from what i learn from X-patrio you can open the N26 account in nigeria and they are cheaper and easy to work with |

@Metabolite01, Nice one. That's what I always advice people. Don't loose more while trying to save a token. @Abimbola2018, Do as advised. When I initiated mine at Zenith Bank Head Office, it took just 4 days to complete all transactions. @roblance, You can apply for student visa from UK if you have all the required documents and money. Check the website of the German embassy in UK for details @dailydolar, @heybaby12, N26 is a current account and can't be used as blocked account. Someone wrote a review about them some pages back and yes, they are really cool. I use N26. Yes, X-patrio is new but since its already on the consulate's website, that means they are approved. And they are 40€ cheaper than Fintiba. So check your options and use them if you wish to save 40€.  Good luck to everyone pushing his/her German dream. We await your arrivals. trojrobert: I don't know about daad, but my school told me the following: Please note that our scholarship is funded by government funds which means that you should have access to accelerated visa processing due to "Zustimmungsbefreiung" of the local authorities (the Embassy will know what this means). So I guess all scholarship for which funds are sourced from the government will be processed in an accelerated manner. When did your friend get her visa? |

Hi all, Please what is the validity period of the visa. I understand that it’s usually 3 months and then you obtain your Residence Permit. But Say for instance My 1st semester begins April 10. Will it be possible for my to go to Germany by March 10 ( a month prior)? What’s the typical validity on the visa. Is the visa only valid from 1 week to the beginning of the semester? Please anyone in Germany or with their visa yet to travel should please respond. Thank you |

Bola95: The visa is valid from the date written on the visa. The embassy (Nigeria) gives 3 or 6 months visa. You then extend it prior to the end of the validity at your foreign office in Germany. Normally, when they are about to issue you visa in Nigeria, you will be asked your intended date of travel and other things. The date your semester begins may not necessarily be the date that your visa begins to count. The date your visa begins to count is majorly dependant on the date you did your visa interview and how fast the embassy processes your application. You can not travel before the validity of your visa. |

Hallo Alle, One thing is getting me stock, I hope I can get calm succour and advice here. I had an average CGPA (German grade of 2.55). Due to the competitive nature of German university, I am planning going for another Bachelors degree. My Fear is that I am mid 30 already, I don't know if my age wouldn't pose a red-flag at the embassy. Secondly, is there any one my age bracket that has done this? If yes, how do you navigate through the embassy's interview? I am planning applying for Bsc as plan B, though I had applied for MSc also. Kind regards for your anticipated response. |
