Assuming you have access to a Nigerian bank's USD denominated card: - 1040CAD = 835USD approx - Buy dollar from aboki @364 as at today and load your card. That's about 303,940NGN. - For buffer, you can buy 850USD from aboki, ie. 309,400NGN -Final answer = 309,400NGN approx as at today. Julie2018: 1 Like 2 Shares |

canadianxmas: Im sorry about you result, I am not an expert but i can offer some advice. - Write exactly what you hear , (the tense you hear) do not change what you wrote first time, trust your ears. - Follow all instructions ( twenty-second 7th 1985 is wrong IMO the instruction says two words AND OR number. ) - Are you using band 8 materials? Test yourself with the hardest practice tests in Listening and Reading i.e https://ieltsonlinetests.com/ Finally RELAX, you got this I used the link for mine and i found the test easier than my practice where i averaged 35. Wishing you all the best 4 Likes 1 Share |

ottawaboi: Attach all letters you received from CIC for visa denials and write an LOE explaining the reason for denial also fill Schedule A upfront. I was denied Canadian study visa twice after which i appealed and won and was issued subsequently, i attached the two denial letters and the approval letter and also the visa affixed to my passport, i also filled a schedule A upfront and wrote an LOE explaining how it all went down. 2 Likes |

mzjennypher:Yes you can do a FD, but be sure to include your gift deed in your POF. There's no particular period to hold the money before fixing. If you fix before printing your statement, add the FD certificate to your POF. If you fix after printing statement, you may choose not include the FD certificate in your POF. 2 Likes |

HTC2017: Pls note that there are charges (hidden).Make provision for this.To be on a safe side fund your account to up or to 400,000.00NGN(It can be less 400,000NGN but let it be way over 309,400NGN because our Banks eh and the intermediary who handles the FOREX transaction have their charges) |

Julie2018: Relax the transaction will reverse.Meanwhile check -Your account balance.See eh you have to make adequate provision for charges from our banks and the intermediary that handles this FOREX transactions. if the fee is 310,000.00 fund your account to way higher THAN this like close to or 400,000.00 because of charges -Whats the limit on your card for such transactions |

Hmm. Your bolded though. If an applicant states that he is she is married but spouse not accompanying, CIC will award the person points as if such person is single naa. Isn't that what CIC stated on their site. That is what I was referring to. I wasn't even commenting on the mago mago nature of the initial question. Maybe I mixed up mummytutu's and sleekchic response sha. Well, what do I know? Kontagious: |

canadianxmas: I don't really know what to advice here but I think you shd use strategies discussed in ielts buddy and liz. The strategies there was what I used in my practice at 3rd attempt and although I never got past 37 in practice tests, I got a surprising band 9 in the actual listening test. I also wrote in caps for the first time in reading and listening and scored higher than the first 2. Check out these websites if you have not been using them before. On the tenses, try and pay more attention during listening. I don't think you should keep on changing the answers later, you might get it all muddled up. However the tenses you use should be appropriate for the sentence. All the best as you prepare for the next one 2 Likes 1 Share |

True. I spoke with a staff of the bank and they said the limit is $5,000. I am wondering why a customer service officer will tell me 1k. He needs to undergo training. He is misinforming people. linuslynx: 2 Likes |

vickyehi: We should also talk about the implication of towing that path in relation to sponsoring such spouse in the future when they finally desire to make the move. It will help for better decision making for those who are oblivious of it. |

Kontagious: Thank you @Kontagious for the insightful input but I think you more or less buttressed my initial response. The bolded alludes to that. They did contact the line head but perhaps needed some additional clarification from HR and I totally agree with you. Besides, I'd do the same if I were in their shoes because it's the duty of a Company's HR to determine staff JD, compensation, benefits and what have you. If I must accept a line manager's representation, then the HR has to endorse same. I do not think that invalidates the simple 'Yes' response given. Thank you again for the case cited |

mummytutu: @mummytutu I think you need to read my response in relation to the question posed. I believe you're having things mixed up here. Besides, I think there are better ways to get an erring party corrected other than the bolded. We're all learning you know, whether explicitly or implicitly. |

Canadianfly: I don't seem to understand your position ma'am. I'm sure you know that that wasn't an advise, I only stated a possible scenario for legitimately applying as a 'single' person. I didn't know what was obtainable for the poster and that's why I said "if it applies". It would be rather unfair to quote me out of contest and try to make it look spiteful.
Hello, I understand how you feel and i'm sorry you had this experience. 1.For listening i wrote all my answers in CAPS too and i had 8.5 so that is not the problem 2. I did that too. 3. I just wrote 'July 1985' I think the instruction was 'one word and/or a number' some people said it was '2 words and a number' and they wrote 22nd July 1985 but to me '22nd' is also a number(dunno sha) so that would have been 2 numbers at least. The reading was very tricky i remember feeling like i was going to fail it, I couldn't even predict my score after the test. I don't even know what advise to give you. But i know if you take your time again, practice again and Please PRAY!!!! you will do well, cos its not an IQ test. The most intelligent doctor i know is rewriting it also, so please don't beat yourself up about it. E dey happen. All the best.[Thanks a lot for the enlightenment ] 1 Like |
