Firstly, I was born in the UK left here when I was 11, finished secondary school in Warri not Lekki international school ( bred in Warri) lived in UNN speak Igbo through that environmental association.

Played football in Benin City, I will not say more than that.

I really do not like English porridge that much I prefer
Delta pottage which is Ukodo.

I incidentally went to two Russell group universities in England, so I am not illiterate if you possibly thought so.

I visit Nigeria at least twice a year if time permits.

But let's get to the core issue. It will be immensely beneficial if you were to give specific verbatim quotes that led you to the deductions you have made here.

Particularly amongst other things you used the description " Sell Out "

Let's discuss, dissect and enlighten ourselves.

Well with this I can see clearly where your allegiance lies... I was misinformed all along... For that my apologies.

You are actually a brit by birth, so it's safe to say why you prefer their players in the SE

Sir,it seems this boy has offended you and humility17 before cos as a Nigerian he has every right to aspire to play for Eagles,so I don't see anything wrong in his comment.

I thought the young man pledged his allegiance to Nigeria sometimes ago and was even in U20 camps during English league break and played two friendly matches,so let encourage our FBs who are willing to represent us,truly he can't even make the team but good to hear that is willing if invitation is extended to him.

When Sammy was a teenager he was playing regularly for Newcastle in the EPL. Somehow he fell out of favour at Newcastle plus injuries and he is now in League one.

Don't know why he never got a call to the SE when Uchebo, Gabriel, etc got in.

From my observation, Naija coaches are very lazy. They don't pay attention to details at all. They don't know that natural talent can only take you so far.

That's not unique to Nigeria.

Norwegian Side Start Signify Interest In CHAN Eagles Rave Of The Moment Ikouwem Udoh

The fine performance of Enyimba Fc midfielder Ikouwem Udoh in his first game for Nigeria at the ongoing African Nations Championship has earned him advances from Norwegian side Start.

Ikouwem distinguished himself as Nigeria rally back from going behind to beating Angola 2-1 after extra time in the quarter final , a win which secures their progress to the semi-final.

Ahead of tomorrow’s semi final game coach Salisu Yusuf has already revealed that the 18 year old Enyimba left full back will keep his starting spot with regular left back Daniel Itodo still out injured.

It will afford Norwegian side Start the chance to further run the rule on the fast rising full back, who has emerged as one of the favourites of fans of the team after his dispay against Angola.

Scouts from the Norwegian side watched the quarter final game, and preliminary talks were reportedly held with his club in Nigeria, and talks could advance further after the semi-final game.

I don't prefer.

I talk about players I have seen train, watched develop progress and even decline. Players that I speak to thier coaches about and watch live and even speak bto directly.

When I do comparison to some players I fund them to be as competitive or even possibly better than some players selected to the SE.

I feel every player should be selected on merit and that merit shouldn't be speculative but from current confirmed outstanding performance on the field of play in your parent club. Not on past glories.

I do feel that some leagues are more competitive than others. And I have no apologies for saying the EPL is the most competitive league in the World. I didnt say best or mist technically superior. But the most COMPETITIVE .

I am not a football agent I admit to being associated.

I mentioned players who played in the local league in Nigeria that I have had a preference for. But my area of associated involvement is England and so I have in depth experiential knowledge. I would not call that bias.

Still on Isaac Success

Watford Ace Isaac Success Fails To Deny Or Confirm Loan Move To Malaga

Isaac Success has refused to deny or confirm Owngoalnigeria.com reports about his loan move to Spanish LaLiga side Malaga from English Premier League side Watford.
Speaking through a trusted source, the 21 year old did confirm that he has requested a loan move away from Watford following the signing of Barcelona Spanish winger Gérard Deulofeu.

Deulofeu joined Watford on loan yesterday and his presence means Success who is yet to play a Premier League game this season has now fallen further down the pecking order at the club.

Although he is comfortable playing as a striker, he has so far played on the wings since his move to Watford, and Deulofeu presence means more competition for places in the squad.

The former Granada forward confirmed that a host of clubs totalling nine are after his signature and Malaga is in the list as well, and a decision will be made public today.

A meeting with coach Javi Gracia on the chances of getting games under the new manager is expected to hold today, and barring any last minute change of mind, Success will no doubt leave Watford on a six months loan.

Exclusive – Theophilus Solomon Arrives In Cyprus To Complete Loan Move To Omonia Nicosia

Former Partizan Belgrade forward Theophilus Solomon has been issued a travelling visa to Cyprus where he will join Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia on loan for the rest of the season.

Omonia beat Apollon Limassol to his signing after his parent club HNK Rijeka of Croatia recalled him from Partizan Belgrade where he spent the first half of the season on loan.

Solomon wasn’t given any assurances that he will have regular game time, hence his decision to push for another loan move away from the club, and despite interest from Apollon Limassol he has settled for Omonia Nicosia.

He was supposed to arrive the country two days back but visa issues delayed his coming, he is however expected to arrive Cyprus today via Bulgaria after getting his visa yesterday.
Although he failed to score during his five months stay with Partizan Belgrade, he did manage to play a role for the team during their Europa League campaign , especially in the game which sealed their qualification for the knock out rounds.

The 22 year old will spend the rest of the season on loan with the Cypriot giants before returning back to Rijeka, the team he joined as a 17 year old five years ago from Football Academy Abuja.

Fit-again Peter Eneji could play against Sudan – Salisu Yusuf

Plateau United nippy winger Peter Eneji has fully recovered from an ankle injury and could even feature in tomorrow’s CHAN semi-final against Sudan.

