I like that striker that promises goals even outside the eighteen yards box, they are my typical striker bkus they have huge predatory instinct hence make keepers shiver whenever they have the ball on their feet, every movement of theirs' make some keepers (such as Akpeyi, almunia etc) wet their underwears prematurely out of fear. That's what KC is turning out to be. I'm impressed. U don't have to be inside the box before u can score.

Ndidi has a strong left foot oo, who else saw that first shot and the second (the goal) also?

That is if he gets to start in the next EPL game sef.... sad

But shaa... it should not be overblown. wink He is one of our golden boys no doubt hence the big views this thread gets any time it is "Nacho time". grin

His overall involvement in play was really excellent today. I don't think Puel would be willing to let go of him this January.

He has always been my first choice CF for the world cup.

I hope he and Iwobi would continue to improve on their games as we approach the world cup. V. Moses, Iwobi and Iheanacho would be our major weapons of destruction and of course with the big man Mikel pushing those dangerous touches towards them.

I saw their first game against Tanzania live at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin.

Rashidat, Ijamilusi and a girl that wore number 7 were just too good.

Imo(hope I am not mistaken her identity) is a big striker but not really so smart or sharp. I hope she doesn't battle weight problems too soon.

Overall a good team. I expect Omidiji to be drafted in now since they have qualified. I am not suggesting an automatic shirt but the coaches need to give her a fair chance just like they did for Courtney Dike.
besides...where is Courtney Dike...?
yeah I agree wit on Omidiji besides that girl getting to play for us...will help in our approach in getting his younger brother in our ranks..

gonna be difficult...if you look closely there is always a strong biase towards english players in the epl ......

Bros it's not about bias, Verdy is their number one striker one of the best in the league, so why should Nacho bench him?

I have said this before....letting go of nancho gonna be the most stupid thing Leicester management will ever do...

he can go on loan but not outright sale...that boy is a finisher...a lad wit an eye for goals always....

the problem is the English kid in the CF role...few coaches have the guts to bench English players in their team even when they're tired or not playing well.

For where?

I don't think any media outfit aired the game.

You may just get one captured by an individual's amateur footage.

No Leicester coach would play Iheanacho ahead of Vardy. Vardy is that good. Not because he is English.

I did...and that is past now.

we are now living in the present...
Martins really benefited from playing time at inter milian coupled wit the opportunity to play wit season players like Adriano, stankovic, recoba etc....
nancho I see in the eyes of Rashidi yekini...a lethal finisher....

they're days he plays otherwise or even when he is tired....

some of this coaches rationality should be questioned....why shouldn't musa even get a few minutes combo appearance against a low side they played today....

I quite agree with you Chief. That south African team we beat are actually very good. Really surprised we reached 6-0 sef. I was expecting a win but not 6-0. Mehn...the girls really went into another gear today oooo. Rasheedat is the next biggest star from Nigerian women football but that IMO and Ijamilusi look like really special talents too.

How about this Sophia Omidiji girl?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 8:24pm On Jan 27, 2018
Yes, he did have a fine game on the overall. Even nailed an 82% passing accuracy in the final third.

Puel already said he is not sending Nacho out on loam this January that he needs him and will possibly give him more gametime this second half of the season. Well, I am looking forward to it and hope he is not just restricting Nacho to Cup games.

For the World Cup, I still feel Ighalo is our first choice go to Russia. And he is Rohr's first choice too but depending on the formation employed, we could see Nacho start too like in a 3-5-2. It all depends on tactics now to determine who starts and who sits on the bench but on the overall, I still feel Ighalo is first choice. Nacho is next in line.

And yes, Iwobi, VicMoses, And Iheanacho are super keys to the Super Eagles attack... with a Mikel behind them. I know what you are thinking. wink

I know how much you are loving the melody you hear when you imagine the music produced by the Mikel behind Iwobi-Iheanacho-Moses combo... cheesy

See ehn... if we want to see Nacho, Iwobi and Moses together in the attack all at once with Mikel from midfield... then we can only propose a proper 4-3-3 with Mikel as parr of a midfield three and the front line being a fluid one of Iwobi-Iheanacho-VicMoses.

