A Nigerian entrepreneur, writer and speaker, Mercy Makinde, has shared shocking revelations made by underage girls who are sexually abused. According to the CEO of IASPIRE RADIO, the revelations were made during the 'Touch Me Not Campaign' held yesterday in Lagos as she called on parents to listen to their children. It’s been another depressing day today as we embarked on the TOUCH ME NOT CAMPAIGN and listened to the woes of our dear children of this country!

They are going through so much and we can’t just keep watching some evil people destroy the lives of these innocent children.

Parents please listen to your children. Believe them if they report any case of abuse to you. Our children are dying in silence !

They live in fear. They are being threatened by Abusers right under your roof. No matter the high class school you put them... no matter the plenty school fees you are paying... these kids won’t thrive if they are dealing with this trauma.

Parents please keep an eagle eye on your child. If you can’t deal with the reality of them being abused, rather than sweep it under the carpet please seek help . Call us!

Parenting standards has seriously deteriorated, the level of media exposure is really affecting kids and schools are more concerned about profits than to monitor and guide these students while they are under there care. The problem is just everywhere, painful and pathetic

It's the sad reality but it's really true.
The problem is that these children need attention from their parents but most parents don't give it to them. They are either to busy with work or fighting with themselves.
Reminds me of an incident that occurred 2 years ago during my SIWES program in the village. Because I had time, I spent it with those small children, and they adored it, simply because most of their parents never had time for them.

I saw an 11 year old boy whose family stay in our compound excitedly dry-humping a 6 year old girl who was playfully telling him to stop, in broad day light.

Me: Chiboy, what are you doing?
Chiboy: Broda, nothing
Me: I will deal with you oh, I saw what you and this girl were doing.
Chiboy: Broda, I didn't do anything. We were just playing
Me: Don't worry. I'll tell your mother.
Chiboy: (As soon as I said that, he began to beg) Broda please don't tell. She almost killed me when they told her before.

As I told the boy to kneel down, and questioned him, I was shocked to hear that almost all the children that I was friendly with engaged in such acts on a regular basis. The poor Chiboy began to tell me that he had done the act about 10 times in the corridor, how his friend taught him, how they do it naked and with clothes on and how even his younger brother, a 6 year old boy, engages is such acts. I caned the boy small and later talked to him.
I couldn't believe my ears. I thought that those in the villages were naive and innocent.

Child molestation is a cancer that is not only perpetuated by older ones. It can also involve a child with another child and can only be dealt with by proper care and attention. Not every smiling girl or boy is truly happy. Spend time with your kids and take nothing for granted.

Pictures of the said girls or this is another sick move by some demented feminists to gain attention and funding from international bodies.

If you are a mother, it's Paramount that you keep an eye on your female child/children cos they are soft targets for those paedophiles. From experience,They wouldnt say anything, a friend who was abused as a child by a family member and is still going through it, refused to tell anybody in her family cos of what would happen if they know. Don't ever assume, be it the brother, uncle or father, once u notice any abnormalities, act immediately

This is the reality we have to grapple with especially concerning the girl child
somtimes in 2008, I used to be a children church teacher and I teach the 6-8 yr.
This particular year, the manual was talking about sex. During the course of the teaching after in teaching I asked the children whether they have ever had sex. I told them to come individually to whisper only to my hearing. I couldn't have imagined the responses. Out of a class of 46 children between 6-8 yr, 42 admitted they have had at least on encounter. Stories ranging from house boy to neighbour to uncle to even blood brothers abound. The following week I took the 9-11yr and again I conducted the same study ,out of a class of 39 children, 37 admitted. Even a boy said th house boy will tell him to lie on his chest put something in his anus and tell him not to tell anybody. One girl said daddy and mummy do it and he and his brother also do it, one said because they see it on TV he had to do it with his neighbour, one said her mum told her to give a neighbour food and he did it, another said her mum said her mum told a friend to do it to expose her,etc. i wouldn't believe if had not heard.