“Eneji is fit again and ready to play,” revealed coach Salisu Yusuf

Eneji suffered the injury in training camp in Abuja but the team insisted on taking him to the CHAN.

He was one of the shining lights when Nigeria reached the final of the sub-regional WAFU Cup in Ghana in September.

The absence of Sunday Faleye and doubts over Emeka Ogbugh’s fitness could even mean the goal-scoring winger starts tomorrow.

Actually Kane was the HGS that season but that was not my point. I named Luis Suarez but u said he was way older and then I proceeded to giving u Kane and Morata who I think are good young strikers who have had rough patches before. This your HGS talk is really scandalous, u mean Morata who costs more than the NPFL combined with the PSL, would have to win the golden boot before I use him in an analogy with Tony Okpotu?

Ex-Chelsea Ace Mikel To Alhaji Gero : All The Best Against Arsenal In Europa League

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has wished Alhaji Gero all the best ahead of Ostersunds FK's Europa League round of 32 meeting with Premier League club Arsenal on February 15.

At a chance meeting with Mikel in Marbella, Spain on Tuesday, Gero revealed that he hopes to play with the Super Eagles skipper in the national team in the near future.

''It's great to meet a legend and also a leader like him,'' said Alhaji Gero to allnigeriasoccer.com .

''We had a good conversation on our Europa League match against Arsenal and he wished me success.

''Of course I'm really ready for any chance that comes with the nation and it will be great to play with him in the national team.''

Apart from the fourth round of the Europa League qualifiers when he was on the bench vs PAOK Saloniki, Gero has figured in every single game contested by Ostersunds FK in this season's competition and has scored 2 goals from 11 matches.

Mikel won the Europa League with Chelsea during the 2012-2013 season, he was on the bench in the final against Benfica.

Sudan Coach, Captain: “Giants” Home Eagles Are Beatable In CHAN Semi-Final
By Adeboye Amosu

Sudan assistant coach Burhaneldin Tia expects a tough battle against Nigeria in their African Nations Championship (CHAN) quarter-final fixture but is confident his side can scale through the hurdle, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The Sudanese put up a convincing display to beat the Chipolopolo of Zambia 1-0 in their quater-final game on Saturday.
Tia said that it will be a pleasure coming up against the highly-rated Nigerian team but revealed they have their set their sights on making the final.

“We have intensified preparations for the semi-final clash against Nigeria, right after beating Zambia at the quarters. We didn’t beat Zambia due to luck, but because we were better prepared and better team on the day,” Tia said during his pre-match interaction with the media on Tuesday ahead of the game.

“Nigeria is one of the giants of African football and it is always a pleasure to play against such a team. It will be a different game from the previous matches, but we will do our best to emerge victors and advance to the final.
“All the players are in good condition. The positive news is that we have a team of young players, who play collectively and are prepared to go all out to achieve the expected result.”

Sudan captain of the side, Mohamed Taher, also stated that they are keen to make it to the final even though he reckoned it will be difficult to beat the Home Eagles.

“We are determined to carry on with our impressive run at the tournament so far. Against Nigeria will be difficult, and for such games, you have to physically and psychologically ready,” he remarked.

“We are not under any form of pressure. However, we are determined to prove to all that we are not at the semi-finals by chance.”

Eze: It’s Victory Or Nothing Against Sudan
By Adeboye Amosu

Home-based Super Eagles defender, Stephen Eze, insists the team cannot afford to miss out on a place in the final of the 2018 African Nations Championship in Morocco after working so hard to reach the semi-finals, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Home Eagles will seek to make it to the final of the tournament for the first time when they take on Sudan at the Grande Stade Marrakech tonight (Wednesday).

After starting their campaign with a 0-0 draw against Rwanda, Salisu Yusuf’s charges have won three games in a row.

They showed great strength and character by grabbing a late equaliser through Anthony Okpotu in the quarter-final against Angola before Gabriel Okechukwu scored the winning goal in extra time

“We have worked so hard to get to this stage of this competition and we can’t afford to throw everything away now,” Eze told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“We showed the real Nigerian spirit in the game against Angola and we won’t relent until we win the trophy.

“The game against Sudan will be difficult, but we have the quality to beat them.”

Ahmed Musa admits Leicester City the toughest time of his career

Ahmed Musa has admitted his failure to set the Premier League alight with Leicester City has been the most difficult time of his career.
The 25-year-old Nigeria forward has returned to Russian giants CSKA Moscow on loan from Leicester City till the end of the season.

“It has been a difficult time for me at Leicester City, and in life you go through such times,” he said.
“I have not been disappointed but I have learnt from this experience.
“I will play for CSKA till the end of the season and return to England to what happens next.”

He cost Leicester City about 18 million pounds when he moved to England two years ago.

But recently the jet-heeled winger was demoted to the Leicester City U21s to underline just how low he had come down to in England.

You Sir are not far off... I think you heard just right... wink

Ulloa to Brighton (loan)

Slimani to Newcastle (Loan)... Recall Newcastle wanted Nacho but it seems Puel is more willing to part with Slimani than Nacho... Hmmmm...

Well, I think Nacho will see some more game time this season then... It is now just Nacho, Vardy and Okazaki...

If Mahrez's move to Man City materialises too, then it would be just Gray, Albrighton and Diabate from the wings... Especially now that Musa returned to CSKA Moscow.

Interesting deadline day transfer activities... I think Puel meant it after all when he said he needs Nacho and also recently commended his hardworking and positive attitude in training even mentioning how much Nacho pushes himself and demands more of himself. But we still dey observe....
