I happen to be one of the ameachi teacher that is yet to collect his confirmation letter.So happened that my village witches and wizards wrote a petition directly to the office of the commissioner for education,accusing me of being notoriously absent from my duty post(they may not be necessarily right but they are not wrong),was called by the SA to the commissioner of education to give reasons why my salary payment should not be blocked and followed up with a sack letter.
Well,enough of my personal problem,let me not bore you with stories that touch.
The thing is,if your are one of the ameachi teacher that is yet to get a confirmation letter, indicate because, while at the commissioner's office,i was able to turn my bad luck into getting meaningful information concerning confirmation letter.

I promised you last year that by this month (January), 2018, nobody will remember they jittered as a result of sack threat for non Educational certificate holders. I know you've 4gotten that; haven't you? We are here in January; nobody has been sacked yet you are about to conceive another fear. If you continue this way, then be ready for perpetual fear as long as you are in this job. Take note of the following 5 characteristics of this job:
i. Constant threat of sack;
ii. No promotion as at when due (sometimes more than 15 years);
iii. One of the least paid jobs if not the least in Nigeria;
iv. Filled with rumour carriers;
v. Filled with fear fear.

Don't be afraid of confirmation, government is aware that u people have been confirmed. It reflected in ur school payroll, ur date of confirmation is there which govt use payroll every month. Those that have not received, relax in due time those offices holding it will call for collection.

The three tiers of government have started 2018 on a good note as members of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) yesterday shared N655.177 billion for the December 2017.

Addressing reporters at the end of the monthly FAAC meeting on December 2017 disbursements, the minister of finance and chairman of FAAC, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, stated that N540.446 billion was shared as statutory disbursements.

However, after deducting costs of collection for the Customs and Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) the federal government pocketed N252.543 billion, states, N128.093, local governments got N98.755 billion while N47.738 billion shelled out as 13 per cent derivation to oil producing states.

After making statutory deductions to FIRS, the three tiers also shared N80.604 billion from proceeds of Value Added Tax (VAT) with the federal government receiving N13.091 billion, state governments, N40.302 billion and local governments N28.211 billion.



According to the minister, gross revenue of N540.446 billion received for the month was lower than the N549.533 billion received in the previous month by N9.087 billion.

Adeosun noted that the decrease in crude oil export sales by 0.59 million barrels resulted in decreased revenues from export sales of $11.65 million.

The finance minister also disclosed that the accruals into the Excess Crude Account still stands at $2.317 billion.

Also speaking after the meeting, the chairman of finance commissions forum Alhaji Mahmoud Yunusa said many states governments have keyed into the efficiency unit which has been working favourable for the states.

Yunusa from Adamawa state many state governments have embarked on cost cutting measures after adopting the efficiency unit protocol which is part of the fiscal responsibility plan that they have all agreed to adopt.

THE BIOMETRIC EXCERCISE WILL NOT AFFECT PAYMENT OF WORKERS SALARIES UNTIL THE COMPLETION OF THE EXERCISE AND THOSE WHOSE NAMES WHERE NOT CAPTURED WILL NO LONGER BE PAID.

I thought they said there is a ban on transfer or something like that, one of my colleagues just showed me his transfer letter to another school in another LGA & he has resumed work there. Wonders shall never end!

I think it's under UBE section because in my school some teachers where transferred in also

Just to add, the recent recognition/upgrading of some schools by the RVSG warrant transfer on one side. But the people transfer are either on the long-leg, who-you-know n necessity.
