I have been making use of the internet for info about the program. Quora, Student room UK and E+ Facebook thread has been helpful so far. I hope we can do more here, by sharing tips and experiences so far with our application. Good to be here

I don't use Facebook, stopped using for over a year now. But since you've mentioned there is a E+ page there, I might have to reactivate my account. How is it over there? Helpful?

I've sent my application to the (max) 3 programmes of my choosing. MEME, EMPlant and PlantHealth.

All of them are getting back to preselected applicants in February.

I was required to pay an application fee of 30Euro, both in the two programs I have interest in. Did you pay any such application fee?

I did not pay an application fee for any of the programmes I applied to. Besides I never knew EMJMD applications required application fees.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Yeah....some programs do require payment of app. fee. However, this is exclusive to the program and has nothing to do with the Erasmus+ scholarship body.

Of course we are required to apply through the participating/partner institutions, in which case, the institutions I happen to like their program requested for the application fee b4 submission, of which I declined . Or did you not apply through the partnering institutions?

Exactly!.. So if one happens to choose such program, s/he will have to pay the required application fee as a prerequisite kinda...

I get that now. I guess I am lucky that no programme of my choosing had varsities in their consortium requiring application fees..

For Nigerian, you need to first take it to the ministry of education and ministry of foreign affair after their legalisation, you will then apply for legalisation at Belgian embassy. I think it is around 20 euros.

Congrats on that milestone, fellow GoT fan.

What programme did you apply for? Their timeline is quite speedy. Most programmes I know will still receive applications till the end of this month.

would like to know if any state branch of both ministries can fix the required certification or i need to go to abuja.


process seems to be abit tedious.

I believe now that applying early enough can be a factor.

You didn't mention the specific one that selected you among the three.

You just have to go to Abuja to get the ministries for certification.

After the deadline, representatives from all the consortiums come together to narrow this list down. Most times, interviews are conducted and scores awarded to finally decide from the narrowed list. The names are then sent to EU for approval.

The first stage of being qualified is done by the coordinating university. everyone who is qualified to gain admission is written to as some people will want to proceed as self funded student. It is this list of eligible candidates that the reps now further work on. The Reps are the ones who decide. The Eu just approves the names

Application windows closed last night for the programmes I applied to. I suppose it is the same for most programmes.

Now we wait. I am antsy already.

I understand how you feel mine would close on March 5, but sometimes I ask myself if I am doing it right.
