Experience has nothing to do with being good, he could have displaced those who were below par. what i am saying is, if he's that good, he should have made the German team. (If above average). what i believe is that he's average, hence the reason he's not making headlines. Above average players make headlines everywhere in the world sir. All the same, if Rohr believes he's better than the ones he's got on ground for now, he can go for him but what i am afraid of is introducing too many new faces thereby killing or distorting the chemistry/team spirit in the team. We have seen how "average" clubs or country go ahead to win tournaments (Leceister/Greece/Portugal/Zambia). Team spirit and chemistry plays a big role in every team on earth. Man city used to have world class players/big price players yet kept achieving little or nothing until they got a coach he got players who are/were ready to play for the club, not those who take the team as plan B. Any player who sees the SE as plan B should never be given a chance, they won't see reason to die for the national team. you need the heart to play for a national team, not just the skill or whatever. this is my grouse sir. tbaba1234: 4 Likes |

somehow:I thought this issue has been thoroughly trashed on here and squashed as a myth we choose to believe to sooth our frail ego? You should know that if given an opportunity, most of these foreign borns will choose their class A European countries ahead of us. There is absolutely no shame accepting that. What we need to do now is clean our image and build up our reputation to be more appealing and make it easier for players to choose us. I think we're on the right path in that regard 2 Likes 1 Share |

somehow: The core of Rohr's squad is known. At least 15-17 players are known Anyone who thinks he will make rapid changes does not know the man. He will only introduce players that can improve areas in his team. A kid in his first season in the top flight has to be out of this world to get into the jam-packed German squad. Na so easy to enter the current germany squad?? The fact that he is being courted by big clubs gives you an idea of his potential. Even if Udokhai makes the team, i do not expect him to start because he is new. He would be brought on if we have to defend a lead. 4 Likes |

We should clean our house and reputation before they decide to play for us? who is the we? meaning the players seeing us as Plan B aren't among the "we"? like they are foreigners or mercenaries? Balogun, Trooks, Ebuehi didn't see us as plan B, same with others so i am not against FBP, only against the plan B players. SerVik: 1 Like |

If he won't be starting, then i don't see why we even need him now, but if the coach thinks he is what he needs, what can i do? it's his responsibility, but i don't see a 20 years old as our lord and savior at the back. our 5 and 6 currently playing for us are ahead of him. yes i said so. One of the reasons Rohr prolly wants him i think has to do with his height, the "short" man is obsessed with "tall things" tbaba1234: 1 Like |

somehow:You CHOOSE to believe they did not see us as a plan B, it doesn't make it true. Even balogun said it would have been a difficult choice if Germany had come knocking. It was an easy choice for these guys because they were not in the frame for their foreign teams. It was, practically speaking, play for Nigeria or forget international football. Please list all the foreign borns playing for Nigeria and tell me which of them received an invitation from their foreign nation and rejected it in favour of nigeria 4 Likes |

How many players who have a real chance to play for a top country would choose Nigeria instead? At the time, Iwobi, Moses, Balogun, Ekong, Ikeme, Ebuehi, Idowu, chose to play for Nigeria, they were not in contention for their other team . 4 Likes |

Sir, read some of their interviews, we have articles posted here about them. i didn't "choose" to "believe", i am reacting based on what the article quoted them saying. Did the guy in question get invitation and rejected it? Ebuehi is one that is close to rejecting that of Holland. SerVik: |

But Omeruo isn't even among the first 3 CBs na lol Anyways, i know Omeue is not above average and not even average hence the reason he doesn't even start for us IMO. His height is a plus to the NT if ROhr gets him to play. tbaba1234: 2 Likes |

SerVik: Exactly what I wanted to say. If my son had the opportunity to break into the Spanish team today, I'd unapologetically advice him to go for it, that might be the best career decision he'd ever make. These people think we have a team filled with World Class players, when in reality almost all our players are either average or below average |

somehow:I didn't join the argument in support or otherwise of the invitation of udokhai, I only reacted to a statement you made and seeing that we had treated that issue at a point, when Mujtahida and joebie schooled us, I decided to chip in. See, as a player, these guys make decisions for career advancement. In deciding which country to play for, it is easy for these guys to choose the glamorous European teams. I said we should clean our house and you misconstrued it. We can clean our house by eliminating corruption in our teams. Tell me our team isn't more attractive with Rohr? This is a man that would make calls to clubsides to find out why his players are not playing, a coach that looks for club for his players, th at is career advancement, every player would want that kind of coach. My qualm with your patriotism argument is that you are pinning the patriot tag on people that had it easy, they never had to make the hard choice. You speak about Ebuehi, I admire the young man but if we're being honest, at this point the super Eagles is more attractive than the Dutch national team. Fact. And he never even got the invite. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Kog45: My point was simple. - We don't have a team filled with World Class players. - These foreign born(s) are not World Class either. - These guys are Nigerians like those that were born at home, then why set the bar higher when considering them? That's unfair to me. - In summary, our players are average just like the FBs are, no much difference. ¡Es sencillamente simple! 1 Like |

SerVik:My man i get your point and agreed but Super Eagles has been attractive for so long depends on what you mean by attractive, any FB who is damn serious knows this that Nigeria is solid when it comes to Football. I remember Tunji Banjo a thorough FB who played for Nigeria in 1980 Afcon,John Chiedozie too in the 80s,Reuben Agboola in early 90s,Efan Ekoku in the mid 90s,George Abbey,Sodjes,Danny Shittu,Shola Ameobi,Sone Aluko,Hope Akpan,Victor Mosea etc. Remember Balogun and Ekong were discovered by Keshi and Iwobi by Siasia not even Rohr, just to tell you the team has been attractive to those FB that value it. 2 Likes |

Kog45:When you talk of attractiveness, it is Brazil, they have a richer footballing culture but the Gulf in attractiveness between the two is not that big, they are both very attractive and I classify both as class A. When you talk about Nigeria and Germany, keep patriotism aside and view with a clear mind, you'll see that German national team is way more attractive to players than the super Eagles. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Nerdie, no one is doubting Uduokahi's quality. You don't play CB in Bundesliga without being a top quality player. But that's not the point tho. The million dollar question is, does he want to play for us? Is he willing to commit to us? If the young man has committed to us then case closed, he should get an invite asap. He's better, or at least on par, with any one of our Center Backs right now. O pari TheSuperNerd: 1 Like |
