So you were at the meetings with Conte and the board and knew exactly who Conte did and did not ask for....

From my records, Chelsea signings are allocated as such:

Luiz - Roman

Batsuayi - Emenalo
Rudiger - Emenalo

Kante - Conte (but only after the club refused to spend £40m on a 29 year-old run-run player Naingollan)
Bakayoko - (Strongly Conte)
Morata - (Conte, albeit 2nd choice behind Lukaku)
Zappacosta - (Conte, albeit 3rd choice behind Walker and Ox)

Alonso - (Club - Unallocated, but not Conte)
Drinkwater - (Club - Unallocated, but not Conte)
Barkley - (Club - Unallocated, but not Conte)

He that will come to equity must come with clean hands. The club may be bad with transfers, but Conte is just as bad.

Conte should tell us which innovative sub-£40m player he has recommended, not Ronaldo and Messi. The worst transfer of the lot belongs to Conte.

What i read in the past was that, the coach would submit his list and club will check and decide who to buy and sometimes would replace with players they believe are within their financial grasp.

When they asked mou about djilobodji, he said he was told he was a good player to buy. If you think all those that joined chelsea in the last window, were suggested by conte, that you are wrong. That conte remained silent since, doesn't mean he was part of the problem. You don't expect him to turn down replacements approved by his superiors, i mean those that threw his list in the bin. We heard that he wanted to resign, now we know the story was true and the reasons for such decision.

Conte is forced to use those average players that the clubs believe will do the same job of
on conte's list, at a good price.

When matic wanted to go and he was asked about him, he said, ask the club. He is not a fool to drop the blame on the club's door step.

If emenalo didn't reveal conte's first choice, lordfalcao and some clueless people would still think, conte preferred morata to lukaku from the onset.

I will like to know how you got to know bakayoko and zappa, are mainly his suggestions.

I am of the same opinion as you have stated above, however no one will deny that the worst transfer of them all, Bakayoko belongs to Conte. You only have to see Conte talk on Bakayoko vs Chalobah, and follow the 6 months build-up to Bakayoko signing, plus Contes incessant praise, and playing of Bakayoko, plus Contes history on gigigba central midfielders of limited technique such as Naingollan, Marco Parolo and Vidal to know this is is a Conte signing.

If the club is bad, we must have proof that Conte is better within that price range. Conte is clueless within that price range.

Do you need to sit in board meeting to know that Blind is a Van-Gaal signing while Herrera, although signed during Van Gaal tenure is inherited from David Moyes. Those who follow their club well will know some things.

The signs were there that those 2 players were actually wanted by the club! Moyes had initially tried and failed in his first season to get herrera while van gaal openly showed a preference for dharmian. Even Joses stance during the sanchez saga showed he was confident that the glazers were behind his choice!

This una man never seems to fully endorse any signing even in press conferences so it's hard to believe he really has any say last last! That woman in the board room seems to be the puppet master and takes abramovichs wallet into consideration when making decisions rather than contes wishes! Is dzeko really the best target man you guys could acquire presently? By the way he wanted lukaku.....he was angry that the club did not sign him!

your records are irrelevant unless you can categorically tell us that you have a guy inside the club feeding you info, or point us to an interview where Emenalo or Conte or whoever comes out to say "i signed this guy"

if you're reading daily fail or daily hoaxpress newspaper, and using their speculation as the basis of your list, then that's a foul.

Conte didnt even expect Bakayoko to see 1st team shirt when the boy signed for us. Conte never played Zappacosta for Italy despite playing a wingback system here. he's still being benched for moses now

so if none of these guys were in Conte's 1st choice plans, whats the proof that he was the one that signed them? Especially with the way the man has been denouncing transfer policy every chance he gets..

now that Emenalo don go, una wan sharply turn conte to the new scapegoat.

Exactly, Moyes wanted Herrera, but he only signed during Van Gaal tenure, while Van Gaal pushed for Blind and got him. Someone who follows the club will not need to sit in board meeting to know that Blind is a Van Gaal boy given their past history, similarly if Van Gaal had treated Herrera in a suspect way, you will not need board meeting to know that is a club signing not Van Gaal signing.

Just like when Bakayoko stink every game, yet Conte play him and praise him, claim he is much better than Chalobah etc, then continuously treat Drinkwater in a different manner, you will not need a seance to know Bakayoko is a Conte signing but Drinkwater is not.

When you then read that Batsuayi was the only player afforded to Emenalo last season, and you see Conte treating him in a funny manner, you will not need board meeting to know Batsuayi is not a Conte signing.

Go and read press conference of Bakayoko vs Chalobah, and you will know which signings had his approval. All this complaint is about Drinkwater, Barkley and co, not Bakayoko. When he is asked about Bakayoko, he will be nothing but effervescent in his praise.

