OMG ! lol

And the Dividend Yield Award goes to . . . . .

a)
b)
c)

pls help us fill Prof

For those who bought shares from November 2017, dividend yields on your stock are going to be sub 5%. It may still be attractive to you if you annualize considering how long you have held, and how quickly, and at what price you can dispose. My forecast Y/E dividend for some companies are as follows, so over to you guys. Do the yield calcaulations based on your Av. Cost Price:

UCAP - 55k
Afriprud - 50k
UBA - 60k
Zenith - N1.95 - N2.00
Fidelity - 18k - 22k
FCMB - 10k
Sterling Bank - 0k
Diamond - 0k - 10k
Access - 50k
FBNH - 15k
Eterna - 50k
Transcorp - 5k
DangSugar - N1
Nascon - 80k
Danflour - 0k

These figures are strictly my personal opinion from proprietary calculation and forecast, and not supported by any inside information. It is also not an invitation to buy/sell in anticipation of predicted dividends.

Bottom Line: Be clear on why you are buying each share.

In the first place, which goodnews/results propelled FCMB from N1.00 to above N3.00? Veitva's recommendation? Do you know if CP wrote those Vetiva's recommendation?

Vetiva does not know better. They can revise their recommendations as many times as desired within the year.

Some call it pullback.
Some prefer retracement.
Some insist on bear.
Some still say it is correction.

All point to one conclusion, there was excessive greed involved!

Elders here were so kind to us.
They told us to be long or reduce.
They even alerted us when we were encroaching on enemy's territory.
CP bodly drew a line on the ground on a war front not minding been hit by enemy fire.
At a time, we felt it was because he was left behind.
Each day we learn.

I will add that the next rally will sharply reverse close to the last peak in those stocks that rallied into madness.
Reason: There is a proverb in my language that goes thus: When a blind man is frying groundnuts and the first batch is burnt, he usually remove the second batch before it is fully cooked....

Fidelity is now using fuel inside reserve tank (Fundamentals).
I think they burnt their top gaskets. One of the dangers of over-revving an engine running on adulterated roadside oil. cheesy

Decent dividend?

If GTB EPS is 6, however much do you think they will pay as dividend?

N3 is 6% at current price. This will be a record.

Then go to other stocks. Some no go even pay at all sef. Some we never see results for some years.

When the tide is down, we will see those that had been swimming unclad.

I doubt GTB will pay up to N3 full year div. They revved up interim from 25k to 30k last year. I see full year div in the region of N2 - N2.10. More likely the lower band.

I still believe those billions of units of transcorp bought at 2.27 will not be sold at a loss.

At least it hasnt showed in the volumes sold after that very day.

25% profit must be made

You will start seeing full bid by monday.

Dont let anything make you to sell your Transcorp.
If Transcorp fails to pay dividend, the consolidations alone will carry it up.
If they manage to pay 5kobo,shareholders will hail them and grab more of the shares.
2018 is the year of Transcorp. It is a different stock from fcmb/diamond bank.Dont let the sharp fall in those stocks bother you much.Just do as if you no see the bears.I have told you now.I will still remind of this post sometime in 2018.

Other stocks you can put your money around June/july are: wapco, ccnn, dangote cem, julius berger.

Reasons:As the election is approaching, there will be contracts and comissioning of road projects by politicians. You should know the effect of such news on cement companies.Hear this now