Or it could be a 4-3-1-2... like a 4-3-3 variant. Here the top two would be Iwobi and Iheanacho as false 9s. Victor Moses as the man in a free role behind them as that "1" and Mikel, Ndidi and one other (Ogu/Onazi likely) as the three CMs with one of the CM being much more defensive minded ofcos, keeping that shape in front of the back four.

It all depends... but in a 4-2-3-1, Ighalo starts. In a 4-5-1, Still Ighalo. In a 4-4-2... well time will tell really... we got options shaa. Hopefully they all stay fit till then.

Really don't know of Coach Danjuma's plans to invite her yet. But again... she is June born 1997. Does that not make her ineligible even if Coach Danjuma has plans to invite her?

But she is still available for Nigeria though. She reps us nicely and always on twitter. Doing well in Holland with Excelsior. I hope Dennerby give her a look in.

As if he did anything when he was appointed coach in 2002.

Not trying to be disrespectful.

He was totally responsible for player selection and tactics in 2002 and yet he messed up.

Still, even though personal improvement is....Well personal, NFF should try and subsidize trainings (home and abroad) for the most talented local coaches

I think the no.7 is Peace Efih... not sure shaa. Hopefully with Dennerby on the job, our Super Falcons attack and midfield will he looking ultra competitive by the time chances (for some) and recalls are given to Umotong, Sophia, Dike and more. Even this Toni Payne lady needs to be nabbed mehn... I know we got Oshoala, Oparanozie, Ordega, but every fine team always need a super bench too.

After playing all our group games our current rankings points is about 30+ below the previous month's. The draw against Rwanda did the damage. We didn't gain much points from beating Libya and E. Guinea because they are poorly ranked teams.

You gain good points when you beat a team ranked above you.

This is a fallacy else the team on the top cannot retain that position for long and the Top 10 would be in flux which has not been the case
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 8:36pm On Jan 27, 2018
Nacho cannot match Vardy's tireless running naa. Vardy's work rate trumps Nacho for now. That is the truth. Nothing about being English here.

Vardy is like a speedy sports car but Nacho is like a sleek ride that is not so fast but just graceful to watch and handle.

Ehhh Dad, he did give Enyeama his big break though. And we all enjoyed that for the next 12 years+... wink He also introduced Osaze to the national team... Onigbinde remains one of the worst who handled our team but I just have this knack for spotting one good thing even in the midst of so much horrors... wink

But yea.. apart from those two, well maybe I can shut up now and step aside... looolll... Onigbinde was indeed annoying at that WC and also is almost always dropping negative comments and acting as an unrepentant critic.

Against Derby in the FA CUP too... hey wait a minute!! shocked what is it with Ndidi and hitting left footers in FA CUP encounters? Lemme send Yara Yara to investigate this mystery with the Mystery machine crew led by Scooby Doo grin

Onigbinde should stop living in the past. What used to work in football during his time no longer work anymore. Anyone listening to him would think wow, this man is an oracle. He should take his eyes off football and maybe go into politics for his state. I am sure his constituency will find a good use for him.

Quite frankly , i just think he is trying to be relevant in a world that has left him behind, hence every comment on NFF. On the issue of home based coaches in the moulds of our ex internationals, has anyone ever asked why they never bring their wealth of experience to coach local clubsides ? It always the super eagles that is their dream job and what do they do when they get there? Operation Retirement Benefit Plans. When was the last time our clubsides actually qualified for as little as the Caf Champions League finals? Or Caf confederations cup finals? What is NFF supposed to do? Give mediocre coaches more chances to keep displaying their mediocrity? And when things go south, same people will say NFF hasnt done a good job in the hiring process. The day we have a coach that can parade a clubside team that can beat lowly rated swansea city, then we can start talking.

What is it sef? Development of a coach who intends to land a top quality job now rests with the NFF? Which kain package be dat? So it can look like a win-win situation? Who needs the development more? Ok o! Make dem dey wait.....
