Nimi22:Hmmmm. She later pooped another small one last night, but I hope it ends there. I'm still watching it sha. And then I noticed yesterday she started this dry cough like something is lodged in her throat that she wants to remove. Which kind thing be this na? My aunt once said something about not eating biscuits when I gave birth. That it would chook my baby's belle. Now I'm wondering and replaying all I ate yesterday whether it's the biscuits I ate that's causing the cough? I'm going to get drugs for her this morning. |

Did she take Rota? it happened to my baby, nurse said it could be immediate reaction from the Rota (which is normal). Since it's just one loose stool it's fine. Watch what happens today and take it from there Anugod: 1 Like |

I'm sure other mamas have advised, only thing I want to say is, if you choose to go the formula route don't "switch" to formula, supplement with formula. Still give him mainly breastmilk but top up with formula Also the fact that your other boob lets down milk when hes feeding happens to everybody whether your supply is high or low. Needing pads as well, those are not the determinants of heavy flow, express and see As for the crying it's probably colic, search colic on this thread to see how other mamas managed but don't give your baby agbo oh curvilicious: 1 Like |

Fattamyfattamy: Please don't give him the eye drops, you can get penicillin ophthalmic ointment to be applied under the eyelid. It's suitable for babies that should clear it up if it's caused by the harmattan Dust. Also give him vit c, If the discharge reoccurs after a day or two take him to the hospital. My ds had the same symptoms and after applying the ointment cleared up the next day. |

Fattamyfattamy:I wouldn't put anything into a baby's eyes without a Paediatrician (not even GP) prescription. Eyes are delicate organ, Once damaged. . . Take your child to a paed 2 Likes |

hunniesuzie:No rota o, except they miraculously injected it alongside the other two injections, lol. I'm thinking it was the Pepsi. I usually dilute soft drinks before taking because of her, or take in sips over a period. But that yesterday I was so hungry I didn't know when I swallowed a whole bottle. She pooped 3 times yesterday all together, but none today yet. I was really worried cos she usually poos like once in 3-5 days before yesterday. And maybe it's just my eyes, but seems she has lost weight already I trust she's getting better now sha |

Curvilicious: Welcome to the thread, you'd be fine. Since MIL is aged, just let her do small small baby duty, like leave the baby for her when you want to take a short nap or cook or wash, let her bath baby too, that's how it worked with my MIL cuz of age. You can also get one of your little sisters or cousins to live with you on the long run. Ifyalways: Hi Glam-ma. good morning mamas, pls I have a little problem I don't know how to handle with my dd.. from when she was 4 months old she has refused taking her formular, I started making pap and mixing with the formular, she took it for 4 days and refused to take it again, I'm afraid of changing the milk because the last time I changed it from NAN to SMA she pooped a lot..now I give cow and gate rice cereal she still won't take it but she eats rice ooo, fufu with draw soup, banana, she would suck on cabin biscuits till she has taken more than half of it and drinks tea with her elder brother..then she is always attached to my breast especially at night, we both sleep with the nipples in her mouth and it affects me because I hardly sleep in the night and find it hard waking up early in the morning... how do I tackle this her not eating issue, anybody knows any food tht a 5 months old baby would love very much? she is 5 month nd about 2weeks... cc zayine Liftedhands Chanbaby Giddyperson and all other sabi mamas |

katchycouture:Some babies, prefer local food. One of my kids, rejected all the conventional baby foods.Eating only jollof rice(no vegetables), pounded yam or fufu with draw soup only, no noodles, beans, banana and groundnut.I weaned with bananas at night.Just make sure the food is nutritionally dense and she will be fine especially at evening meals.take care. |