Conte gave Zappacosta his Italy debut. Conte named Zappacosta in his provisional Euros squad. Of course you should know Italys 1st choice righback is Antonio Candreva, another 29 year old player that Conte has been pursuing for Chelsea to the tune of £40m since his first day in the job. Just like all Contes recommendations (Naingollan, Vidal), they are all 29 years old and cost upward of £40m.

Conte signed Zappacosta and Bakayoko as backups to Matic and Moses respectively. He cannot deny them anymore than Pep can deny Nolito who he signed as backup. They don't need to be 1st choice for you to know they are Conte signings just like Nolito is a Pep signing as backup. If Conte did not rate Zappacosta at all, he would have him nowhere near Italy team.

Conte played several players at RWB for italy particularly in Euro2016 - Darmian and Florenzi both played there, i think even Giacherrini. i doubt Candreva played RWB more than any of those players. i find it hard to believe that he would lgnore those players and go and sign Zappacosta who he never even played as Italy boss.

so unless you're linking zappacosta to conte because they share the same passport, i dont understand where the confidence to say Zappacosta is a conte signing is coming from.

Conte clearly did not expect to sell Matic or expect Bakayoko to see 1st team shirt. so i dont know why you can say with confidence that Yoko was requested by Conte.

remember you also said Conte is the one that wanted to sign Andy Caroll. the next day the man said he has nothing to do with club transfers.

why would he denounce the club if the club was moving for a player he wanted?

Chelsea: How the transfer recruitment process works

By Bryan Swanson, Chief News Reporter

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has often referred to "the club" when asked who signs new players at Stamford Bridge.

So how does the transfer recruitment process work in west London?

Our chief news reporter Bryan Swanson examines the transfer structure in place.

Who are "the club"?

Player strategy is set by Conte, but only in agreement with club director Marina Granovskaia. She is responsible for player transactions and has a wider brief, including overseeing the academy and scouting structure, following the departure of Michael Emenalo last November.

Has Emenalo's departure affected the club this month?

He never had sole control over new transfers, the structure did not allow for it. He worked alongside Granovskaia, a trusted advisor to owner Roman Abramovich, who became involved in Chelsea transfer activity just under a decade ago. Chelsea have yet to replace Emenalo, like for like, and may well be considering another model.

Who has the final say on buying new players?

The transfer sign-off is Conte to Granovskaia to Abramovich. A final financial decision lies with the owner, with Granovskaia in charge of negotiations. Abramovich's involvement is generally to consider the plan and targets and give them the green light. It is his money, after all, and it is safe to say he has more knowledge of deals being done in each window than some other Premier League club owners. But we are told he does not personally get involved in the specifics of deals or negotiations.

So Granovskaia is the most powerful figure at Stamford Bridge, aside from Abramovich?

On transfers, yes, in terms of finalising new deals. She is one of a three-person club board, which also includes Bruce Buck and Eugene Tenenbaum. Generally speaking they would not be involved on individual transfers. But that is not to say the board are never involved.

Does the structure work?

The system ensures a manager does not have complete control over everything behind the scenes. Chelsea will point to the fact that, since 2009, they have won the Premier League and FA Cup three times, the Champions League, Europa League and EFL Cup.

Never mind if he entered pitch or not. Conte called up Zappacosta in May 2016 and named him in 30 man provisional squad for Euro 2016. Conte later cut the provisional squad to 26 players naming Zappacosta among the 3 reserves. So Conte cannot divorce himself from Zappacosta.

Zappacosta is even the most circumstantial link. The strongest link is Bakayoko.

This is why you need to do your research. I read an interview with Bakayoko where he said Conte tracked him as a youngster since Juventus days. Conte even went with Emenalo in 2016 to scout Bakayoko in UCL match with Spurs, Bakayoko even said Conte called him on the phone to convince him, now you want to deny Bakayoko for Conte like Peter.

Nihilist:

What of Vidal who said Conte wants him or Mendy who said Conte wanted him but he wanted to work with Guardiola. Are those interviews not on wax?

The club is very bad on transfers, but Conte is no better.

Name one inspiring signing Conte has been linked with for a reasonable price. Just one player under £40m that Conte has been linked with that will inspire you as a fan, not 30 year old players and unreasonable requests. Klopp signed Salah and Sane each for less than the price of Bakayoko. He brought Andrew Robertson for £12m while Conte would not get the message that Sandro is beyond Chelsea's reach.

Lord knows I am the first to defend Chelsea managers and blame the club on transfers but nothing Conte has ever suggested for Chelsea makes sense financially, talentwise or age wise. He just keeps suggesting nonsense that inspires no confidence that he watches football and can scout players well.

