canadianxmas: Your post called out to me. I thought this may be useful for you. The following links are some materials i used during my IELTS test and they were most helpful. I also had problems with the Y/N and matching question and i remember calling a friend (who had passed ielts) repeatedly and complaining bitterly. I always had very low scores there while i was practicing. I had issues too with the matching headlines until i watched the video of this lady Darian Sandmartin . And the whole thing was demystified for me. Please be calm and go through this links and others which may help you. Also, give yourself sometime to prepare. Practice and practice again. It is well with you. Something also helped me though some people may not agree with it. I practiced with Academic test, I did this partly in ignorance for sometime before i realized I was working with academic instead of General test! The end result was that i mastered the harder tests (for months) and by the time i was doing my mop up reading on general test (this was about 2 weeks to the IELTS exam) it was like a walk in the park. Please do remember this took about 3 months for me so i had some time to play with. I am not asking anyone to do this as my technique may not be what will work for you but this was something that seemed to work for me and it definitely helped me with the reading test. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYl9PX7Ua_Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKdZALEoa4o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZGaUdIqSuk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpXQKgygS8I&t=2s For those struggling with the speaking test, the JAM technique was most helpful for me. Till date, i can still speak about irrelevant (lolz) things and stretch the speaking time due to JAM technique. See link below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0qT4cK-wtk&t=401s 18 Likes 7 Shares |

Thank you all so much. My problem is that i was given 15 days to send my passport to Accra but my passport is presently at the UK Embassy. I’m so confused.... |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by ITABABE: 7:38pm On Jan 22, 2018 |
lilyandie:send an email to them with evidence that your passport is with the U.K. Embassy and request for extension |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by mosbiod(m): 7:45pm On Jan 22, 2018 |
lilyandie: I think they usually allow extension is some cases.. if you send them an email with evidences why you can not make the 15days allowed. Some people on this thread have done that before But how long do you think UK will take to release your passport? You can also pay the UK embassy some money for fast track, however, if the UK visa is not so important than your Canadian PR, withdraw your application for the UK visa and get you passport back within 10working days. cc: Cochtrane please advise accordingly. |

Numerous sites and tips advice candidates to keep an eye on the next question for two reasons * The answers may come in very quick succession so you don't miss it. ** To help you monitor the keywords to listen so as to catch up with the audio if you miss a question. hello, please im new here. i finished the ielts and i about to proceed with the eca . from there what nex please .quote author=Canadianfly post=64376611] Na wa. Any how, it's your lucky day....I'm in a Christian mood this night First thing you need to know is if you are eligible for Express Entry - Federal Skilled Worker. Visit the CIC website and to understand more about the Express Entry system. An excerpt from the page below: Express Entry manages applications for three of our key economic immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program Federal Skilled Trades Program Canadian Experience Class If you’re eligible to immigrate under one of these federal immigration programs: we’ll place you in a pool with others who are also eligible we’ll rank you and the others using several factors if you’re a top candidate, you’ll get an Invitation to Apply to a specific program if we invite you to apply, you can apply online for permanent residence Find out what your score could be here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp Once you determine that you can get a reasonable score, go to the British council website and register for the IELTS, also start your ECA (Education Credential Assessment). You have a choice of agencies to choose from. Once you have these two, jump into the pool and wait for ITA. On the real though someone can't explain the process for you in one post. You will have to read the CIC website and this thread to understand the process fully so you don't make mistakes along the way. All the best. [/quote] |

vcole:Thanks for sharing. Some PPA don't pay Corp members. So, I want to assume the stated pay there was the 19k govt pays. Is this correct? If yes, then printing SOA showing the NYSC allowance should suffice as a proof of paid employment? |
