Loco I believe Oga Oracle is right.

Check historical charts most stock peak at between second to third week in January every year. The next peak you might see will be around march when most mark down dates are approaching.

I do not think the bull will continue for now, i might be wrong. By monday it will be clear.

2nd part of 2018 is strictly reserved for deception by the microphone guys.
It will also be a time of selling to fund campaigns and a time of extreme vigilance by retail investors.. grin
No blinking, no sneezing..... grin

There is no average price any where, this is not the first time I am buying stocks but this is the first time this kind of thing is happening.
It didn't happen on my previous buys, why now.

Ask them for clarification, if they do not have a tangible explanation. Take the evidence go to NSE building in Marina write a letter of complaint. They will tell you the procedure within a week the broker will recieve a query email from NSE with you copied and NSE will give them two weeks to resolve the issue.

NSE are that efficient, there is no need to go to SEC yet, unless you are not satified with the way NSE resolved it that's when you go to SEC. But trust me NSE will resolve it. Brokers do not like this kind of case. They fear NSE

I will encourage you to look at chart for Egypt EGX 30 index. Similar market who floated currency. Bull not in bursts. Slow and steady

EGX30 gained over 50% in 6weeks between October 20 20016 - January 12 2017 (Less than 2 months)

I guess that is more than a burst. It is expect at the repricing phase

FBN Update
Monthly RSI at all time highs , this is very explosive and we shud expect more 52 week highs (stay long with d trend)
Weekly RSI is also breaking to new highs, fully in support of the monthly (super stuff)
Therefore every pull back on d daily is just NOISE but more importantly an opportunity for re-entry or adding more
Some people wish they bought below N10 , they shud get over it and just get in, nothing like too high or too low

Dis:
very heavy here , looking to add more if liquidity permits

You are just heavy everywhere. I don dey suspect you shaaa...

I wonder why we can hold a losing stock for 4 years but a winning stock after 3 weeks will be doing us to sell.

I got my FCMB stock at the average cost of N 1.11 last year, when it made 100%, it took every fiber of my being for me not to sell it. We want to be value investors and read Benjamin Graham but to actually live the rules and methods is such a big challenge.

I'm an active reader of this thread and I don't comment much but I digest everything here. One of the most beautiful stories I have read here is about the guy that bought FO at N10 and sold at N200. There is no telling which stock will be my 2015 FO, but I don't even pretend to guess which of my 10 stocks will do that but I know that its only if I sit tight and follow my thought out system that I can possibly achieve that. I also know of a Company that got ACCESS bank shares for about N2 in 2006 and sold for N19 in 2007. We don't underestimate a Bear era in this forum (which is a good thing), lets not also underestimate a Bull era. The rules for both are different. If MMM could hold our attention as Nigerians for 1 yr before it finally ended, there is no telling when this mad bull of ours would end. It could be tomorrow and it could also be in 9 months.

I know the trading week might start tomorrow and throw all my analysis inside gutter, but I only live once grin

It is called special situations.

It usually occurs in a stock that has gone very high in price and fell uncountably low. So people tend to re-bid it back to the high.

FO was at N250 before and fell to N7. There is a tendency to re-bid it back to the high.

Stocks that can do that are NB (if bought at N10 after a sharp descent), Nestle( if bought at N100), Oando( at current price), GTB (if bought at N2), Total (if bought at N7).

At GTB current price, if they pay N2 as dividend, it is a dividend yield less than 4%

DY are getting smaller.

My rule is to follow DY when the bears come or go with price appreciation when DY falls(during bulls). Very few stocks will do 10% DY.

Your strategy may be different.

As for OANDO, my mind is divided as to its possibility of repeating the FO story.
One one hand, the percentage crash of its price from its all time high of nearly 300 during the crazy 2007/2008 bull to the current 5.99 after touching as low as 2.9 in Feb. 2016 leaves enough reasons to believe it could return to at least N200 after the TS is lifted and the company comes out clean or "clean" of SEC's investigation especially considering that its figures have somewhat returned to green like it was with FO after about 2 to 3 years on the crashed price range.
But on the other hand I feel that FO was able to return to N300 status quo ante in a non-bullish atmosphere on the strength of its very low outstanding shares of just above 1b unlike OANDO which now has a total of about 12 bn outstanding as against the just 0.6bn they had before the reforms.
Well, as Onegentleguy says, Mr. Time holds the final verdict.

A lot of stocks have done that. Even last year UBA was about 3 Naira and I feel it will touch 20 Naira. Diamond and Fidelity were pretty high before they fell as low as N1. If our macroeconomic activity keeps being good, most stocks could touch their all time highs in a few months.

Full disclosure I sold my Caverton with a healthy profit because I know that it has liquidity issues. I added to my fbnh with the money, no regrets yet.
