What Plan? Ph.D. or Undergrad? Anyways, you don't need to do three-year insurance, a year is okay.

Hello everyone! Please, what minimum amount am I to hold in an account for a Ph.D. student going to SA.

Secondly, I am using another person's account for my SOA. I hope this is acceptable. He is a friend. Must I be related by blood to him to use his account?

Thirdly, Is there a fast track visa application in Lagos? Anyone with answers, please?

Answers, please?

Thanks Bro I really appreciate

Well, for M.sc Computer Studies (Research), my best advise in terms of fees and funding opportunity at this time is the University of Fort Hare in Alice, Eastern Cape. you could occasionally visit East London ( The city closest to Alice) for naija foods etc.

It's a nice place and you will get funding. But, my advise is to apply early. They are needing candidates at this time who fit in their areas of Research interest. And, their fees are quite reasonable and living expenses is minimal.

I logged in to the students portal at the university of Johannesburg to check my status, I saw INTERNATIONAL PG ADMITTED on my first choice status description. Is it that I have been admitted? I'm kind of confused since there is no admission letter as regards to it.

Hello house,

I booked a Kenya Airways ticket to Johannesburg, while coming back we will have a layover of 9hrs55mins at Nairobi Airport. My question is should I apply for a Kenyan transit visa and possibly leave the airport till the next flight?

Will they immigration allow that, meanwhile, the layover is 10pm till 8am next day.

you do not need a transit visa rather you can apply for a visit visa which will cost you $50 right inside nairobi airport.

compcare is cheaper than momentum, just do 1year medical aid cover and apply for your visa. But if you can afford momentum go for it (R4,400) to show the embassy you have enough money to cover your study at SA. Even those i know doing 3years PhD also did 1year medical cover and they got their visa. Make everything snappy and submit your visa.

I hope these helped.
