Meet The Youngest Politician In Nigeria, His Age Will Shock And You by terrence12(m): 9:41pm On Jan 31, 2018 |
For some time now the youths have been going on and on about wriggling power from the wiry claws of our failed and failing leaders but so far all that has been achieved is successive social media trends and decries lacking any concrete effect. It comes as a shocker that a particularly very young man has decided to break the ice and declare his intent to do something other than complaining on social media and arguing about who is better between Messi and Ronaldo. Meet the youngest aspirant in the history of our dear nation, he is contesting for a place in the Cross River State House of Assembly with a view to represent Akamkpa1 state constituency in the parliament. His name is Itokem Obasi-obasi Okon, a native of Mbarakom community in Akampka Local Government Area of Cross River State. Mr Itokem is currently an undergraduate of the prestigious University of Uyo studying the herculean Medicine and Surgery which to me is quite a shocker given that most of the medics we have now are educationally over-zealous and politically unmotivated. He is the fifth Son and 10th Child of the late Echi Atui, the first Paramount Ruler of Akamkpa Local government area, HRH Late Ntufam G. E. O. ITOKEM so it won't be out of place if we call Mr ITOKEM 'the prince' I know most of you have been impatiently scrolling down for the primary purpose of seeing his age, please feel free to knock yourself out! Prince Itokem was born on the 10th day of November 1995! Which makes him exactly 22years and 2months old! Good gracious! He attended St John Adiagha obong international Nursery and primary school from the year 2000 to 2004 when he moved to community Primarily School New Nnetim in 2005 where he obtained his FSLC. He then went to Treasure Child Comprehensive Secondary School Awi, Akamkpa in 2005-2011 and obtained his WASSCE And SSLC a school where he was the Senior School prefect at the tender age of 15! In 2013 he had admission to study Dentistry and Dental Surgery in the unique University of Port Harcourt and he was a very exceptional and social student until he left in 2016 when he got admission to study Medicine and Surgery his dream course in the University of Uyo. In 2014 he became Alpha of The Riders Movement of Nigeria, a social, political and Human Rights youth group. His political philosophies are somewhat inbetween those of The late American President Abraham Lincoln and the late Nobel Award Black Activists M. L. King jnr. Whom he declared his mentor and inspiration. Mr ITOKEM believes in the power held by the youths in our democracy and opines to be driven by the suffering of his people and the backwardness of his tribe coupled with the helplessness and hopelessness the evilry of our leaders has subjugated us to. His party affiliations are somewhat not very clear now as he has not officially given any party to which he intends to run under but close sources to Prince Itokem have revealed that he has a biase for the Labour Party Of Nigeria and ofcouse the southern favorite, PDP! Let's keep our fingers crossed for now until he decides as to which party's flag to fly! So Nigerians, what do you think of this development, is it a welcome one? Does he stand any chance against his likely opponents who are established political figures in his locality and way older, richer and a bit more experienced than the young and intelligent Prince, let's know your thoughts.

edlion57: And obviously you are a boy.. This young man has shown great ingenuity by not spending all his youthful days complaining about every single move made by our erring politicians and spending time and money on social media but decided to Dare himself and indeed all Nigerian youths to action and all you can do is insult him? You and your type are the reason why we are here today because I'm very sure if this 'boy' and Buhari where to be the only presidential candidates you'll vote Buhari because he is older... Shame on you! |
