Hello to the great folks in this house, I want to ask those who have been living in the US about buying a car. I saw one Ad on facebook for a 2003 Nissan Murano going for $2500 with mileage of 198k. The owner says the only repair issues i need to do is a tune up and new tires.

Do you think it will be wise to go for such?

Thanks

I heard that model is terrible. You don't want to be driving on the street and the car broke apart while you're still holding the steering wheel.

Or do you?

Hello guys, please i need your opinion. I got an admission into Virginia International University to study masters in public administration and i have a bsc in mass communication. And i was supposed to resume jan 15th, but the admission came in late and I couldn’t meet up with getting a date for my interview. [s]So i asked for a deferral for May session[/s]. Now my question is does Anyone here know about the school and how good the school is? And hope i wont be having issues concerning the change of course at the embassy?? Will be waiting for a reply thanks in advance.

That part alone is your lucky ..... Don't fail him.

No interview yet is far better than a denial.

Hello all. Im currently rounding up my nursing pre requisites at a cc. Hoping to transfer to a bsn program in fall 2018. Of recent, ive been looking up job prospects and opt for f1 students. It seems a bit scary and i'm not sure of the various routes i can take as an international student. Is it diffficult to get a job on opt? Do new grad programs accept international students? I plan to do a master's program and nurse practitioner subsequently. I am currently in Alabama.

This part is not clear. Are you ADN or just some pre-nursing courses in order to acquire the required prepreqs for nursing school? If the second, opt is not luxury anymore, not even when I graduated in 2013. Work towards your transfer while you're stay in school. The grace period to when one can stay unemployed in US for opt is short.

Welcome to the good good life after visa, we usually talk about.

[quote author=30watts post=64565624]Hello Guys

Please I have been requested by TAMUC to send official diploma and official transcripts. It is stated on the school's website that electronic copies are not accepted for these two documents.

I understand that the official diploma in our WAEC result. However, I don't know what the process is to send WAEC results. Secondly, this NASU, SSANU strike that has been on for two months implies that I may not be able to send official transcripts despite having the scanned copies.

Hello, for Tamuc, your official diploma means your Bsc certificate, and yes you can scan the original to them (the graduate coordinator)if you have it . I know this because thats what I did. It is not your Waec result.

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 13 by Victoria13: 9:44pm On Jan 28, 2018
Hello, your gpa should fall within the 3.0-3.4 range, just that you'd need to use the Wes igpa calculator to know the exact gpa on a scale of 4.0. Google www.wes.org or just use this link https://applications.wes.org/igpa-calculator/

I got two admissions, an mba and a cc. I used the mba's i20 for the interview, but transferred immediately when i arrived. Although the mba school was mad @ me and canceled my status, i rectified it subsequently.

I fell out of status because i did not do my due diligence on the mba school's transfer policy. They insisted that i did at least a semester before I transfer. You just have to make sure that you choose your research. There are schools that allow you to transfer before you even start first semester.
I have a friend who came with a B-1 visa and subsequently changed it to an F1 Visa. She was 30 and she used in I-20 directly from a cc. Like I said it only depends on your strategy. Anything is possible just look into your options. Personally, I would not advise the B1 to F1 route unless you have the time to wait because it usually takes around 9 months to 11 months to process.
