origima:For what? A god that couldn't prevent rapists from raping its worshippers now grows teeth when those same worshippers dispose off its weak as's? Why aren't these gods still acting up in foreign lands or their powers don't operate in other continents but can track bloodlines? |

OneCorner:Stop this inferiority complex. There's no evidence to that, and as long as that is the case, I am an Igbo. The Jews have no special genes. They only choose to do better under choking policies against them. Stop belittling your people by thinking that wishing you are some other is an added advantage. This is a mental prison. We are all homosapiens and can achieve anything. When people create asylum systems to trap you, you shouldn't fund their project. Be Igbo and proud. 7 Likes 1 Share |

ShootToKill: 1. How did you come about 2800 year old? 2. Why couldn't the 'old deity' save itself/themselves? 3. How do you differentiate between fearful folks, hardworking folks, lazy folks and folks comfortable with status quo in your 'mud house ' analogy? 4. Have you ever come across the term 'placebo effect '? |

MightySparrow:The most ignorant are those who are oblivious of their plight and think they know everything, Puffed up with self indulgent speciousness Those translations are totallyoff Nothing to do with white folk. What is African stupidity? Why the self loathing there are no peoples that don't have these.None.That you don't understand them doesn't justify your using them as a canvas to project your low self esteem? It is really funny how the most ignorant have the most certainty about their bizarre assertions. Proceed from a place of intellectual curiosity and you will learn. There is nothing magical about a sculpture. It does not have the power to prevent colonisation any more than a painting or a poetry. They are forms of communication eternally, to whom it may concern, from one evolved mind to another. They are not for every one. Pearls are not for swine 4 Likes |

omonnakoda: The stuff one reads on nl sometimes I wonder if anybody have any pride of being African These at best are our our cultural artifacts. Granted they were items of worship of a religion on a decline But must we erase our identity in favour of a 'sanitized' foreign religion? It is insane One of those things is just a kings staff 3 Likes |

LZAA:I don't agree with everything in the bible. Gods worked but they watched as Africa was decimated by rednecks? They watched our tongues changed but did nothing about it. They watched our brothers sold but did nothing. They watched the evil forests desecrated but did nothing. They watched another God take over their lands but did nothing. They watched the soul of our race taken away but did nothing. But because they were sold they had to attack the bloodlines. I'm beginning think the gods didn't live in those artifacts but in our heads. 2 Likes |

buffalowings:I am not an advocate of anything foreign. There is simply no need to be disrespectful. First those translations were wrong Second I don't care what white folk think of me as long as they do it with their own minds when other black folk are inadvertently recruited to talk about African stupidity, vanity etc then it rankles. I really do not know what your point is honestly, that is if you have one. Quite how we arrived at the impotence of God's in the face of invaders is a mystery Funny Yorubas? How are we funny? Funnier than whom? |

LZAA:That's true but those Gods are overrated. I think if they exist, whichever one, has a personal selfish and man is just the slave to achieve it. Maybe some selfish extraterrestrials in some exo planet playing with their heads. If they had such power over lives then technology, any one, will just be like a 2 year old kicking you. You can't have power to ruin the lives of worshippers but have no power to ruin the life of those ruining them. That's what bullshi't sounds like. |
