positivethought: You forgot Taraba. Most people from Nasarawa, Adamawa and Kaduna are also typically anti caliphate, the only problem is that pro-caliphate populations in these states are also large too and politically subjugate the anti caliphate masses. 2 Likes |

positivethought: Just the same way you cannot really explain how the Hausas and muslims are dominating yorubas and Igbos together, and other christians politically, when infact christians outnumber muslims in Nigeria. It is a systemic thing. Islam as a religion has always promoted politics among it's people. Whereas the kind of very orthodox and conservative christianity that was brought to most northern christians has always taught us that politics is a bad thing and a dirty game played by candidates of hell fire. Muslims on the other hand have always been taught that it is an abomination for infidels to rule over them, hence they must take politics as a do or die affair and do anything possible to rule over infidels. The mentality is the problem. Muslims discuss politics in their mosques and how to dominate their terrain, if not now but in the nearest future. Another reason, is that, Islam teaches you that religious bond is greater than your tribe or your race, but christianity doesn't. This is why you see all muslims drop their tribal differences and support one candidate, but christians will rather fight each other based on tribes. In Nasarawa state, the muslims have succesfully pitched other christians against the Eggon/Mada people (who are the largest tribe and christian population in the state).. ...So, an Alago christian for instance would rather vote his fellow Alago muslim than an Eggon Christian. Just like the way Igbos are treated by other christians in Nigeria sometimes. ........ But where we christians are foolish is that we don't know than an Alago muslim for instance will rather vote a Hausa man who shares the same religion with him than his fellow Alago who is a christian. It's all tribalism. This is why Adamawa south, which is clearly and unarguably Christian majority (75% christian) senatorial district, but has a muslim senator! Tribalism! Most Chamba christians preferred to Support a Chamba muslim canidate than a Bachama christian candidate. Now, the Chambas commanding a very large christian population of the zone, definitely need to join the other predominantly christian tribes for christians to always dominate the zone, but no, they rather support their muslim chamba people in the name of tribal solidarity over religious solidarity. Just like Yoruba christians will rather go with the agenda of yoruba muslims over an Igbo agenda like you saw in the last election. Christians have no religious solidarity unlike muslims. 2 Likes 1 Share |

abouzaid: That is why i feel zero pity for them. Infact, remember during the python dance in Abia and rivers, we all remember how the "christian northerners" were rejoicing over the death of unarmed igbos both on fb and this forum. Heck the igbos indigienous in benue get treated like shit and they are begging to be moved to SE. What goes around, comes around. I feel zero pity for am and any igbo that do, I suggest read your history 2 Likes |

Nowenuse: You have really done justice to all the half-truths and outright lies they littered this place with in pursuit of a dubious narrative. I lived in the Middle Belt for six years and in the Core North for three years. All you said in your responses are the unassailable truths. 1 Like |

Nowenuse:You dey mind that gargantuan empty barrel? Once he and his mindless sycophants, get on their bandwagon of deception and falsehood, other members of their clique join in to spew rubbish. None of them is ever rational enough to err on the side of caution, or seek to understand if what is being stated, is fact or fiction.... To them, it is like a contest to see who can come up with the biggest propaganda, or the most 'believable' lie!! Anyway, most of them were raised on a diet of deceit and propaganda, so what do you expect? 2 Likes |

Nowenuse:You might be right bro But there a lot of Christians in Niger state The major indigenes from Niger state are the gbagi/gwari tribe and nupe. Majority of them are Christians too. Seriously every other region that is not core North needs to sit up. It's time we all put core North in their place. Enough is enough. Fulani are savage beasts and they believe Nigeria is theirs for the taking. They have subdued Hausa and Yoruba in illorin and now they have spread their target through out Niger state, Nasarawa, southern kaduna, some parts if adamawa, kogi and benue state. Nigeria is backward today because of the core north; imagine having almajiris scattered everywhere like animals. These are part the foot soldiers used during sharia etc. And they even recruit many of them into Nigerian army once they come of age. If we all don't unite and face the hausa/fulani; Nigeria will remain a shithole |

Nowenuse:Seriously you are really a smart fellow. As an igbo man; whenever I see a northern Christian who isn't from the core North claiming arewa; it pains me to the bone, because I understand this core northern Muslims and I have had some of them as friends to the extent they were trying to lure abi convince me to convert to islam; but I refused jor. What I am trying to say is that this core northern Muslims are very greedy and most of them hate every other person that is not a core northern muslim. In fact they see the Yoruba Muslims, nupe /gwari muslims and all other fake Muslims as their slaves and willing tool. Believe me their plan is to conquer and rule the whole Nigeria. You enlightened once need to emancipate your people it's high time you create awareness; tell your people that you aren't arewa, tell your people the evil plans of the hausa/Fulani. Don't let them tell you your identity Arewa is not a general middle belt language it belongs to hausa/fulani and it is a divide and conquer word |

Mum told me back then that how I dress, how I interact with people tells a lot about my upbringing. Today I am been drumming that into the ears of my own children. ClumsyFlimsy: ClumsyFlimsy: You have said nothing but the truth. I used to be an administrator of the largest online middlebelt forum. I have been able to convince thousands of my people why we can never be Arewa. In the past, I myself used to claim Arewa, not until I did a lot of historical digging and fact finding. I am just a little bit financially incapacitated right now, if not, I would have started an offline group that willl mobilize our people towards this effect. Cos I have observed that no existing group from the region (including the so called middlebelt groups) understand what it takes to emancipate our people and establlish a unique identity for our people. The president of this group and person in charge of this statement Emma Zopmal is my friend. Just for the records, most Nupes are muslims (like 75%). While the Gbagyis in Niger state are like 50-50. It is the gbagyis of Abuja, Nasarawa & Southern Kaduna that are predominantly christians. Those in Niger state have been heavily infiltrated by Hausa fulanis. The tribes of Niger north (Kamuku, Kambari, Shingini, Dakarkari, Zuru, Dukawa e.t.c) are 50/50 or even slightly predominantly christians, same with Kebbi south senatorial district, but fulanis have largely infiltrated this region, brainwashed the indigenous muslims to their support, dominated and trampled upon these indigene christians. Our elders like Yakubu Gowon who were deeceived into one Arewa, sold us out. But God willing, in the nearest future, the youths will emerge and say enough of this nonsense. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Nowenuse: Our elders were completely deceived. It is very painful. There are six geopolitical zones in Nigeria and Middle Belt is one of them. The creation of these zones was initiated by Ibrahim Babangida who is from Niger State. Interestingly, he did not categorize Niger State and FCT under Core North but group them in Middle Belt. The same IBB moved the Capital to Abuja. How Middle Belt politicians were deceived into dumping their unique identity has been the subject of my research. Please, I may like to connect with you. I am also working seriously on the issue of carving out our unique identity and destiny as Middle Belt people. We are not Arewa. Kindly check my posts on my profile. 3 Likes |
