ICaSNg: Lol. Please does Griffith Private school requires PTE-A for admission? What are their requirements for Post Grad studies? Do they accept HND though with PGD into their Masters level? Thanks for your efforts 1 Like |

To everyone studying in Ireland, pls is the post study permit automatic or one still needs to meet some conditions? 2. Can one recoup the tuition fees within these period via legitimate jobs? |
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by ICaSNg(f): 2:41pm On Feb 05, 2018 |
Fiyinfoluwa20: That will be based on individual university with regards to scholarships available and criteria for selection. Cheers |

Stdaviding: The 2 years post study work visa is automatic for level 9 graduates and yes , minimum wage in Ireland is 9 euro per hour. In 2 years you should at least be able to recoup the amount spent and even more once you get a permanent job role. However, this is all totally dependant on how hardworking you are as a person. Don't expect anything to be given to you on a platter. Cheers 1 Like |

uk101: The 2 years work permit is automatic. However to further extend your work permit after the 2 years , you should be able to land a full-time employment. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The two (2) years is not given at a time. One year first. When going for the second year, one has to show evidence that one has made attempt to get a job, Internship, interview(s) invite whilst the first 1 year lasted. ICaSNg: 7 Likes 2 Shares |

ICaSNg: Hi, ICasNg and other gurus here. Thanks for the good work you are doing here educating all of us. What course in Ireland would you suggest for someone that has HND Lower Credit in Mineral Resources Engineering but has been working in IT/Telecoms for about 14 years. His interest is basically in IT or Telecoms. I've been trying to help him search for relevant University and course in Telecoms & Networking, but it seems there are few options. Most options are in computing or Computer Engineering which are for core IT graduates. Thanks. |

Alore: You're right. Courses closely linked to IT/Network Engineering are rare. The University of Limerick offers MEng in Computer and Communications Systems. You will see lot of Computer and Information Security courses which I think are for core computing students. 1 Like |

Right! Here's what I'd like to know: 1. How much would you advice someone comes with after paying full tuition? Enough to cover 3 months? 2. How soon can one get a job to help cover living cost. 3. What kind of jobs would you advice we look out for? In the UK, I assume "care" is the best paying job for students. Is it similar in Ireland? 4. What city is preferable to settle in, if searching for a job in the IT sector? Thanks |
