mcstan18:Let's be conscious of answers we give, especially when it carries so much authority. There was a similar case mentioned on the previous thread, poster got reference letter from his line head, but confirmation went direct to the company's HR (probably gotten from their website) with the line head in copy. Case got a bit complicated as HR was said to not likely respond, and line head too wouldn't even dare respond to that particular mail. I can't recollect the end of that case. cc: Clock89, please be guided. 5 Likes |

@mcstan18 this your response is very wrong. It is not misrepresentation. As a married person you have an option of either adding your spouse or not.(accompanying or unaccompanying spouse). If after ITA/AOR (during processing) the PA decides to add spouse and send relevant docs to IRCC, then that's misrepresentation cos it will be deduced that the PA choose spouse as 'unaccompanying' just to claim points. mcstan18: |

Please people need to be very careful o. Dont allow your desperation for PR to make scammers get u. Yesterday i posted about my challenge to make payment. And early this morning i got an email for @mosthigh33 requesting to assist me make payments. I wanted to understand his tactics so i led him on. He went on to say he's in Canada and has helped some people with payments but has also been scammed. So he's meeting me based on trust (like for real, u dont even know what i look like). I accepted and told him the amout was for 1040 CAD. I could feel his mouth water cos he requested we take the chat to BBM, like seriously, who uses BBM. I told him no, i use Whatsapp, so he shld send me his number. Oga 419 said he doesnt use Whatsapp (so he wont blow his cover of being in Canada) Anyways, pls be careful who sends you PMs o. Not everyone here has a good intention. and beware of MOSTHIGH33...... 28 Likes |

Guys please don't be angry for the long post but this are trying times for me as well as "matters of the heart" concerning me and IELTS and they said "a problem shared is a problem solved" I keep getting 7.5 on listening and 6.5 on reading even though I read/practice/prepare as if I'm going for MBBS exam. My practice score for both listening and reading are most often within the range of 38- 40 but "I still dey gbagaun for the actual test " dunno y Here is list of things I think might I be doing wrong when it comes it to the listening section: i. I write all my ans in caps. ii. I go back to correct the tenses and more often change from singular to plural and vice versa as the sentence required. iii. In the last test I took; the question required you answers be written in two words and a number; the speaker called out a date of birth as "22nd the 7th 1985" and I wrote "twenty-second July 1985" was I correct? cos i'm thinking this contributed to my downfall and wouldn't want to fail such a question ever in my life. In reading, I knew my weakness was T/F/NG; Y/N/NG and matching heading so I took out time to practice question on this alone until I started acing it consistently yet "I still enter 6.5 bus" aside this I can't point a finger to what could be wrong with the reading section. I planned on taking the next available test as "e dey hot" but on reading canadianfly's write up, I had to take a second guess cos she really made a good point; but my problem could not be practice as I invest good time in it. Lastly, could it be BC |

mummytutu: Lol. Mcstan18 please understand the process well before dishing wrong answers to newbies. How can you advise someone to divorce their spouse all because of PR? When there's a choice to choose them as unaccompanying? Then the referefrence answer, like Kontagious pointed out, one is expected to get reference letter from the appropriate dept, I.e. HR. Anyway please folks y'all need to read for yourselves and not take every answer on here as truth, coz some people haven't really gotten a grasp of things. All the best to everyone. 4 Likes |

Uzoreen:Please I will advise you to put this down with the following reasons: 1. He sent a Pm to me also cos I needed someone to help me pay for application fee, he told me he used his Nigeria number for whatsapp and he sent his BBM ID,he told him I don't use BBM anymore so I can't continue the transaction anymore 2. To cut the story, I told him to verify my name on facebook (which I did not ask for his), then ask for my payment details and helped me to pay, I sent his money to him immediately I verified the payment . I can post our chats and the screenshot of my payment 1 Like |

There is nothing wrong is stating you are married and also stating that your spouse is unaccompanying. You get points as if you are a single applicant, but you will however be required to provide POF for your spouse as if he or she is accompanying you. CIC site has already stated this. But if you state that your spouse is not accompanying pre-ITA, don't go and be raising CSE that you want to add spouse post-ITA, because you have already earned points as a single person. Except you are ready to start producing IETLS results and ECA report to show that you still meet the minimum score for which you were invited in the first place (not sure this is even allowed). Always refer people to the appropriate site if you are in doubt instead of stating personal opinions as truth. People, please read o. CIC site has provided all the info you need. You should only ask very specific questions that relate to a personal circumstance or something that is not expressly stated on the CIC site e.g using pension funds as POF etc. Don't go and make mistake because you don't want to do a little research. Canada journey is not a beans something. #OkBye. mcstan18: |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Canadianfly: 11:12am On Jan 22, 2018 |
canadianxmas: The answer is 22nd July 1985. That twenty-second you wrote has passed two words. Don't over think the answers, coz if you do, you'll not get it right. My advice is when you do your practice tests, identify the sections you fail mostly, for me it was the matching section. So I figured I'll just write out everything the audio was saying in my question paper, then when I had 10 mins to transfer my answers...I read through what I had written and took my time to match it with the questions. My point is you need a strategy to beat your weak point. For T/F/NG the easiest way to understand it is: Truth is the statement is in the passage False is the statement is in the passage but not as the question. E.g. The passage says "the shirts are all white and long sleeves". The question is "all the shirts are short sleeved and white". This is false.... Not Given is when the statement cannot be found in the passage. Using the e.g above, Not Given is "the red and blue shirts are also long sleeves". This is not in passage so it's not given. But can be mistaken as False. Like I said before IELTS na just trick test. But you shall overcome. 9 Likes |

If your Canadian degree was obtained in Canada and not via distance learning (if you spent more than half the time outside Canada while studying), then you don't need an ECA in the first place. Your CRS score of 453 is ok for an ITA if you took into consideration that you don't need an ECA for your Canadian degree when calculating your scores. And no, your husband does not need to write IELTS or evaluate his degree except you wanna do it for the fun of it Was your work experience in Canada? Gu2015: 1 Like |

mcstan18: Hi mcstan18, am curious as to how your speaking test did go, considering the fact that you are based in Lagos, but your test centre was Ibadan, did they fix all tests for one day, or you had to travel to IB twice? Also, did BC provide earphones for the listening bit? Thanks, I pray that God grants all our heart desires. |

canadianxmas: Hello, I understand how you feel and i'm sorry you had this experience. 1.For listening i wrote all my answers in CAPS too and i had 8.5 so that is not the problem 2. I did that too. 3. I just wrote 'July 1985' I think the instruction was 'one word and/or a number' some people said it was '2 words and a number' and they wrote 22nd July 1985 but to me '22nd' is also a number(dunno sha) so that would have been 2 numbers at least. The reading was very tricky i remember feeling like i was going to fail it, I couldn't even predict my score after the test. I don't even know what advise to give you. But i know if you take your time again, practice again and Please PRAY!!!! you will do well, cos its not an IQ test. The most intelligent doctor i know is rewriting it also, so please don't beat yourself up about it. E dey happen. All the best. 1 Like |

Hello great people. I did IELTS on the 6th of January. The results came out and I had a score fair enough to put me on a CRS 432. The issue now is that NASU is on strike which means that I can't assess my transcript. I am worried that I will miss out on a favorable draw as I am yet to 'dive into the pool'. What should I do apart from praying that this strike ends already? 1 Like |

After helping him make the payment, the guy collected the naira equivalent and contacted credit card guys that it was a fraudulent transaction and requested to reverse it. He got back his money and WES contacted the applicant to raise money order as the only means of payment within a strict deadline or face grave consequences.
