nicemuyoo:These pastors have gone without food and all those other things you have mentioned. Not everything was recorded in the Bible so don't pretend to know what you don't know. It is your type that will identify the level of Christianity of a fellow by how poor he is. So many things you don't know about the church but you feel you have authority to speak on. For the record, if they were to write on everything that happened, as it happened daily, the Bible will be much bigger than this. It takes special grace and understanding to be able to sell your property and give everything to the church. This simply shows they have been giving before, so it wasn't something strange or new. |

When you say giving to the church do you mean the people as in congregation and not to an establishment church of today they are two different things please. The free will giving in the bible is talking about is giving to the body of believers and this resources were used to edit and see to the welfare of the people. Everybody is taken care off equally including the elders. Not someone building a kingdom or wealth for his/her self. Not merchandising the gospel of salvation. eph12: |

nicemuyoo:Churches have the governing council. They make decisions on behalf of the church just like the apostles and appointed leaders made the decisions then. Apostles didn't stay one place. They planted churches and moved on immediately but they had anointed people to oversee the activities of the church. Those are the pastors you see now. Where did you see everybody was taken care of equally and all their needs met in the Bible. You sure you're not trying to draw your own conclusion for argument sake? You think after they shared those properties and all they had no needs to meet again or it was a continuous thing? |

So you are saying people where not cared for equally in acts . You are saying Peter, James, Paul were living in luxury at church expense while the poor in congregation are lacking! You are accusing the saints Paul, Peter, James, John of being guilty of what is going in on the the church of today! The governing council of the church during Peter, jamesetc time was a voluntary sacrificial role not a paid pastor job or career like you have today! Most of donations paul collected asking people to set aside offerings were for the saints in a different location that where in need!! Judgement would start in the house of God. eph12: |
Re: What If We Give Our First Fruit To Our Parents? - Uti Nwachukwu, Daddy Freeze by eph12(m): 10:45am On Jan 22, 2018 |
nicemuyoo:I am not accusing anybody of anything. I am only pointing out your assumptions in your arguments, which may be true or not but no facts to back up your claim. We have to be fair in our critics against leaders of churches or even any organisation. Some pastors don't even collect salaries from their churches anymore. When Jesus said "the poor you will always have with you", he was talking about how there will always be poor ones. There will always be those that instead of going to work hard, applying principles in their choice of careers or businesses, they will be waiting for churches to meet their needs. And when they are not met, they find means to accuse the churches. There will always be poors ones. As we speak millions are being catered for, whether through orphanages, prisons, mental hospitals, maternity homes, schools, but the focus is on the private jet that you don't know how they came about. Hundreds of thousands are employed by churches and doing very well but it is the pastors that are collecting salaries. Know this now that there is no evidence to prove that the apostles and the leaders chosen to continue the growth of the churches then were not taken care of by the churches. You can't assume that all the needs of the poor were taken care of by the apostles. It is not possible. There are some nowadays that are just too lazy to work, or make use of the brain God has given them. They don't want to start small, ignoring humble beginnings. But they want the church to solve their needs. Please don't ignore facts and reasoning for gossips, be open minded. |

1 Peter 5King James Version (KJV) 5 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre(money), but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. Folks JESUS HIMSELF TAUGHT PETER AND OTHERS THAT BEING A PASTOR, ELDER, BISHOP IS A CALL TO SACRIFICIAL SERVICE AND EVERYBODY IN THE CHURCH ARE ALL EQUAL, THE HEAD OF EVERY MAN IS JESUS AND THE HEAD OF JESUS IS GOD. THE PASTOR/BISHOP IS NOT THE HEAD OF ANY MAN. pastor is a call to service and your reward is honour and respect and a crown of glory when He returns, Peter specifically warn that money/ wealth should not be a reward for call to service as a pastor or elder etc. Or exercising authority over people as you are not their head. The head of everyman is Christ. JESUS AS WARNED YOU HIMSELF AND THROUGH PETER, PAUL ETC HOPE YOU WOULD BE READY WITH YOUR VALID EXCUSES ON THE LAST DAY!! eph12: |

When Jesus said you would always have the poor among you there was a reason for that statement!! 1.he was replying Judas who was in charge of keeping money, but was always stealing from the fund kept in his care. So he never really care about the poor he was after getting more money to steal which Jesus was aware of. He was rebuked for his hypocrisy, greed and stealing. 2. That act the woman carried out was to FUFIL scriptures and prophecy preparing Him for his death .it was predestined to happened and it was a one off incident never repeated again. eph12: |

PrecisionFx:those ones that made those donations that changed their lives are not your common average salary earner. They are not the ones you threaten with paying of tithes or whatever. They are not the struggling ones, they drop millions as a seed to the pastors and don't look back. The #50 #50 offering you drop is not even enough to provide electricity every service day or run the administrative offices not to talk of making a pastor rich. |

D1official: A university campus is a place for schooling n not place of worship. Religion have made u people so stupid to the extent that u don't have the ability the reason like an educated person. A church shouldn't be inside school campus, its a space for learning n reading, not a place to clap, sing and use all sorts of musical instruments to disturb serious students. If u wan to go to church, go to the church n allow others make use of libraries, labs, classes for their studies. |

eph12: . I am far richer than u can ever imagine to achieve in a lifetime. Back to the topic, The number of people that give millions in churches are extremely few, they make up less than 0.5 percent of the church. The real money comes from tithes n offerings of the other millions of church members who u consider as 50 naira givers. My points are very clear, the rich men of God make teir money from church donations. A rich man didn't provide oyedepo with 40 MILLION dollars to buy a gulfstream 550. That's over 10 billion naira. List the men of God that made their wealth from their personal businesses or hold ur peace. |

Cletus77: Do u even know what Atheism is? Stop throwing words around the whole place. Paying tithe doesn't make anyone rich, Hindus, Panatheists, judaists, Atheists, Animists, Muslims, etc still get extremely rich......They didn't pay tithe in ur church. 10% of the earnings of Christians belongs to the widows, orphans, fatherless, levites, Foreigners who have no land, Etc n the bible is very clear on that. Start reading ur bible, its not too late |

John 12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. Judas sin of theft an greed for money finally found him out he betrayed Jesus for money. Matt 26:11-12 11 The poor you will always have with you,but you will not always have me. 12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. eph12: |

PrecisionFx:You are confusing yourself! Your last statement made sense, yeah tithings are also used for DAT but don't forget that if you pay tithes, it passes through the church to those you mentioned. Yes it doesn't make you rich but it can protect the little you've got! If other religions don't pay tithes and it works out for them doesn't means Christians who are aware of the repercussion should try it. Dont be deceived GOD cannot be fooled! |