Some of us do our research well. Anytime I come across relevant information on Chelsea transfer business I file it in my brain. I don't need to be in board meeting to know that Emenalo has been tracking Rudiger since 2014, and when Mourinho was at loggerhead with the club in 2015 insisting they sign John Stones, Emenalo recommended that he should manage Rudiger instead. Mourinho was so stubborn about John Stones that Roma swooped in for Rudiger while Mourinho was opposing the move. The club continued negotiations with Everton but Everton wouldn't budge on their price, and the only person available in that last week was Djilobolodji. For the record, Aldeweireld was the 2nd person Emenalo recommended instead of John Stones but Jose was stubborn on John Stones.

So when Ibime tell you in 2018 that Rudiger is an Emenalo boy, know there is years of research and long memory that went into that statement. Before I started speaking on Emenalo in 2012, I had been tracking his influence since 2010. I don't just wake up to yarn loosely.

No matter how you want to absolve 'the club' of our present situation, the monster will still rear its ugly head. Thunder must fire emenalo for signing rudiger for chelsea. I won't watch barca - chelsea, once i see that kpon kpon defender in the line up.

In your previous post, you claimed conte brought kante to chelsea, that alone trounced every good signing the club did for us during the period under review. Missing out on lukaku and forcing conte to fall back on a striker, always having a back pain every month, is appalling. Not to talk of signing players who were match rusty.

It's on record that conte never wanted matic to go, i know you like him, just like conte. Who allowed him to go? 'The club'. Yet we should blame conte for all these.

Those 'old' and experienced players that you claimed conte wanted, may look old to you, but if conte could use luiz' experience to win epl, no one can tell what he would have done with those you condemned. We can only deal with what is in our front.

Conte signed Morata for Juve and even called the boy and his father when he was at Madrid to ask him if he would come to Chelsea- Morata said this himself

Despite this, Emenalo came out last month and confirmed that Lukaku was the man Conte wanted.

Rudiger actually stated that Conte was the reason he came to Chelsea - but here you are saying he is an Emenalo signing

so all this one you're posting does not mean anything. At any given time a club could be in secret negotiations with tens if not hundreds of players.Bakayoko alone was reportedly talking to Arsenal, Manyoo and Chelsea at the same time

so the only fact of the matter, is that you are doing a lot of speculating.

you are reading articles where the journalist is already reporting second hand or third hand information, and coming here to claim it is fact.

Thats why a day after you said Conte wanted Andy Carroll, Conte came out to say his hand no dey for transfer.

Unless you're inside the club, or can quote someone at the table, you cannot claim to know who signed who. That one is a foul.

I am not absolving the club. I have been a longstanding critic of the way Romans court is run, however let Conte tell the full story. He is not totally blameless, after all the signing I most have a problem with, Bakayoko, is under his name.

Also understand that the way the club runs now has changed. If the manager comes with a reasonable transfer request that fits the clubs budget and age profile, it will be granted. This is not 2012 where the manager will be asking for central midfielder and the club will ignore him.

Ask yourself, is there any reasonable player under the age of 27 that Conte has asked for within the clubs budget? He asked for Bakayoko, 22 years old, £40m, the club granted him. Kante, 25 years old, £33m, the club granted him.

If he asked for Salah at £38m, Sane at £35m, Wijnaldum at £25m, Maguire at £17m, Robertson at £12m, even Mahrez at £45m, he will never be denied.

What the club is doing is signing players in that bracket and doing so poorly cos Conte does not have requests in that bracket, only Naingollan, Vidal, Sandro etc. What Conte should be doing is helping the club identify players in that bracket, not suggesting unreasonable players in a different bracket, then complaining when the club makes poor signing in the £40m bracket he neglected.

We are not asking Conte to do anything special. If he read Nairaland in summer, he would have got some of these suggestions.

Nihilist:

Conte signed Morata for Juve and even called the boy and his father when he was at Madrid to ask him if he would come to Chelsea- Morata said this himself

Despite this, Emenalo came out last month and confirmed that Lukaku was the man Conte wanted.

Not getting your first choice is no excuse to absolve yourself of your 2nd choice.

Conte submits list of:

1. Lukaku
2. Morata

We bid for Lukaku and failed, he gets Morata.

So that gives him right in press conference to absolve himself and claim he has no hand in transfers?

Going by that logic, I will soon disown the car I'm driving since my first choice was Bugatti. I had no hand in the purchase of this useless car.

Hazard will leave this club

Imagine playing with Bakayoko, Zappacosta, new signings that are totally demoralising like Drinkbleach, Barkley, signing likes of Palmieri just returning from ACL, buying 32 year old Dzeko, bidding for Carroll etc.

If I'm Hazard, thunder will fire my father if I don't leave this useless club.

Bwahaahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Whenever Chelsea loses, thread catches fire, perhaps Jose should come and add water to the fire
