When you write a quality, original, and an informational book in an evergreen niche like relationship, health, wealth, and fitness, etc. you'll forever keep making money from the book. It's called self-help. It's a "How To" instructional book and they sell from decade to decades and long as you author has a working system.

Talking about "listen" in number 6 above, a certain Nairander saw the cover design of one of our books and said something uncanny. I was angry with him at first and we had a little dirty fight.

Despite the fight for calling the cover names, I still listened to him, paid thousands of Naira to hire a professional designer to redesign it.

What happened? He abused me, we fought, yet I listened to him. This is what I call, use a hater or (critique) to improve instead of to give up. And don't ever hate back a hater — it's a waste of your precious hate.

POWER OF MOTIVATIONAL HONESTY

I learned this from Bill Gate.

I was writing a certain book, but along the line, I abandoned it because of too many activities. Despite abandoning the book, I still advertised it. A client approached me to buy a copy. I told him it costs 12k, but we'll give a 50% discount.

At the end, he paid 6k. Sadly, I hadn't finished the book. Though, the content of the book was in my head. The only problem was typing it. The moment he paid this money, I gave him a week before he'll receive the book.

Here is where trust pays. I told him I'll resend the money because the book will be available in 7 days, but he said I shouldn't mind resending it. Why? Because of trust. He knows I'll never run with his money despite any amount. Trust is key in business.

This was my motivation to finish that book and yes, I kept to my words and delivered it on that day and he was wowed. This is what we call keeping your words in business. It's pure honesty.
