Parents that barely believe their children because they are barely adults aren't fit enough to have such kid. especially on something as scary as their kid's sexual abuse

It is true that child molestation happens everywhere, but this very case is a big SCAM. All those pictures uploaded in the images (most especially the handwritten ones) are a real scam, which are geared towards achieving the poster's aims (usually funding, as I believe the poster is an NGO). Read the text of those handwritten notes and ask yourself if the average Nigerian child can use the words in those write ups.

The few comments I have read till this points is an indication of why our nation is sick. The people are sick, sick men/women diagnosing critical issues like its a joke, no iota of empathy nor pity, nor a grasp of the severity of the issues being discussed. Yet some of them would have daughters. The devil has bought the conscience of many Nigerian's, we don't even know what is good or bad any longer. As "good" parent we must be aware there are numerous predators out there, we must make it a must to be in our children's business. we must pray for them, talk to them and listen to them no matter how childish we assume they still are. And most importantly be must re-develop a conscience as a society.

Seriously, some parents, many parents don't know their jobs.


This reminded me of something a female friend told me, was a corper like me then.

Even though I don't know how true it is but.

A pastors wife in one of the leading Pentecostal church in this country lured her into lesbianism, while she was staying with them. She reported to her parents , but they didn't believe her and even beat her asking her who told her to say such a thing to the woman of God. She suffered for years, and even started enjoying the life of a lesbian , the only thing that is paining her was the fact that her parents couldn't believe her even as a very young girl.

I knew she was a lesbian and I asked how she became one, if she was born like that or someone lured her and she told me how.

Years later, the said pastor and the wife came to ask for forgiveness ( the pastor never knew her wife did it) because the pastor and the wife wants to open their own church and wants to be clear and settle anyone they have wrong in the past to avoid scandal in future.

The parents apologized to her, but the damage has been done.



My point is, parents should always be careful and always listen and be watchful a lot of evil is happening.

it happens 2 little boys too. D impression is that girls are more vulnerable which isn't entirely true. I have seen a video of a girl of about 13years making a child of 5-6years have sex with her. It was shocking

This is the reality we have to grapple with especially concerning the girl child
somtimes in 2008, I used to be a children church teacher and I teach the 6-8 yr.
This particular year, the manual was talking about sex. During the course of the teaching after in teaching I asked the children whether they have ever had sex. I told them to come individually to whisper only to my hearing. I couldn't have imagined the responses. Out of a class of 46 children between 6-8 yr, 42 admitted they have had at least on encounter. Stories ranging from house boy to neighbour to uncle to even blood brothers abound. The following week I took the 9-11yr and again I conducted the same study ,out of a class of 39 children, 37 admitted. Even a boy said th house boy will tell him to lie on his chest put something in his anus and tell him not to tell anybody. One girl said daddy and mummy do it and he and his brother also do it, one said because they see it on TV he had to do it with his neighbour, one said her mum told her to give a neighbour food and he did it, another said her mum said her mum told a friend to do it to expose her,etc. i wouldn't believe if had not heard.

The mindset that a man can have whatever he wants is the ultimate catalyst to rape because they see women and children (basically anyone under them) as fair game who should be used for their sexual satisfaction regardless of what the person thinks. You are the problem. Not the victims and their parents

It is a well known fact that Nigeria is a country crawling with paedophiles, rapists and perverts. I feel truly sorry for those who are raising female children in that country. I will never want to raise a family in Nigeria.

Nigeria is a toxic country with sex addicted people who prey on innocent little children and damage them for life. And then you wonder why some adults grow up to hate sex and avoid marriage.

Nigeria will remain a 3rd world crappy country lacking any significant progress until her citizens stop sexually molesting children and that remains my prayer point for Nigeria everyday.

What first struck me on reading the hand written notes was that the word "usually" in both the 2nd and 3rd letters were written by the same person.

The so called entrepreneur Mercy Makinde is on a cynical attempt at using a very serious issue to score cheap popularity for herself even if it means forgery and outright lies.

She should be called out for damaging the cause of real victims.
