You must have missed my previous posts about this topic.

I think President Buhari will win the 2019 elections so any opposition candidate is a waste of money and time but still, a strong show by the opponent will show that there is work that needs doing.

This is a very plain point a lot of people are overlooking.
Lol, it's 29th day of January today and just barely 12months to the elections. Sure propaganda will be the order of the day when candidates starts showing themselves, but with the current force APC has at its disposal, any opposition will only try.

I'll though advice we all get our PVC ready.

There is Kwankwaso, Dankwabo, Atiku and Sule Lamido.

Each are worthy opponents in their right. As for credibility, that is too vague to comment on as in that regards, President Buhari might also not qualify

I doubt Tambuwal will contest sha

And also my humble self Alexander Odega.......

One of the Major factors by which electioneering is done in Nigeria are sentiments and money .. are you telling me that some Nigerian will not collect 1000 naira or even lower from party agents to vote. From the arithmetic on ground, Buhari will not rig the election but will win effortlessly unless someone is telling me there is a grass root campaign going on right to change the ideology of the major Nigerian voter.... LOL the people that elect leaders in Africa are not online you know !!! Let us pray that Buhari decides not to contest but if he do decide to... I bet you, he will win effortlessly... come to think of it; Baba Tinubu!!! it is your time to shine again and again; use this opportunity to demystify OBJ's so called "letter ways" do not miss the glaring Opportunity. grab it!!! and retire him for good!!!!
hehehehehehe, that man will lose that election, it seems some of you re not in this country or maybe you re just a sycophant like the rest of them on nl.

that is the problem with we nigerians. Most a candidate be known all over nigeria before he win an election? We never knew yar'adua, but from know where he won the presidential election. The only thing a candidate needs is, the leaders behind them.
Good point.
But this Kwakwanso guy should get better publicity if he wants to get a chance of even being noticed, cos i'm sure most Nigerians don't know who he is.

Markarfi will make a good candidate viced by Peter Obi of Anambra State...Obi is prudent, markafi can perform wonderfully considering his experience as a former Governor in Kaduna he did well he is not clanish like Buhari at least... Alternatively Dakwambo vs Ekweremadu with the support of PDP heavy weights he can Garner vote, anything but Buhari this time... Kwankwaso is also an option...but
In the two cases you mentioned, your suggestion is that Igbos should be vice to haboki, smh. I want to believe you are Igbo, then why are most Igbos calling yorubas slaves for being vice to an haboki man?

The south west and mid belt loss made sure GEJ was defeated. Buhari lost woefully in the east. Does that mean igbos aren't online? Majority of those who votes arent even on social media.

Learner. She is asking for people that have a reasonable chance of winning not people that may emerge losing candidates.

Are u blind? Gov Dakwambo, Gov Tambuwal, Ex-VP Atiku, Ex-Gov Lamido.

They all can win 30% - 35% of northern votes (NC, NE, NW) n this means game over for buhari. We already know he will get 5% or less of the votes in SE n SS.

President Buhari has the fundamental right to contest again, just like every other citizen of Nigeria. In Nigeria politicians do not win elections by their performances, they win by the sentiments of region, ethnicity, Hate, love, party affiliation etc.
I really do want President Buhari to contest for 2019 presidential election ... if he loses; we will know that Nigerians has been set free of these sentiments that have held them down over the years.
let me ask simple questions, will the Yoruba's leave there own ( Osibanjo) if he contest with Buhari for 2019, will the northern vote against their son come 2019 and is APC ready to loose power so soon? I leave you to answer...
I repeat!!! I want the president to contest again and let Nigerians prove a point if they can.
Remember in 2015 after all said and done about GEJ, the people of south south and south east held onto GEJ and gave him all their votes... if same play out in 2019 (that is if Buhari decide to contest) sure you already know who will win.... grin
The south south and south east are already anti Buhari. The south west and north central will be divided as usual. They will go 60—40 to any of the major candidates. If the opposition gets a person from the North-west, Buharis votes in the Northeast and North-west will be split. It won't be easy for Buhari. He will lose the election if the top guys desert him like they did Jonathan. So to sumarise, here is the way to win.
1.Start a party that has full national representation.
2. Get the top most important guys in Nigerian politics in it.
3.Get an important candidate from the North-west.

I'll say it again for the 20th time.

The only reason Buhari is hell bent on lopsided appointments and treating the ongoing bloody onslaught against defenseless citizens of Nigeria by armed Fulani herdsmen is because he's banking on block Northern votes in 2019. I'm glad I'm armed with enough exhibit and evidence to tell the story of Buhari to the generations coming should anyone try to paint him as a nationalist, moralist, or a credible leader.

First of all, he's not a leader. He's just an office holder. We shall tell the story as it happened. God will keep me alive to do this.

Bad idea, treasonable too.

It is truly a very bad idea. No stable economy during military regime. No firm rule of law. Military always boasts of puritan ethics but in reality, and from experience , some made kleptocracy a normative.

They were more corrupt than the politicians they chased out of power. Under the military, the constitution is suspended, so, there is nothing like the rule of law or respect for fundamental human rights. They used decree and edict. I beg, we don't want the military. At least, people can still criticize a civilian. The worst of democracy is far better than the best of praetorian/military rule.

Inasmuch as Buhari has his own failures, chief of which are:
Being to slow in taking decisions and actions as a president.
And failure to address the herdsmen crisis once and for all.

Else, I'm OK with the government's strides so far especially in terms of infrastructural development.

I'm not one of those people expecting magic in a short period. People who gave PDP 16yrs and didn't get good roads, electricity are judging this government's and APC's performance based on lack of 24hrs electricity in less than 3yrs. How unfair?

I choose Buhari for 2019 over all these names coming up so far.
