A group rooting for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's election as President on the platform of the PDP in 2019, has said that they are ready to dump the party in the event their principal failed to secure the ticket [/b]and decided to leave the party.

Responding to questions ‎from newsmen at a press conference in Abuja on Sunday, the National Coordinator of 'IamAtikulated2019' [b]Ike Bishop Okoronkwo appealed to PDP governors, National Working Committee (NWC) and other critical stakeholders to give the ex-VP the ticket.

"We are protégés of Atiku. Wherever he goes, we will go. Whatever he ask us to do, we will do.‎ We are campaigning for transformation of Nigeria’s economy and employment of youths. "And having looked at the profiles of those currently aspiring to contest for President on the platform of PDP for 2019, we have identified Atiku as the only one with the character and content, political will and capacity required to bring the needed transformation that Nigerians are yearning for.

"The majority of the members of this platform, came from the various support groups that vigorously campaigned for General Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 general elections," he said. ‎

you never see something. Buhari is not through with you yet. You voted change in 2015, you've seen change, you have started crying now, because you don't want to cry later. Do you consider what the situation would look like in 2019, if everyone should decide to take same decision you took in 2015 by voting in Buhari for continuity, as a pay back for your shortsightedness of 2015? Is it not high time your head is buried in shame with mouth and face filled with apology and regret respectively? I look at you, all I see is the reason why the youth's leadership posture of the so called leaders of tomorrow might forever be postponed by our today's leaders. The reason is simple. The youth are leaders of tomorrow said the elders of today, but tomorrow came, and the elders looked at the youths and didn't see the preparedness in them. They saw youthful exhaublence, orchestrated with sentiments and hence shortsightedness in taking decisions. Thus, they conclude that, the leadership of the society would be thrown into anarchy, if such flimsy minds are allowed to control the government machinery of the state or pilot the national affairs. Consequently, they've remained in power, not due to self enrichments and personal aggrandizements alone as could be perceived from some quarters but, because our youth are yet to restructure their minds and expand the mental horizons, in order to be abreast with the current realities remonstrated and revolved around the everyday life and in all facets of living. #standwithDonaldDuke2019
