicked. Officer you are wicked o. Just to help me officer. D officer now said anoda six months now u will start antenatal again na so i vex look her wt terrible bad eye.
I shout sotae their oga came to check what was happening nd said oh na born she dey born.

I curse them, fight them, warn them, beg them, do all sorts of things till finally, i had the urge to poo. I told the nurse she said poo there. I said no ooo no plz i cant poo in u pple's presence. My butt loss value because i kept slapping it once contractions come. I told dh stop rubbing my back rub my butt. D man jejely carey hand dey rub my frosh butt but wt fear for him eyes until i said stop! I dont want again just go, goooo oga get out of here now!

Then she put her hand nd said ur see babys head once u get d urge to poo plz push na so puuuuuuush kpaka nothing. The officer provoke for me saying since you have been wasting ur energy shouting now you are proving lazy. I go so slap ur butt if u no push. Do u want to injure ur child? As the urge came again i puuuuuush nothing dat was how they brought out a scissors like equipment as i pushed again i heard & felt cut chakam! There the head came out i pushed the last nd the remaining body came out @ 5:05am weighing 3.5kg with a loud cry nd hand struggling to enter mouth.

They took him and we continued with placenta which came out after sometime looking very large according to the nurses. They now started saying you sure say na only one baby?
They stitched the scissor cut nd the cervix tear.
After all said nd done i just got up like i did during labour nd was forming going to maternity ward where i just became blank and fell on the floor nd fainted abi na pass out(i fear o) they rushed me back and administered drip which lasted for about two hours.
I saw my John all looking so handsome and ingredient. Then i said to myself: congratulations you are now a mommy

Only for one of the nurses to coman be asking me, madam abeg what tribe exactly are you? She asked me during labour i told i forgot as my brain was filled with pains

I apologised to each and every nurse present and dh gave them moni to share among themselves with preferencial treatment to nurse Kalu.

My appreciation goes to all mamas Atc, preggy, waddlers, newmoms, oldmoms, grandmas etc. Preggy threaders una do well

When some mamas complained about it I thought it was not real until my baby became a victim. It scraped his back hair, Thank God I came across the post on natural oils on th newborn thread .We use coconut oil now.

The hair is from her father's family o, I don't use anything on it. We only wash with soap once or twice weekly. All other washing is just to run water through. Was using baby oil on it till I learnt mineral oils are not good for the hair so we switched to coconut oil.[/b] I feel like eating her head after rubbing it on[b].

You need to see the way her father threatens me that we'll cut the hair. He says it anytime he wants to see me boil. Abeg, is it compulsory to cut baby's hair? Cos me I'm not planning to o, except the hair starts misbehaving.
Still thinking of how to convince the man to drop the idea. He says we should cut it so better one can grow. Abeg, what do I do?

She's so beautiful. I love her hair. I think the hair cutting thing is just custom. My babies hair too is so yummy lol I also use coconut oil.
