nextstep: No need for rhetoric.... The present unitary system isn't working... It makes states non productive.... How can we be sharing the wealth of a nation based on land mass, population n number of L.G..... It makes no sense.... If states are in control of their own police force, fulani herdsmen wouldn't enter a community and massacre over a thousand at will..... States governors have their own share of the problem but centralisation of power really limits their ability to get things done in their respective states.... Look at how federal policies destroyed the TINAPA project in cross rivers.... F.G ineffectual port policies ensured we have only two fully functional ports in the country both in Lagos leaving the rest redundant ... Look here, so many things are wrong with naija n the fundamental flaw lies in getting almost everything done in Abuja..... That thing called exclusive list must be ripped apart and any state bold enough to take charge should be allowed to chart its own course independently..... There's nothing wrong if states are allowed to keep 100% revenue from farm produce exports.... Don't u think that will motivate governors to do more for agriculture in their respective states...... 4 Likes |

Why not? A simple call for referendum can do it. The president just needs to show leadership. usba: |

blacknp: Yoruba leaders are in apc indeed.... This one is still playing partisan politics.... It's like u dont know what's going on in the country.... We are talking of survival of the soul of the Yoruba race.... This one is thinking along pdp v APC.... In case u dont know, buhari doesn't give a damn about ur apc party.... He already told ghali naaba that u people are nothing but thieves n he'll never accede to APC politicians requests- TINUBU inclusive...... And if u are waiting for buhari to hand over to osibanjo Or tinubu come 2023..... U are in for a rude shock..... Fulani/hausa will never handover to anyone of those guyz.... The treatment meted out to awolowo n abiola is still very much handy today.... U guys never learn from history... And I'm waiting to know where u will hide ur face, if buhari decides to replace osinbajo with okorocha come 2019..... Bunch of greedy n selfish Yoruba youths.... Ready to throw their generations under the bus just for a piece of morsel..... 3 Likes |

Now this is AWA OMO ODU TODA IWA. When we sneeze the whole country shivers have said it before that Kanu's agitation will be a child's play to what will happen when the Yoruba's are tired of these mess playing out in this faulty federation called Nigeria. History has told us that all the problems from civil war, agekoya, wetie all started from SW. So my fellow countrymen we yoruba's have arrived and ready. you know we have the intellect .Jagaban shame on you for further dragging SW to this mess and not being able to pull us out. Eyin agba wa, agba oni tan lorile. E pe fun wa sir. And advice to the remaining elders in the land go and join the group. OBJ has dropped the hint earlier that our union has to be discussed or you think we yoruba's just act on impulse like kanu. One voice, one vote we live or die together that is the spirit of OMO ODU TODA IWA. 1 Like |

usba:poor reading culture. U didn't see where they said they aren't interested in restructuring by the national assembly as the 1999 constitution has been designed to only favour the north? U obviously didn't read it, u were in a hurry to post and get likes. 2 Likes |

yanabasee:both you and usba are stark illiterates. these group is not advocating violence like ipob. all they ate asking for is for the country to aore productive system of governance. check jaideyone. I've been unrepentantly probuhari and anti ipob. I don't support threatening other ethnic groups and calling the country a zoo but the system is not working and we need a change from this money sharing system!!! what is wrong if professors decide to publish ideas to move the country forward in a newspaper? did they in anyway call for violence? their published opinion doesn't stop the NASS from doing their work so why are you exhibiting your ignorance? no matter how you look at it the southwest is 100years ahead of the north in development. you northern illiterates can keep pretending all is well but it's only a matter of time before the teeming illiterate population in the north start the revolution you are busy fighting in the south. when the time comes the unrest will start in the north. your elites will be too busy trying to put the north in order to stop Yorubas and other southerners from leaving the country!!! we all know the region with various diseases, highest poverty rate, highest illiteracy rate and over 20million out of school children!!! the current system doesn't favour anyone. if we are patriots like we claim and we want Nigeria to get better we have to be ready to tell ourselves the truth!!! 1 Like |

zendy: Impossible? Well it's very possible. Note that it's politicians from across the country that are against restructuring. It's deceitful to believe that the north is against restructuring. If all southern politicians agree to restructuring, it's very easy. Let all our senators and hor hold a meeting and agreed on restructuring, then it will be done. |

Good but yorubas are saleouts quote author=CampuChan post=64422279]pÀgbà kìí wà l’ójà k’órí omo tuntun wó Did you see the ad on page 25 of Punch newspapers today? If you didn't, you need to. Yorubas are calling for Restructuring before 2019 elections or they would leave the Federation. Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB were saying the same thing for past few years. Glad SW intellectuals are gradually standing up and please check the number of Professors, Doctors, Architects, SANs, Pastors etc that signed the advert.
|
